It’s Tuesday, May 14th, 2013…but before we begin, it’s worth noting how The First Marxists marked Mothers Day:

Screen-shot-2013-05-11-at-2.12.15-PM1

“Free” birth control; after all, isn’t that what Mothers Day is all about?!?

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, a President who’s been MIA his entire life is finally confronted with the consequences of making a career of voting “present”:

Same song…

…different tune!  In the meantime, as the WSJ notes, The Anointed One’s attempts to revise history continue:

“…Keep in mind, by the way, these so-called [Benghazi] talking points that were prepared for Susan Rice five, six days after the event occurred pretty much matched the assessments that I was receiving at that time in my presidential daily briefing. And keep in mind that two to three days after Susan Rice appeared on the Sunday shows, using these talking points, which have been the source of all this controversy, I sent up the head of our National Counterterrorism Center, Matt Olsen, up to Capitol Hill and specifically said it was an act of terrorism and that extremist elements inside of Libya had been involved in it.

So if this was some effort on our part to try to downplay what had happened or tamp it down, that would be a pretty odd thing that three days later we end up putting out all the information that, in fact, has now served as the basis for everybody recognizing that this was a terrorist attack and that it may have included elements that were planned by extremists inside of Libya.

Who executes some sort of cover-up or effort to tamp things down for three days? (Other than someone who thinks his absolute control of the MSM permits him to do so?!?) So the whole thing defies logic. And the fact that this keeps on getting churned out, frankly, has a lot to do with political motivations. We’ve had folks who have challenged Hillary Clinton‘s integrity, Susan Rice’s integrity, Mike Mullen and Tom Pickering’s integrity. It’s a given that mine gets challenged by these same folks.

That’s because, in the words of our dear, departed Dad addressing one of his sons’ numerous transgressions, “One of you would lie and the other would verify it!”  They’re either lying, Mr. “Voting Presentdent”, or they’re gullible to the point of ignorance; take your pick.  And need we mention it was Hillary who coined the phrase “vast right-wing conspiracy” in defense of her husband’s patent prevarications and dubious denials?!?

One thing’s for certain: when the music finally stops…

loLong-StoryA Stain on her Record

…neither The Obamao nor his compliant shills in the MSM plan on The Dear Misleader being the one left standing.

Though as Joe Curl suggests in The Washington Times, courtesy of the Drudge Report, Langley doesn’t appear prepared to play the part of the sacrificial lamb:

Watch out for Petraeus in Benghazi scandal

CIA Director David Petraeus, testifies b

…Despite protestations by the White House, this scandal is just beginning. And the White House has picked a very bad scapegoat: the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA follows RFK’s edict: “Don’t get mad, get even.” And when the CIA gets even, it isn’t pretty.

With the White House putting all blame on the agency, expect push back this week — nuclear push back. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the former director forced to resign after a sex scandal, is a dangerous man to the Obama administration. Mad and intent on getting even, he’s already talking, telling one reporter the talking points were “useless” and that he preferred not to use them at all. The floodgates will open this week, and by the end of business Friday, the scandal will be full blown.

And though the blame for Benghazi may not ultimately be affixed to Hillary’s ample arse…

mrz051313dAPR20130513094523 aria_c10920720130512120100

…the fallout may well spell the end of this toad’s wild ride.  After all, Benghazi and Bosnia are bad enough:image001

Put ’em together with Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate and all the other misstatements, scandals and skeletons littering Hillary’s history, and you have the stuff of dreams for political attack ads…from candidates of either party.

In the meantime, as the WSJ reports, the plot thickens:

The IRS Wants You

The scandal over politicized tax enforcement is growing.

tea_party_scotus_AP

And did we mention they’re now in charge of implementing Obamascare?!?

President Obama famously joked in a college commencement address in 2009 that he could use the IRS to target political enemies but of course he never would. It appears that people at the Internal Revenue Service didn’t think he was joking.

That’s become clear since IRS Director of Exempt Organizations Lois Lerner admitted on Friday that the agency targeted conservatives for special tax-exempt scrutiny during the 2012 election season. The story has already blossomed into the latest abuse of government power, as documents show the IRS targeted tea party types and groups that specifically opposed the Obama Administration.

But trust him; like Sergeant Schultz…

…he knew NOTHING!  Maybe if he played less golf…?!?

As for any objections Dimocrats such as Max Baucus might voice, save your breath; you knowingly made a deal with the Devil…and Perdition awaits.

Speaking of career dissipation lights going into high gear, the glow in the corner of Eric Holder’s eye must be bright indeed:

Justice Department secretly obtained AP phone records

time-to-fire-holder-crook-politics-1322968806

The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news.

The records obtained by the Justice Department listed outgoing calls for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, for general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and for the main number for the AP in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP. It was not clear if the records also included incoming calls or the duration of the calls.

In all, the government seized the records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown, but more than 100 journalists work in the offices where phone records were targeted, on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.

In a letter of protest sent to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, AP President and Chief Executive Officer Gary Pruitt said the government sought and obtained information far beyond anything that could be justified by any specific investigation. He demanded the return of the phone records and destruction of all copies.

“There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters. These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP’s newsgathering operations and disclose information about AP’s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know,” Pruitt said.

The government would not say why it sought the records. Officials have previously said in public testimony that the U.S. attorney in Washington is conducting a criminal investigation into who may have provided information contained in a May 7, 2012, AP story about a foiled terror plot. The story disclosed details of a CIA operation in Yemen that stopped an al-Qaida plot in the spring of 2012 to detonate a bomb on an airplane bound for the United States.

Wethinks Mr. Pruitt doth protest too much, particularly for a man at the helm of a supposed news-gathering organization which has remained strangely silent about Benghazi, Fast & Furious and any other of a hundred scandals involving Team Tick-Tock which would have sunk any Republican Administration.

But don’t hold your breath waiting for the AP‘s indignation to take the form of any serious investigative journalism; after all, that would require some old-fashioned, hard-nosed reporting, not only on this Administration’s past transgressions, but sins they’re currently contemplating, as the The New Media Journal details:

US Discussing Giving Russia Missile Defense Data

U.S. President Barack Obama shakes hands with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Korea

“After my election I have more flexibility”…to sell out America”

The head of the US Missile Defense Agency says that the Obama administration has discussed declassifying key data on US missile defense in order to provide it to Russia. The administration has been exploring how to ease Russian concerns that the US missile defense shield is aimed at countering Russia’s nuclear arsenal.

Arms control advocates have suggested that revealing missile interceptor capabilities could provide a breakthrough on an issue that Russia says stands in the way of nuclear arms reductions. But doing so would provoke charges by Republicans that the administration is compromising national security to appease Moscow.

Under questioning at a hearing on Wednesday, Missile Defense Agency director Vice Adm. James Syring said that he has discussed declassifying data, including the speed of interceptors, with senior Defense Department officials. Missile defense has long been a contentious issue between the United States and Russia. The US has said that its capabilities are aimed at countering threats from Iran and North Korea. It says that its interceptors would not pose a threat to Russia’s huge nuclear arsenal.

Obama has twice altered US missile defense plans in Europe that Russia had stridently opposed. He has said the decisions were about better addressing threats. But Republicans have charged that they were aimed at soothing Russian objections.

One doesn’t require the intellect of a rocket surgeon to appreciate a purely defensive missile system only threatens the offensive capabilities of a potential aggressor.  So until someone gives us a darn good reason an American President should kowtow to wishes of a decidedly unfriendly foreign power, we’re filing this one in the “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” file.

And since we’re on the subject of those dedicated to America’s destruction, it’s time for the Muslim Minute, courtesy today of Jim Geraghty and National Review:

One Big Reason America Is Ready to Ignore the Muslim World for a Long While

Yes, the world has many wonderful Muslims in it. But it’s time for all of us to stop pretending that the basic teachings of the faith don’t frequently bring its practitioners into direct, often violent conflict with some of the basic concepts of Western liberty. For example, let this chart from The Economist depress the heck out of you:

clip_image002

The freedom to choose your faith, and leave one you no longer find to be true or speaking to your soul, is a fundamental one — and more than 70 percent of Muslims in Pakistan, Jordan, Afghanistan, and Egypt believe it should be legal to kill you for leaving Islam.

That might be one more reason that Americans are ready to wash their hands of the Muslim world and let those countries’ inhabitants tear themselves apart.

Lebanese man gets 300 lashes, 6 years for helping woman convert to Christianity

saudiwomen

A Lebanese man was sentenced to 300 lashes with a whip and six years in prison for his role in helping a Saudi woman convert to Christianity and flee the kingdom in the latest example of the religious intolerance that grips the region. The court in the Eastern Saudi city of Khobar — situated on the coast of the Persian Gulf — also sentenced a Saudi man to two years in prison and 200 lashes for helping the young woman named Maryam — who has been dubbed “the girl of Khobar” — in her escape to Sweden to secure asylum.

Maryam, whose case has been closely followed in Saudi Arabia, criticized Saudi Arabia’s Sunni monarchy for instilling in her a hatred of Judaism and Christianity, according to the English-language Saudi Gazette. The Jeddah-based paper wrote that she “fell in love with the religions after she found peace in Christianity.”

Upon hearing the verdict, B. Hussein Obama praised the Saudi court’s leniency and tolerance, noting, “After all, they could have had them stoned or beheaded!”  Okay…that we made up; but it’s what he’s thinking!

And back in Beantown, as we previously observed, the kudos initially heaped upon law enforcement in the wake of the Marathon Massacre were somewhat…premature:

Boston Manhunt ‘Missed the Boat’ as Police Skip Street

ibgJgcm.mgnQ

Sue Lund lives about five blocks from where police engaged in a wild shootout April 19 with the two Boston Marathon bombing suspects and about eight doors down from where the one who escaped alive was found 18 hours later.

Yet, during the all-day manhunt, she said police never searched her Franklin Street home or garden shed in Watertown, Massachusetts. Ten other neighbors had the same story and said they didn’t know of any homes that had been searched on Franklin, where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was discovered by someone on the street about 30 minutes after an area lockdown was lifted.

iivQ9Nx1WS50

“A lot of people’s lives were put in danger because someone in charge wasn’t doing his job,” said Lund, 61, as she stood on the wide front porch of her Victorian house. “People could have been killed because after the lockdown ended everyone came streaming out of their houses and suddenly we were in a combat zone.”

It has been more than a week since police were hailed as heroes in Boston, eliciting cheers and hugs in the aftermath of the death of one suspect and capture of the other in the April 15 bombing that killed three and injured 260. As more details of the bombing and the subsequent search for Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his younger brother Dzhokhar emerge, some residents and officials are expressing skepticism about the police work.

But then, the Boston Police were only emulating the example of ineptitude set for them by the DHS, CIA and FBI.

NY ice cream truck operators accused of harassing rival vendor

bskyb_image_235734_v1_pic1_1_400x240

The chilly relationship between rival upstate New York ice cream truck operators got out of hand this season, with Sno Cone Joe trying to chase Mr. Ding-A-Ling out of the market, authorities said Wednesday. Gloversville police told local media outlets two Sno Cone Joe operators face harassment and stalking charges after heated confrontations last month that included one of them yelling “This is my town!” at a Mr. Ding-A-Ling driver.

The driver told police that Sno Cone Joe owners Joshua Malatino and Amanda Scott followed his truck, playing their music at high volume and trying to lure away customers with promises of free ice cream. Police said Malatino also called the suburban Albany headquarters of Mr. Ding-A-Ling and said “I own this town!” while claiming Sno Cone Joe controls the frozen treats market in Gloversville, a former manufacturing city about 35 miles northwest of Albany.

Organized crime comes to Gloversville.

Meanwhile, even further out in the sticks, we meet the subject of today’s Natural Selection segment:

W. Va. Man Electrocuted After Shooting Down Power Line To Steal Copper

Police in Fayette County say a man was electrocuted when he picked up a live power line that he had shot down in order to steal copper from it. Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler says the man’s body was found Wednesday in Thurmond. Kessler says the man and an accomplice planned to strip the line of its copper wiring to later sell as scrap metal.

California Bill Would Allow Students to Use Bathrooms ‘Consistent with His or Her Gender Identity’

http://www.dreamstime.com/-image11337675

A proposed law introduced in the California State legislature would allow public  school children to use bathrooms designated for members of the opposite sex, if that students’ “gender identity” differed from the students biological sex. Assembly Bill 1266, introduced by Democratic Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, who represents a section of the city of San Francisco would:

…require that a pupil be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s record.”

While the bill does not specifically mention restrooms, restrooms and locker rooms are generally considered to be part of the “facilities” in schools throughout the country. The bill would apparently also require that biological males be permitted to try out for, and play on, girls’ sports teams if they identify themselves as females.

Gee; what could possibly go wrong…

“No…seriously…we’re women trapped in men’s bodies!  Now which way to the girls’ showers?!?”
