It’s Monday, October 13th, Columbus Day 2014…but before we begin, a brief observation on the fiasco which may soon make Dubya’s reaction to Hurricane Katrina look like a model of government efficiency.

Soooo…first the President assures us it’s “highly unlikely” Ebola would ever reach our shores; but should it happen, his government has all the necessary procedures and policies in place to immediately contain it.  Yeah…and you can keep your doctor, health insurance plan and The Great Prevaricator swore never to take a vacation!

trust-me

Enter one Thomas Duncan, an uneducated, unemployed Liberian who not only defied The Obamao’s own odds by introducing Ebola to America, but somehow managed to get around every step of the President’s vaunted identification and containment processes.

And now that one of the nurses who treated Duncan…at taxpayer expense, of course…has contracted the dread disease, the CDC says they need to modify the treatment protocols…while at the same time telling us they work?!?  Oh, as an aside, they also mentioned other hospital employees may have become exposed/infected in the same way?!?  The good news is, we’re assured an investigation is underway; the bad news is Lois Lerner is leading it!

What amazes us isn’t that the level of public confidence in government is at an all-time low, but that there’s any support anywhere for a single Dimocratic candidate for office!

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, in keeping with our opening, and courtesy of Bill Meisen and The Weekly Standard, a brilliantly-written must-read piece from Steve Hayes detailing the complete collapse of this Communist’s house of cards:

Failure Upon Failure

The disintegration of the Obama presidency

WELL.v20-06.2014-10-20.Hayes_.TWS_PhotoIllustration

…As we approach the sixth anniversary of his election, the Obama presidency is in tatters. Obama’s policies, foreign and domestic, are widely seen as failed or failing. His approval rating is near its lowest point. Obama’s base of support is loyal and fierce and shrinking. Much of the country sees him as incompetent or untrustworthy, and government, far from being “cool,” is a joke on good days and a threat on bad ones.

…The Obama presidency has seen many low points, but this has to have been one of the lowest—Jimmy Carter questioning Obama’s competence and Bill Clinton questioning his integrity…”

Hayes is absolutely spot-on, yet doesn’t even mention Fast & Furious, the purposeful race-baiting divisiveness and class-warfare, the illegal recess appointments and EPA overreaches, etc., etc., etc.  Likely he felt the scandals cited were sufficient proof of his point; but what does it say about this President, not to mention the fools who elected him a second time, when his misdeeds defy easy accounting?

Since we’re on the subject of The Dear Misleader’s abject failures, writing at Britain’s The Independent, Patrick Cockburn offers his assessment of Barry’s latest display of utter ineptitude:

War against Isis: US strategy in tatters as militants march on

World View: American-led air attacks are failing. Jihadis are close to taking Kobani, in Syria – and in Iraq western Baghdad is now under serious threat

ISIS-white-house-threat (1)

Sorry ISIS; ignorant, uninformed American voters and diehard Dimocrats have already done that…twice!

“America’s plans to fight Islamic State are in ruins as the militant group’s fighters come close to capturing Kobani and have inflicted a heavy defeat on the Iraqi army west of Baghdad.and bases on or close to the Euphrates River west of Baghdad fell in a few days, often after little resistance by the Iraqi Army which showed itself to be as dysfunctional as in the past, even when backed by US air strikes.

The US-led air attacks launched against Islamic State (also known as Isis) on 8 August in Iraq and 23 September in Syria have not worked. President Obama’s plan to “degrade and destroy” Islamic State has not even begun to achieve success. In both Syria and Iraq, Isis is expanding its control rather than contracting.

Isis reinforcements have been rushing towards Kobani in the past few days to ensure that they win a decisive victory over the Syrian Kurdish town’s remaining defenders. The group is willing to take heavy casualties in street fighting and from air attacks in order to add to the string of victories it has won in the four months since its forces captured Mosul, the second-largest city in Iraq, on 10 June. Part of the strength of the fundamentalist movement is a sense that there is something inevitable and divinely inspired about its victories, whether it is against superior numbers in Mosul or US airpower at Kobani.

In the face of a likely Isis victory at Kobani, senior US officials have been trying to explain away the failure to save the Syrian Kurds in the town, probably Isis’s toughest opponents in Syria. “Our focus in Syria is in degrading the capacity of [Isis] at its core to project power, to command itself, to sustain itself, to resource itself,” said US Deputy National Security Adviser Tony Blinken, in a typical piece of waffle designed to mask defeat. “The tragic reality is that in the course of doing that there are going to be places like Kobani where we may or may not be able to fight effectively.”

Unfortunately for the US, Kobani isn’t the only place air strikes are failing to stop Isis. In an offensive in Iraq launched on 2 October but little reported in the outside world, Isis has captured almost all the cities and towns it did not already hold in Anbar province, a vast area in western Iraq that makes up a quarter of the country. It has captured Hit, Kubaisa and Ramadi, the provincial capital, which it had long fought for. Other cities, towns and bases on or close to the Euphrates River west of Baghdad fell in a few days, often after little resistance by the Iraqi Army which showed itself to be as dysfunctional as in the past, even when backed by US air strikes.

Gee…maybe if this most-Manchurian of candidates hadn’t telegraphed what he intended to do, giving ISIS ample time to move their top leadership and more sophisticated weapons out of harm’s way into more densely-populated areas, the U.S. effort (and make no mistake about it, regardless of what B.S you hear about a coalition, this is a U.S. effort!) might have proved more effective.

Regardless, air power alone has never decided a conflict; not even the first Gulf War.  And the battle against Islamic terror won’t prove the exception.

Next up, here’s a real shocker: yet another example of B. Hussein’s unbridled predilection for hypocrisy:

Obama Hits GOP For Being Party of Billionaires Before Attending Fundraiser Hosted by Billionaire

Obama-TwoFacedWithMillionairesAndBillionairesMoney

“President Barack Obama chided the Republican Party for catering to the ‘interests of billionaires’ in an email to supporters on Tuesday, then attended a series of high-dollar fundraisers, including one at real estate mogul Rich Richman’s house. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser at Richman’s house in Greenwich, Connecticut, cost as much as $32,400 a person, according to the White House.

…In addition to the event at Richman’s house, Obama attended a roundtable with Democratic supporters on Tuesday that was closed to press and a fundraiser at the home of Bill White and Bryan Eure. White is the former head of the Intrepid Air and Space Museum in New York. White resigned in 2010 after coming under investigation by then-state attorney general, now governor, Andrew Cuomo, for his participation in a state pension fund scheme. The attorney general’s office never brought charges against White, but the longtime Democratic donor was forced to pay $1 million in restitution to the government.

That event at his home on Tuesday also cost $32,400 to attend. Asked about the fundraiser by the New York Daily News on Tuesday, a White House spokesman declined to comment…

Speaking of naked Progressive hypocrisy, courtesy of Townhall.com, former Georgia Congressman Bob Barr exposes a particularly egregious example:

Voter ID vs. Concealed Carry – Liberal Hypocrisy Unmasked

“Let me be clear,” Attorney General Eric Holder emphatically declared in a 2012 speech to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, “we will not allow political pretexts to disenfranchise American citizens of their most precious rights.” Holder’s remarks were a call to arms against efforts by Republicans to require that voters show identification when they go to vote. His words reflect a belief that the right to vote is so “precious” that requiring individuals to show an ID before casting a vote is tantamount to being “disenfranchised.”

However, when it comes to protecting the right to “keep and bear arms” – which, unlike the right to vote, is a right expressly guaranteed in the Constitution itself – the Attorney General of the United States is nowhere to be found. Apparently our Second Amendment rights are just not “precious” enough to worry about when governments engage in actions expressly designed to “disenfranchise” individuals from exercising those rights.

The hypocrisy is so blatant it is painful

As is listening to a single word either Holder or his boob of a boss have to say.  Put another way, this is a lawless Attorney General who…

Meanwhile, how can the country have an honest conversation about Eric the Red’s favorite red-herring when the biggest source of the problem cannot even be discussed, as exemplified by this report on a recent riot at the Arizona state fair:

Keep in mind, Blacks comprise only 4.6% of Arizona’s population versus 13.2% of the nation at large; yet somehow the fact this was an all-Black melee…in Phoenix…isn’t pertinent to the story.  Dozens, if not hundreds, of similar events have occurred during The Great Divider’s tenure in office and remain likewise been unreported, at least at any national level.  We know, because we’ve reported any number of them, the assault on a white couple in Norfolk, VA by a mob of angry Blacks being but one.

The man and woman were savagely beaten within four blocks of the offices of The Virginian-Pilot, the local Liberal rag where both worked.  Yet their own employer didn’t see fit to even report the clearly-racial attack as news.  And local police, after telling the admittedly-hysterical female victim “to shut up and get in her car”, explained their disinterest in investigating the assault by observing the attackers were“probably juveniles anyway”, and “What are we going to do? Find their parents and tell them?”

An officer then pointed to the public housing adjacent to the site of the attack and observed on weekends large groups of Black teenagers regularly comb the area looking for trouble, excusing their virtual mob rule because “It’s what they do.” And “nothing” is what Team Tick-Tock’s done to combat racially-motivated assaults and rioting by gangs of Blacks against innocent Whites, or the MSM in reporting it.

Then again, as Victor Davis Hanson relates, what should one expect from an Administration running the country like a Progressive version of the Committee of Public Safety:

Is the French Revolution Our New Model?

2601159706_0f8ce62e85_o

More the Russian Revolution than French!

“At the end of the 18th century, there were two great Western revolutions — the American and the French. Americans opted for the freedom of the individual, and divinely endowed absolute rights and values.

A quite different French version sought equality of result. French firebrands saw laws less as absolute, but instead as useful to the degree that they contributed to supposed social justice and coerced redistribution. They ended up not with a Bill of Rights and separation of powers, but instead with mass executions and Napoleonic tyranny.

Unfortunately, the Obama administration is following more the French model than the American. Suddenly, once-nonpartisan federal bureaucracies have become catalysts for fundamentally transforming America. Often-ideological bureaucrats have forgotten their original mission. NASA might do better to ensure that our astronauts are independent of Vladimir Putin’s Russian rockets rather than claiming that its primary mission is to reach out to the Muslim community.

Intelligence directors vie with one another to please superiors with fatuous but politically correct analysis. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper assured us that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt was largely secular. CIA Director John Brennan once termed a now-emerging Islamic caliphate as “absurd.” Former Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano once warned that returning veterans and right-wingers were the chief domestic terrorist threats, not Islamic jihadists…”

For more on the subject of ignorant people of color and the Progressive media machine which protects them, George Lawlor forwarded this next video clip of Moochie extolling the virtues of her “good friend” would-be Senator Whatshisname:

Any question were this Laura Bush or Ann Romney, the incredibly ignorant gaffe would been accorded top billing on every front page and evening newscast in the country?!?

And in the Environmental Moment, further proof that, at least when it comes to law-breaking Liberals, old tricks remain the best tricks:

‘Doing an IRS’? EPA can’t find top official’s text messages

odzyskiwanie-skasowanych-plików

Actual photograph of EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy hard at work!

The EPA is poised to “do an IRS” — similar to what the tax agency had to do with dismissed top official Lois G. Lerner — and officially notify the National Archives that it may have lost key electronic records, according to a think tank that’s suing to get text messages under an open-records request. Justice Department lawyers told a federal court on Tuesday that the alert will be coming soon, in a case that’s shaping up as a significant battle over whether government agencies are required to keep cellphone text messages as “official” records.

In this case, researcher Chris Horner and the Competitive Enterprise Institute are trying to get a peek at Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy’s text messages, believing that she switched from emails to texting in order to talk about the agency’s controversial plans to crack down on coal power plants…

They are all, quite literally, crooked as a dog’s hind leg; and every bit as Red as…
