It’s Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014…but before we begin, a few brief thoughts on the non-stop farcical focus on Ferguson.  First, as Rich Lowry observed on Meet the Progressive Press last Sunday:

“If you look at the most credible evidence, the lessons are really basic: Don’t rob a convenience store, don’t fight a policeman when he stops you and try to take his gun, and when he tells at you to stop with his gun drawn, just stop.”

To which we would add don’t strong-arm convenience store clerks, don’t continue to walk down the middle of the street when a policeman asks you to move and, if you’re going to ignore the previous admonitions, for goodness sake don’t do them while high on weed.  Michael Brown didn’t deserve to die any more than Darren Wilson wanted to kill him.  But Brown alone was responsible for the events which unfolded in Ferguson.

Second, as Keith Koffler notes at White House Dossier:

“I believe racist policing is a problem. I believe it is next to nothing in comparison to the problem of the degradation of communities where three quarters of the babies are born out of wedlock and boys lack fathers and a cohesive family structure to put them on the right path. Racist policing is not where the president’s focus needs to be.”

We frankly don’t believe “racist policing” is in fact a problem, let alone one requiring federal attention.  But even if it were, which we strongly doubt, it would cease to exist were Blacks to stop committing a grossly disproportionate percentage of violent crimes.

Lastly, keep in mind the focus on the Ferguson Farce has has nothing to do with Michael Brown or racist police officers; it’s intended to deflect criticism of, and misdirect attention from, The Obamao’s innumerable policy failures, including but not limited to Iran, ISIS, the IRS, ObamaScare, Amnesty, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, etc., etc., etc. ad nauseam.

By the way, approximately 155 Black Chicagoans have been murdered by other Black Chicagoans since the day Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown.  The silence from The Reverends and our Race-Baiter-in-Chief has been deafening.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

Turning now to our top story of the day, writing at PJMedia, Victor Davis Hanson details what happens…

When the Law Is a Drag

obama-lawless-president-renegade-antichrist

In the Ferguson disaster, the law was the greatest casualty. Civilization cannot long work if youths strong-arm shop owners and take what they want. Or walk down the middle of highways high on illicit drugs. Or attack police officers and seek to grab their weapons. Or fail to obey an officer’s command to halt. Or deliberately give false testimonies to authorities. Or riot, burn, and loot. Or, in the more abstract sense, simply ignore the legal findings of a grand jury; or, in critical legal theory fashion, seek to dismiss the authority of the law because it is not deemed useful to some preconceived theory of social justice. Do that and society crumbles.

In our cynicism we accept, to avoid further unrest, that no government agency will in six months prosecute the looters and burners, or charge with perjury those who brazenly lied in their depositions to authorities, or charge the companion of Michael Brown with an accessory role in strong-arm robbery, or charge the stepfather of Michael Brown for using a bullhorn to incite a crowd to riot and loot and burn. We accept that because legality is becoming an abstraction, as it is in most parts of the world outside the U.S. where politics makes the law fluid and transient.

Nor can a government maintain legitimacy when it presides over lawlessness. The president of the United States on over 20 occasions insisted that it would be illegal, dictatorial, and unconstitutional to contravene federal immigration law — at least when to do so was politically inexpedient. When it was not, he did just that. Now we enter the Orwellian world of a videotaped president repeatedly warning that what he would soon do would be in fact illegal. Has a U.S. president ever so frequently and fervently warned the country about the likes of himself?…”

Do You Have a Reservation?

Do You Have a Reservation

Speaking to an audience in Chicago (the Indian word for “corruption”), Barack Obama continued jamming his thumb into America’s eye by declaring that the only people with any right to speak out against illegal immigration are Native Americans. His clear implication is that everyone else is here illegally, the very concept of “borders” is meaningless, and immigration law is now null and void.

Of course, criminalizing citizenship wasn’t enough for Barry, who also had to include his regular straw man argument that the amnesty debate isn’t about whether or not to reward lawbreakers, but whether or not America is teeming with white racists“Sometimes we get attached to our particular tribe,” the war-painted president lectured while gnawing a piece of pemmican, “our particular race, our particular religion, and then we start treating other folks differently. That has been a bottleneck to how we think about immigration.”

Well, no, actually it hasn’t. And the only bottleneck we’re familiar with is the one going to our lips all too frequently when we think about the two trillion taxpayer dollars expected to be spent on just the first wave of Obama’s amnestied illegals.

Still, as long as Barry has brought up Native Americans, maybe he’d actually like to follow through and do something for them, since the (ahem) “Obama recovery” has done less for them than any other group. Then again, maybe the Great Half-White Father is just speaking with a forked tongue again.

Next up, the inevitable result of The Dear Misleader’s relentless campaign of racial division as reported by the Daily Mail:

Four teens beat St Louis motorist to death with hammers after he got out to confront them when they attacked his car

A gang of teenagers used hammers to beat a newlywed to death in front of his wife after they attacked his car early on Sunday morning in an apparently random attack. Zemir Begic was heading home from a bar at t 1:15 a.m in St Louis when a group of teenagers surrounded his car and began banging on it. The 32-year-old stepped out of the vehicle, only to be yelled at and set upon with hammers, striking him in the head, abdomen and face and leaving him fatally injured.

The suspects are described as being a group of Hispanic and black males by the St Louis Post-Dispatch but Police Chief Sam Dotson stated the attack was not racially or ethnically motivatedThe attack was not related to Ferguson protests taking place in the city, police say.

We’re to believe four young men of “color” just happened upon some hammers and suddenly decided, without any provocation whatsoever, to beat a random White stranger to death with them?!?  This despite several witnesses telling police they’d seen the four protesting the Ferguson grand jury decision immediately prior to the attack?!?

Yeah…

yeahright

The only thing missing in this shameless charade is Susan Rice blaming the murder on a video.

Since we’re on the subject of the most lawless, lying White House in American history, courtesy of the WSJ, here’s Jason Riley’s thoughts on…

Obama’s Body Cameras

There-Is-A-Sandy-Clause

Body cameras and better-trained police: just another attempt to deflect attention from the REAL problem!

A grand jury found no reason to charge Darren Wilson in the Ferguson, Mo., shooting death of black teenager Michael Brown, but that won’t stop President Obama from pretending that the white police officer did something wrong.

On Monday, the White House pledged $263 million in new federal funding for 50,000 body cameras, additional police training and outreach efforts designed to build trust between police departments and minority communities.

“The president and his administration are very focused on the underlying issues that have been uncovered in a pretty raw way in Ferguson,” said White House press secretary Josh Earnest. But if the president was really focused on “underlying issues,” he’d be leading a national conversation about the violent anti-social behavior in poor black neighborhoods that better explains the police presence. Instead, Mr. Obama seems much more focused on furthering an anti-cop media narrative that aligns with a liberal political narrative and maintains that black America’s failures are the fault of others…”

To wit, courtesy of Balls Cotton and Hey Jackass!, statistics from The Obamao’s old ‘Hood which paint a picture far different than the bullsh*t Barry’s pushing:

murder_matrix2-320x393

Totals Since Ferguson (Aug 9 – Nov 24):

Shot & Killed: 130
Shot & Wounded: 725
Total Shot: 855
Total Homicides:
155

We’ll leave it to the Journal‘s Jason Riley to accurately describe what’s really happening here:

But if you want statistics documenting the REAL crime being perpetrated against Blacks in America, as CNSNews reports…

NYC: 78% of Abortions Were Black and Hispanic Babies

sonogram24_2008-07-02b

“The Abortion Surveillance report published by the CDC, for which the latest abortion numbers are for 2011, show there were 76,251 abortions in New York City that year. For that total, 9,550 abortions were of white babies, which is 12.5% of the total; 35,188 babies were black (46.1% of total); 23,959 were Hispanic (31.4%); and another 7,554  “other” abortions, 9.9%, which includes Asians and Native Americans, as well as those babies not reported by race.

Blacks, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, make up 25.5% of the population of New York City, and Hispanics comprise 28.6% of the NYC population. Despite those population percentages, blacks make up 46.1% of the abortions, and Hispanics, 31.4%…”

Congress should end Obama’s dangerous charade with Iran

KerryIranDeal_zps58a4d367

“…This Nov. 24 — after those six months of talks and a six-month extension both bore no fruit – Kerry and his team of negotiators agreed to give the regime yet another seven-month extension. But what more is there to talk about?

Over the course of the negotiations, the Obama administration has given ground to Iran on uranium enrichment, plutonium development and missile technology. This has not led to a deal. Iran continues deceive the international community, to inch toward a nuclear weapon, and to enjoy billions of dollars in sanctions relief in the meantime.

In a press conference following the extension, Kerry insisted, “The interim agreement wasn’t violated. Iran has held up its end of the bargain, and the sanctions regime has remained intact.” In his drive to convince skeptics that his negotiations haven’t been an epic failure, the U.S. Secretary of State has resorted to spinning on behalf of Iranian regime…”

What?  John Kerry aiding and abetting the enemy?!?

Who’da thunk it?!?

And in the Environmental Moment, courtesy of the WSJ, Rupert Darwall recounts how The Dear Misleader’s refusal to relent on his Socialist agenda continues to make 2016 look better and better for the GOP:

Obama Puts Climate on the 2016 Ballot

The president’s unilateral approach ensures that a new global carbon pact will be a campaign issue in two years.

polarbearschilling

“…For Republicans, this has the makings of a winning issue. In 2016 Mr. Obama will force Democrats to run, in effect, on a platform of fewer jobs, more-expensive energy and an indefinite commitment to paying billions of dollars of climate aid.

Another concern: The administration’s climate plans involve a federal takeover of electricity generation, a critical segment of the economy. Kind of like the way ObamaCare took over health care. We can see how that’s working out.

This’ll be fun to watch!

Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with the Sports Edition of Idiots on Parade:

gmc12543420141201035300

No further explanation required, other than to note the NFL demonstrated its gutlessness by taking no action against what was clearly a political statement.  The league sees fit to deny Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice their livelihoods in response to what are clearly private matters, yet is unwilling to discipline an ignorant, uninformed display which is clearly in violation of its own rules.
