It’s Wednesday, February 25th, 2015, but before we begin, two thoughts; first, another quote from the same Jonah Goldberg commentary sourced above:

“…The thousands of young men (and women) abandoning the West to join the apocalyptic project of the Islamic State are not doing so simply because they are murderers or petty criminals looking for a convenient excuse. No doubt people susceptible to jihadist appeals have their “issues,” but trying to understand jihadists without consulting jihadism is like trying to explain why there are relatively few Amish nuclear engineers without referring to Anabaptism.”

Second, are we the only one struck by the fact the supposed Mall of America “threat” to the Heartland conveniently coincided with the DHS budget battle?

Guys and Dolls, these people aren’t simply inept, they’re downright dangerous.  And this denial of reality isn’t just bad foreign policy, it’s outright lunacy; all of which only confirms the greatest threat to the national security in the history of the United States is…

home grown…at least to some degree.

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, meet pathological liar Josh Earnest’s new boss,…

…same as the old boss!  To borrow a phrase from Moneyball

But if you thought the unparalleled lies of The Dear Misleader and his preening pack of prevaricators posed a clear and present danger to the Republic, as this forward from George Lawlor and Rasmussen Report relates, the greatest threat America faces today is the ignorance of her average citizen:

Should Obama Ignore the Federal Courts?

payn110103_02_cmyk

“President Obama’s immigration plan and his national health care law both face legal challenges this year that could bring them to a halt. But one-in-four voters think the president should be able to ignore the courts if he wants to, and Democrats believe that even more strongly.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 26% of Likely U.S. Voters think the president should have the right to ignore federal court rulings if they are standing in the way of actions he feels are important for the country. Sixty percent (60%) disagree and say the president should not have the right to ignore the courts. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

But perhaps more unsettling to supporters of constitutional checks and balances is the finding that 43% of Democrats believe the president should have the right to ignore the courts. Only 35% of voters in President Obama’s party disagree, compared to 81% of Republicans and 67% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

Fifty-two percent (52%) of all voters believe, generally speaking, that court challenges of actions approved by the president and Congress help protect the rights of U.S. citizens. Thirty percent (30%), however, consider such challenges mostly nuisances that stand in the way of good policy. Eighteen percent (18%) are not sure.

Thirty-one percent (31%) think it is more important for government to operate efficiently than it is to preserve our system of checks and balances. Nearly twice as many (59%) place more importance on maintaining checks and balances. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided…”

…is who he had in mind!  We don’t know what’s more disconcerting: that Americans, regardless of political persuasion, would dismiss the wisdom of the Founding Fathers with such disdain, or that so many seem willing to sow the seeds of dictatorship.

To borrow a phrase from A Christmas Carol:

“This boy is Ignorance, this girl is want.  Beware them both, but most of all beware this boy!”  Dickens was right; for what we’re reaping today is intended ignorance, sown by Progressives’ purposeful dumbing-down of our public education system.

And lest we forget, not too long ago a certain Northern European nation welcomed another group of Socialists touting the cost-free benefits of unrestrained Big Government…with open arms.

Next up, a few thoughts on the Rudy Guliani “scandal”, as reported by the New York Daily News:

Rudy Giuliani clarifies Obama comments by claiming the President has been influenced by communism, socialism

“Trying to explain his controversial comments that President Obama doesn’t love America, Rudy Giuliani said Friday that he believes the President has been influenced by communism and socialism.

“Look, this man was brought up basically in a white family, so whatever he learned or didn’t learn, I attribute this more to the influence of communism and socialism” than to his race, Giuliani told the Daily News.

“I don’t (see) this President as being particularly a product of African-American society or something like that. He isn’t,” the former mayor added. “Logically, think about his background. . . The ideas that are troubling me and are leading to this come from communists with whom he associated when he was 9 years old” through family connections…”

Color us confused; have The Obamao’s true politics ever been in question…at least by anyone with half the sense God gave a goose?!?  Let’s see…his mother was a Communist, his father was an anti-Western Black Nationalist/Socialist, his maternal grandparents were Communists, his mentor was a Communist, his hero was a Communist, his wife is a Communist, his pastor is a anti-White Socialist and his closest advisor is a Communist.

Other than that, how’d you like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?!?

Like the source of Miss Mona Lisa Vito’s automotive expertise…

…the evidence of The Obamao’s Communist upbringing and politics is as undeniably obvious as the ears on his head.

Is he a Christian?  Not no, but hell no; at least, not as we understand the Scriptures.  Barry never attends church, instead choosing to golf every Sunday, and has yet to do anything but misquote the Gospel and mischaracterize Christianity.  And he clearly used even the “Reverend” Wright’s even nominally-“Christian” Church of the Holy Gospel of Hatin’ Whitey only to gain traction with the Black community in Chicago and advance his political career.

Is he a Muslim?  Though Islam is a far more likely possibility than Christianity given his upbringing, we doubt it.  It’s our humble opinion there is only one god Barack Hussein Obama worships:

In conclusion, as Jonah Goldberg states in our Quote of the Day above, “Is it really so crazy to think a guy who feels compelled to warn his own countrymen not to get on their “high horse” about child rapists and slavers (who are also beheading, immolating and burying alive Americans, Christians, Yazidis, and Muslims) might subscribe to an, um, unconventional form of patriotism?”  Again, not no, but HELL NO!!!

Which we guess makes us a racist!

However, in interest of fairness and full disclosure, The Daily Gouge’s ever-roving reporters did uncover photographic evidence of The Great Prevaricator having approached a true Christian house of worship at least once:

Since we mentioned the wit and wisdom Jonah Goldberg, in this next item he suggests like every cloud, The Obamao’s…

Silly Denials of Islamic Terrorism Bring a Silver Lining

Completely-Coincidental

“In an essay for the Wall Street Journal, Secretary of State John Kerry asserts that “violent extremism can’t be justified by resorting to religion. No legitimate religious interpretation teaches adherents to commit unspeakable atrocities” such as those committed by the Islamic State, al-Qaida and other Muslim fanatics. For those who invest in John Kerry supreme religious authority, that statement is unquestionably true. The problem is that very few people take their religious cues from Kerryor Obama.

The White House repeatedly suggests that terrorism is like crime and that Islamic terrorists simply invoke religion as a convenient mask or marketing ploy. But this is an otherworldly farce, intended to please the ears of those who want to deal with the world as they wish it, not as it is…”

And as James Taranto details at Best of the Web, notwithstanding the Administration’s idiotic claims to the contrary, it appears there are indeed…

Jobs Jihadis Won’t Do

“Six men detained for more than 12 years at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and then sent to Montevideo have upset Uruguay’s government after officials offered them jobs—and they said no,” the Washington Times reports:

President Jose Mujica agreed to help resettle the ex-inmates as a goodwill gesture, The Associated Press reported. But a labor union in the country said the men have turned down several job offers. And now Mr. Mujica is characterizing them as somewhat lazy.

He made a personal visit to the homes of five of the men to encourage them to accept one of the jobs they’d be offered by a local union, but left disillusioned with their work ethic, telling a local radio station that they were about as different from hard-working Uruguayan nationals as they could get.

If these people were humble people of the desert, poor people, they’d surely be stronger and more primitive, but they’re not,” he said, AP reported. Through their hands, features and family histories, it seems to me that they’re middle class.”

It’s not every day that a social theory is put to such a quick and decisive test. Nice going, Marie Harf!

Who knew Uruguayans were so virulently racist and Islamophobic?!?

Finally, courtesy of CBS Atlanta, a story just in from Memphis we don’t quite know how to categorize!

“…WMC-TV reports that Jacqueiline Alexander has been charged with domestic assault for the incident that happened Tuesday. Memphis police told WMC that Alexander’s son was lying in bed when she punched him, telling him he was “being too feminine and gay.”

…Alexander was jailed on $1,000 bond. It is not known how old her son is.”

While we certainly can’t speak to the male in question’s sexual proclivities, one of two things is true: if the kid was a minor, this pugilistic parent deserves an extended stint behind bars.  But if he’s 17 or older, Alexander got at least the first part right!
