It’s Friday, August 19th, 2016…but before we begin, two quotes which epitomize how, in its unending pursuit of political power and personal profit, The Left utterly disregards not only the rule of law…

All we have to do to stop the violence is pay up. In essence, the Left’s agenda is exactly that of the infamous Milwaukee rioter who told the media, “The rich people, they got all this money, and they not like trying to give us none.” The Left utilizes rioters to achieve that redistribution. All it costs is the businesses of local black people, the safety of black residents, and the possibility of recovery in high-crime black areas.” – Ben Shapiro

George-Soros-funded-Ferguson-protests

…but basic ethics and morality:

To sum up, I think Bill Clinton could very well have raped Juanita Broaddrick; that it doesn’t make him an evil man, or irredeemable (I’m Catholic; we’re all forgiven, if we’re sorry, and Broaddrick says Bill Clinton personally called her up to apologize). It doesn’t even necessarily make him a bad feminist — you know, later, once he stops doing that.” – Rebecca Schoenkopf writing at Wonkette; sounds more like Rebecca Scheisskopf!

Thus, in the minds of Leftists, rape…

…rioting, looting, arson and the murder of innocents…even the assassination of police officers…all become acceptable collateral damage in achieving goals so lofty their importance is beyond the understanding of commoners and Conservatives!

But when one peeks behind the curtain, the entire Progressive movement is built on one lie after another: from the racial eugenics of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood…to the tens of millions of Third World malaria victims needlessly sacrificed to the false god of Rachel Carson’s environmental movement; from the purposeful and virtual entitlement enslavement of generations of Americans of every skin color…to the deliberate, debilitating dumbing down of our public education system in order to produce an electorate so under-educated and misinformed they can’t recognize what’s happening.  An unending stream of lie…upon lie…upon lie.

And with the vast majority of the Fourth Estate campaigning rather than reporting, the bigger the lie the better!

All of which makes the defeat of Hillary in November infinitely more important than worrying about what The Donald might do.

Oh,…and does anyone else remember the last time Louisiana got flooded…

…and the REPUBLICAN President at the time was crucified for supposedly not caring?!?

Obama gets update on deadly Louisiana floods, heads back to golf course

Obama.JPEG-047c7_c0-0-2427-1415_s885x516

Neither rain, nor floods, nor the beheadings of Americans will stay this President from his appointed rounds…of golf; over 3oo…almost a full year out of his two terms…and counting!

Nothing to report here, MSM; move along!

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, courtesy of NRO, Kevin Williamson offers a concise chronicle of the Clintons’ life-long devotion to disinformation, obfuscation and patent prevarication:

Move On

A short history of a Clintonian banality

cbf586fa10abf4d8dd4870d5ac3674c4 (1)

“Writing on Monday about Hillary Rodham Clinton’s ongoing e-mail problems, Young Master Ian relayed this from Leon Panetta, former secretary of defense and longtime Clinton-family sycophant: “I really do think it’s time for the candidates and for the American people to move on.”

Interesting choice of words: move on. “Move on” is of course the Clinton family motto. If the Clintons had a family crest, the Latin at the top would read: “movete!”

In fact, you can quickly get a read on a particular individual or organization’s dedication to kissing Clinton ass by noting how quickly it deployed “move on!” and how deeply it is dedicated to that motto.

dce150caff9e1c8f6b91118cc5ede0fc

…But consider this: President Clinton’s performance in office demanded a “move on!” Mrs. Clinton’s performance as first lady, aiding and abetting her husband’s various misdeeds (which were far from limited to sexually preying on the help) inspired a great deal of “move on!” Mrs. Clinton’s time in the Senate called for a “move on!” of its own. Her tenure as secretary of state was “move on!” after “move on!” after “move on!” She’s still demanding we “move on!” today, and her hangers-on sing a “move on!” chorus day and night.

It says something about the Clintons that every time a member of that sorry clan is given a position of public trust, it ends with a demand that we forget how they abused that trust and instead “move on!”

Most peculiar.

Or, more accurately, simply par for their corrupt course!

Speaking of unconcealed corruption, writing at the WSJ, Kimberly Strassel highlights…

Comey’s FBI Double Standard

To view Hillary’s FBI file, lawmakers must go to a secure room under lock and guard.

Clinton_Emails.JPEG-eb085_c0-181-3358-2138_s885x516

“I put the “lying douche” in lying douche pump!”

“…Bear in mind what the FBI investigation revealed: We know that Mrs. Clinton for years emailed top secret information willy-nilly over a home-brew server that lacked security. We know that this classified information leached into the private email accounts of those with whom she communicated. We know that she cavalierly used her private email while in hostile countries, making it possible that those countries gained access. We know that Mr. Comey nonetheless chose not to prosecute Mrs. Clinton for her “extremely careless” behavior.

Compare that standard with the one the FBI is now imposing on Congress, where the Clinton files are being guarded at a level that brings to mind the Vatican Secret Archives. Aides from an array of House committees described to me the extraordinary limits that have been placed on who can see the files and under what circumstances.

The FBI has provided just one set of Hillary files to be accessed by both the majority and minority members (and their staffs) of the House Oversight, Appropriations and Judiciary committees. That’s a single set of documents for hundreds upon hundreds of people. The files are being held in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) underneath the Capitol, a secure room reserved for viewing the highest-level secrets. That room is under lock, key and guard, and viewing is by appointment only.

Head of State 1

Many of these lawmakers and aides hold some of the highest clearances available to Congress, yet they are nonetheless barred from examining vast portions of the record. The FBI in some cases redacted entire documents, presumably at the request of various intelligence agencies, and to protect national security. Initially, visiting congressmen and staffers were not allowed to take any notes. After intense negotiations, the FBI on Thursday relented, but only on the condition that all notes remain behind in the SCIF.

Some of this is as it should be. These are, after all, national secrets. Yet the process highlights not only the absurdity of Mrs. Clinton’s claim that her server was no big deal, but also the irresponsibility of the FBI’s decision not to prosecute. Duly elected members of Congress are traversing layers of security and guards, clearances in hand, to view a few top-secret documents. Ask Mr. Comey why what is demanded of them was not demanded of Hillary.

But the contradiction gets even more extreme. The FBI has placed additional, and unnecessary, strictures on the Hillary file. It warned lawmakers against publicly sharing any information from the documents—even unclassified information. So the FBI chief won’t prosecute Mrs. Clinton for spreading secrets across the globe, but he bars Congress from talking about unclassified issues that potentially get to the heart of today’s presidential race. One might wonder why…”

So, congratulations Jim…

…and a lying, treasonous, corrupt douchebag at that; and one who frankly should be up on charges for obstruction of justice…as well as a good, old-fashioned Amish-style shunning…for selling out the country.

Which brings us to this instant classic from Hope ‘n Change:

No, Doc: you forgot its heart and its soul!

3 Out of 5 Texans Choose Secession if Clinton is Elected

1

According to recent poll numbers from Public Policy Polling, three out of five Texans said they would rather secede from the United States than stand behind a hypothetical President Hillary Clinton. Texans, along with many southerners, support seceding from America generally. But when Clinton is added to the mix, the majority of Texans say they’d rather leave

What the poll doesn’t reflect is the number of Americans, ourselves included, who would gladly move to Texas if she did secede!

Next up, another bit of brilliance from NRO‘s Kevin Williamson, as he exposes the utter idiocy inherent in every Progressive policy ever implemented:

Stalling the Engines of Progress

Obama concocts new commercial-trucking standards from thin air.

obama-commercial-truck-fuel-efficiency-standards-bad-economics

“…The White House has decided that the nation’s commercial trucks are not as fuel-efficient as they should be. Strangely, the people who own the trucks and pay for the fuel out of their own pockets do not share that opinion generally, but their opinions, being grounded in unglamorous reality rather than in political idealism, are given little weight.

Relying on the scientifically illiterate medium of the day, the Association Press reports that the new standards will cut “carbon pollution” (the agency means “carbon dioxide,” which isn’t the same thing as “carbon”) and — mirabile dictu! — “save vehicle owners billions of dollars in fuel costs and conserve tens of billions of gallons of oil.”

Follow the money, they tell them in journalism school. It apparently never occurred to the reporters and editors of the Associated Press, who truly must be as dumb as specimens of a not-very-bright variety of igneous rock, to ask why commercial-trucking operators — who are, after all, in the business of making money rather than frittering it away — had not already taken the step of saving themselves billions of dollars. Did it not occur to them that they like money — billions of dollars! — until Barack Obama, the wise and compassionate light-worker, pointed it out to them? How did they imagine this conversation would go?

President Obama: I demand you save yourselves billions of dollars!

U.S. President Obama delivers final State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress in Washington

Truckers: Oh, we’d never thought of that! Thanks, and blessings be upon you!

The answer, of course, is that improving fuel efficiency comes at a price. You don’t just throw away your old tractor-trailers and buy new ones: The current, slightly less-fuel-efficient models cost around $200,000 a copy and there are about 2 million of them in service, along with another 13.5 million commercial trucks in other configurations. Brady Dennis of the Washington Post reports that the new fuel-efficiency standards will add about $14,000 to the price of a big rig — or $28 billion, more than a third of the commercial-trucking industry’s annual revenue and many times more than its annual profit…”

But we again posit the problem isn’t that the Obamaites don’t know what they’re doing to truckers; rather, like Tommy Lee Jones confronting Harrison Ford at the outfall of the storm sewer…

theydon’tcare; about truckers or any other American not beholden to either their entitlements or crony capitalism.  And even then they don’t care about them; they just want their votes and campaign donations!

Since we’re on the subject of completely counterproductive controls, the editors at NRO mark the ignominious retreat of yet another national insurer from the Scam of the Century:

Aetna Out

Another blow to Obamacare

Listen as Zeke Emanuel substitutes lies and baseless innuendo for reasoned, objective debate.

“…This is far from the first sign of serious trouble, of course. From the beginning, the administration has had to engage in a series of frantic and legally dubious machinations to keep the system from toppling — creating new rules to let people keep some old insurance plans, delaying and altering various mandates, fines, and requirements, and throwing massive subsidies (at times without any congressional appropriations) at insurers to keep them from bolting.

And yet, here we are. In this third year of implementation, only 40 percent of eligible consumers are buying Obamacare exchange plans, the increase in the insured population has been about 25 percent lower than the Congressional Budget Office predicted when the law passed, and the average cost of subsidizing people in the exchanges is almost 20 percent higher than CBO predicted just a year ago.

“I said you could keep it; I never said you’d be able to afford it!”

But even given these other warning signs, the insurers fleeing the exchanges might be the worst sign of all because the exits suggest that the exchanges aren’t stabilizing. When he was arguing for his health-care program, President Barack Obama promised that the new law would reduce premiums by an average of $2,500 per family per year. Something close to the opposite has happened, with insurance premiums continuing to rise, some by 8 to 10 percent a year, some much more dramatically. That isn’t expected to slow down; it is expected to increase.

That makes insurance increasingly unaffordable for people who aren’t heavily subsidized. Those who are subsidized, meanwhile, find themselves with increasingly unattractive insurance options, because insurers who need to somehow keep those premiums down while still meeting Obamacare’s strict and rigid definitions of coverage are squeezing where they can — which often means narrower physician networks or more cost-sharing. Higher co-pays and deductibles are normally a price consumers pay for lower premiums. To pay those while still shouldering higher premiums every year is just a bad deal, and consumers know it…”

Oh,…and the lies just keep on coming, as the WSJ relates:

Obama’s R-Word for Iran

A spokesman calls it ‘leverage’ for prisoners, aka ransom for hostages.

xobama-lied-iran-ransom-370x208.png.pagespeed.ic.uCvfa6FxRe

“The Obama Administration’s handling of the Iran ransom-for-hostages story brings to mind the classic Chico Marx line in the movie “Duck Soup”: “Who are you going to believe—me or your own eyes?”

After everyone in the Administration from President Obama on down denied that a $400 million cash payment to Iran had anything to do with the same-day release of four American hostages, the State Department on Thursday said your own eyes had it right the first time. While still not using the R-word, State Department spokesman John Kirby said of the two events: “We of course wanted to seek maximum leverage in this case as these two things came together at the same time.”

U.S. officials acknowledged to the Journal that they wouldn’t allow a plane from Iran Air, loaded with pallets of cash, to take off from a runway in Geneva until the hostages’ plane in Tehran was “wheels up.” State’s Mr. Kirby was finally obliged to admit this publicly.

One may reasonably ask: Why did the Obama Administration persist with such an obviously preposterous cover story? Mr. Obama offered one honest answer amid his original denial. We didn’t pay a ransom, the President said, “precisely because if we did we’d start encouraging Americans to be targeted.”

There’s another reason. Mr. Obama didn’t want to sully what he obviously considers the crowning foreign-policy achievement of his Presidency with an admission that a grubby payoff to Iran’s mullahs is what got it done.

Mr. Obama, meanwhile, spent August denying (i.e., LYING!!!) that a ransom was a ransom. Since the January “leverage” moment, Iran has taken three more Americans as hostage and is now demanding the return of $2 billion in funds that U.S. courts have ordered held for the victims of Iranian-sponsored terrorism. The eyes of the world can simply stare.

Not to mention the pens of the MSM fail to report.

And in the Environmental Moment, another ostensibly true story which turns out to be a fairy tale:

This one lake is so deadly it kills almost everything except flamingos

lake-natron12

Lake Natron in Tanzania is a literal hell on earth for most animals. The pH and temperature levels in the water are so high it can burn off the skin and eyes of animals that aren’t adapted to it. But for one species, it is one of the last places on earth they can survive. Over 1.5 Million of lesser flamingos flock to Lake Natron each year to breed. The lake is one place makes up over half of the world’s lesser flamingos.

They can withstand the deadly waters because of their leathery skin, but their home is in danger.

The Tanzanian government is threatening to start mining the lake for soda ash. Despite the threats, a delicate balance between life and death has been reached between the lake and their pink inhabitants.

This story is wrong on so many levels we hardly know where to start.  First, not a single species of flamingos is even threatened, let alone endangered, at least according to Flamingos World.  Second, who is the Tanzanian government “threatening” with its plan to mine soda ash?  Third, though Lake Natron may well be “one” of the last places on earth lesser flamingos can survive, how many others are there; two, three…thirty-four hundred?!?  Lastly, forgive us for doubting the accuracy of the article’s claims, but is it to much to ask AOL to detail at least one or two ways in which the mining of soda ash out of the lake will even minimally impact the lesser flamingo population?!?

This isn’t reporting; it’s all-too typical Environazi scaremongering.  But it’s what passes for reasoned debate in Progressive circles.

Finally, we’ll call it a wrap with two titillating tales torn from the pages of The Crime Blotter, the first of which you won’t catch on the news or being protested by the charlatans of Black Lives Matter

Good Samaritan killed after helping 2 South Carolina teens pull SUV from ditch

1471431829176

“Two South Carolina teens were arrested on murder charges Monday after allegedly killing a Good Samaritan who helped the pair pull their vehicle out of a ditch. WCSC-TV reported that Deon Frasier, 17, and Michael Dupree-Taylor, 19, were denied bond Tuesday after they were arrested at a North Charleston apartment.

According to a North Charleston police affidavit, the two teens asked the victim, identified as 45-year-old Chadwick Garrett, to help them pull their 2016 Dodge Durango out of a ditch. Witnesses told authorities that Garrett agreed to help the pair with their SUV for $20.

1471432589488

Authorities said that after Garrett helped the pair pull the vehicle out of the ditch, Garrett asked Frasier and Dupree-Taylor about the $20 when Frasier took out a gun and allegedly fired several rounds and struck Garrett in the chest…”

Minor point: we don’t remember the Good Samaritan of Scripture charging for his services.

And just to demonstrate such homicidal insanity isn’t restricted to any particular ethnic group:

Florida teen may have taken ‘five dollar insanity’ drug before ‘stabbing to death random couple and feasting on dead man’s FACE

374B326D00000578-0-image-m-18_1471365094311

A 19-year-old frat boy who was found at the scene of a double homicide on Monday biting flesh off a victim’s face could have been on the synthetic drug flakka, authorities believe. Austin Kelly Harrouff, whose condition is deteriorating in the hospital, was arrested Monday night after allegedly stabbing married couple Michelle Stevens and John Stevens III to death inside their Jupiter, Florida, home.

Sheriff William Snyder said a toxicology report would not be immediately available, but added: ‘It absolutely could be a flakka case. We don’t know…I would not be surprised though if we end up finding that is the case.’

374B21B400000578-0-image-a-19_1471365099161

The synthetic drug swept Florida in 2013, gaining the nickname ‘five dollar insanity’ because it causes hallucinations, psychosis and ‘superhuman’ strength. In a released 911 call, the couple’s neighbor, Jeff Fisher, 47, can be heard breathing heavily after he heard screams and rushed to the Stevenses’ house on Southeast Kokomo Lane to help, only to be stabbed several times himself.

Harrouff was out to dinner with his parents at the sports bar Duffy’s West when he became agitated and left during the meal, prompting his parents to call the police over his bizarre behaviorHarrouff walked four miles north towards his father’s house, but inexplicably turned onto the 19000 block of Southeast Kokomo Lane where the Stevenses were sitting in their garage.

The sheriff said that a preliminary investigation has determined that Harrouff did not know the victims, and that the stabbings, which he described as ‘inexplicable’ and ‘perplexing,’ were random acts of violence…”

Thanks, Sheriff…
