It’s Monday, October 31st, Halloween 2016…and the fanciful, unreasoned fear of ghosts, goblins, ghouls and graveyards has nothing on the terrifying reality staring America in the face:

Now, here’s The Gouge!

First up, what you already know, as the WSJ opines on what Hillary’s pursuit of personal profit has wrought:

A Fine FBI-Clinton Mess

Comey reopens the email probe 11 days before the election.

watch-clinton-cash-documentary-_full-movie

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey revealed Friday that the FBI has reopened its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server and her handling of classified material, merely 11 days before Election Day. Mr. Comey cited new evidence, but the disclosure raises troubling new questions about the Democratic candidate and FBI.

In a letter to Congress, Mr. Comey wrote that in connection “with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation.” The FBI “cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant,” but presumably the new emails are significant enough for Mr. Comey to conclude he had no choice but to take the extraordinary step of returning to the Clinton file so close to Nov. 8.

Liberals decided in real time Friday that Mr. Comey is now a partisan attempting to influence the election, but the same liberals had a ball after his July media appearance when he created a new legal standard of “extremely careless” instead of “grossly negligent” to exonerate Mrs. Clinton. Then the FBI chief was the reincarnation of Eliot Ness. At the third debate, Mrs. Clinton cited Mr. Comey’s probity: “The FBI conducted a yearlong investigation into my emails. They concluded there was no case.” Liberals can’t have it both ways.

The reality is that Mr. Comey’s Clinton probe has been a kid-glove exercise all along. Only days before he prematurely ended the investigation and proclaimed that “no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case”—a decision for the Justice Department, not the FBI— Bill Clinton met with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on an Phoenix airport tarmac.

Clinton Cash

When the FBI later released its investigation summary and interview notes on the Friday before Labor Day weekend, they showed Mrs. Clinton telling agents that she “could not recall” or “did not remember specificallykey details and events 27 times. The interview wasn’t taped, and Mrs. Clinton wasn’t put under oath, though it is a crime to lie to the FBI.

Recent revelations include the immunity deals extended to Clinton aides Cheryl Millsand Heather Samuelson to get them to surrender their laptops. The FBI could have sought a subpoena or search warrant to do as much, but Justice didn’t empanel a grand jury. Ms. Mills and Ms. Samuelson were allowed to serve as lawyers for Mrs. Clinton at her FBI interview, despite being material witnesses. Their deals specified that the laptops would be destroyed, meaning they can’t now be re-searched and cross-checked against Mr. Comey’s new information.

This week we learned that Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe steered more than $675,000 to the political campaign of the wife of FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, who oversaw the Clinton investigation in the FBI’s Washington D.C. field office. Mr. McAuliffe is a longtime Clinton friend who is under FBI investigation himself over campaign finances.

News reports suggested late Friday that the “unrelated case” is an inquiry into disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner, whose wife is Hillary aide Huma Abedin. Perhaps the FBI discovered emails indicating contradictions with what the G-men were previously told. But whatever Mr. Comey has uncovered, he has an obligation to make it public before the election.

Mr. Comey has now created an October surprise without anyoneoutside of the J. Edgar Hoover building or Clinton campaignknowing what the surprise is, and the new information is potentially relevant to how Mrs. Clinton would govern as President. The courtesies Mr. Comey has extended Mrs. Clinton would never have been afforded to a private citizen, and this has undermined public trust in his judgment and independence.

Mrs. Clinton could be entering the White House amid an ongoing ethics investigation, which may be a historical first. If Republicans hold Congress, investigations of the FBI investigation are a near-certainty, with agents sworn to tell the truth. Did Mr. Comey reopen the case because of internal dissent within the FBI about the probe and his apparent political favoritism? Or did he worry that a congressional probe might uncover new evidence if he didn’t give the FBI a do-over?

Mrs. Clinton has herself to blame for this fiasco. Nobody forced her to use a private server, ignore warnings about classified material, and then stonewall when her conduct was exposed to voters. Even her advisers were privately shocked, or claimed to be. In a hacked John Podesta email from July 2015, Neera Tanden of the Center for American Progress vents: “Do we actually know who told Hillary she could use a private email? And has that person been drawn and quartered? Like [the] whole thing is [expletive] insane.”

It may be insane, but it’s also vintage Hillary Clintonher preoccupation with secrecy, her recklessness, her lifelong conviction that she’ll never be held accountable. The poor American electorate, already beleaguered enough by the election choice, must now factor James Comey’s reprise into its decision.

Only if they don’t already recognize the faces of evil…

In a related item, writing at the Chicago Tribune, John Kass offers one of the clearest, most concise condemnations of the Clintons we’ve read to date, as he concludes the…

Democrats should ask Clinton to step aside

11230975_811477342272121_2057149741605963718_n

“…The best thing would be for Democrats to ask her to step down now. It would be the most responsible thing to do, if the nation were more important to them than power. And the American news media — fairly or not firmly identified in the public mind as Mrs. Clinton’s political action committee — should begin demanding it.

But what will Hillary do?

She’ll stick and ride this out and turn her anger toward Comey. For Hillary and Bill Clinton, it has always been about power, about the Clinton Restoration and protecting fortunes already made by selling nothing but political influence.

horn-dogs-05

She’ll remind the nation that she’s a woman and that Donald Trump said terrible things about women. (As if crude language and boorish behavior even begins to come close to what this hideous harpy’s done!) If there is another notorious Trump video to be leaked, the Clintons should probably leak it now. Then her allies in media can talk about misogyny and sexual politics and the headlines can be all about Trump as the boor he is and Hillary as champion of female victims, which she has never been.

Remember that Bill Clinton leveraged the “Year of the Woman.” Then he preyed on women in the White House and Hillary protected him. But the political left — most particularly the women of the left — defended him because he promised to protect abortion rights and their other agendas.

e6ec741d26fb70086890a5cea4a9449a

If you take a step back from tribal politics, you’ll see that Mrs. Clinton has clearly disqualified herself from ever coming near classified information again. If she were a young person straight out of grad school hoping to land a government job, Hillary Clinton would be laughed out of Washington with her record. She’d never be hired.

As secretary of state she kept classified documents on the home-brew server in her basement, which is against the law. She lied about it to the American people. She couldn’t remember details dozens of times when questioned by the FBI. Her aides destroyed evidence by BleachBit and hammers. Her husband, Bill, met secretly on an airport tarmac with Attorney General Loretta Lynch for about a half-hour, and all they said they talked about was golf and the grandkids.

And there was no prosecution of Hillary. That isn’t merely wrong and unethical. It is poisonous.

And during this presidential campaign, Americans were confronted with a two-tiered system of federal justice: one for standards for the Clintons and one for the peasants.

6a00d83451d3b569e201b7c86509b4970b

I’ve always figured (correctly!) that, as secretary of state, Clinton kept her home-brew email server — from which foreign intelligence agencies could hack top secret information — so she could shield the influence peddling that helped make the Clintons several fortunes.

The Clintons weren’t skilled merchants. They weren’t traders or manufacturers. The Clintons never produced anything tangible. They had no science, patents or devices to make them millions upon millions of dollars.

All they had to sell, really, was influence. And they used our federal government to leverage it.

If a presidential election is as much about the people as it is about the candidates, then we’ll learn plenty about ourselves in the coming days, won’t we?

Not about “ourselves” in the strictest sense, but rather those segments of the country, including but not limited to Feminazis, Environazis and Welfare Queens…

…who place no value whatsover on the rule of law, but rather, like the Clintons and Obamas, treasure personal politics, power and/or profit over the betterment of the country in general.

Case in point, courtesy of NRO‘s Morning Jolt, Jim Geraghty highlights the educated idiocy of Colin Powell…not to mention the similar simpleness of the diehard NeverTrumpers:

Yet another stellar product of Hudson High!

“…Speaking of endorsements, Colin Powell is endorsing Hillary Clintonnot that surprising, as he endorsed Barack Obama over John McCain in 2008 and over Mitt Romney in 2012.

We know from leaked e-mails that Powell’s not such a big fan of her, either:

I would rather not have to vote for her, although she is a friend I respect,” the former secretary of state wrote Democratic donor Jeffrey Leeds on July 26, 2014.

A 70-year person with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still d–kng bimbos at home (according to the NYP),” reads the explosive e-mail obtained by the Web site DCLeaks. Hillary is actually 68.

Everything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris. I told you about the gig I lost at a University because she so overcharged them they came under heat and couldn’t [pay] any fees for awhile. I should send her a bill,” Powell griped.

“Wanted to get away with it.” “Her instincts can be terrible.” “Unbridled ambition.” “Greedy.” “Everything she touches she screws up with hubris.” All of these assessments from people who are on her side would make for one heck of a devastating ad.

Only if The Donald’s willing to spend a fraction of his fabled fortune on such an ad!  More importantly, what does the puerile pettiness of Powell’s prose tell us about HIM, not only as a person but as a patriot?!?  That is, other than he’s a total…

Hillary’s Climate of Hate

She’s an evil, crooked, self-centered, corrupt heap of incompetence.

hillary-costume-nrd600

“Who are the haters? Who are the autocrats? Who are the serial abusers of power?

Only one presidential candidate has wielded the sledgehammer of government against personal enemies. Only one presidential candidate has exploited a spouse’s public office to exact revenge on political dissenters. Only one presidential candidate has a quarter-century track record of taxpayer-subsidized demagoguery and class warfare.

And, as the most recent undercover investigation by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas revealed this past week, only one presidential candidate has been directly linked to a scheme to foment chaos and violence at her opponent’s rallies.

Ignore the kindly grandma with the “Stronger Together” backdrop warbling about her happy family and singing the praises of diversity and inclusion. Look beyond the carefully manufactured semblance of bipartisanship and moderation. Remember history — or rather, “herstory.”

Hillary Clinton isn’t just a nasty woman. She’s a ruthless hatemonger devoted wholly to two corrupt pursuits while on the federal teat: tearing down and cashing in…”

Meanwhile, since we should always understand what the enemy’s thinking, consider this spin on Comey’s latest play from The New Yorker:

James Comey Broke With Loretta Lynch and Justice Department Tradition

cq0pacgwaaer9m7

“…Comey’s decision is a striking break with the policies of the Department of Justice, according to current and former federal legal officials. Comey, who is a Republican appointee of President Obama, has a reputation for integrity and independence, but his latest action is stirring an extraordinary level of concern among legal authorities, who see it as potentially affecting the outcome of the Presidential and congressional elections.

“You don’t do this,” one former senior Justice Department official exclaimed. “It’s aberrational. It violates decades of practice.” (Other than, of course, what Comey claimed in July!)  The reason, according to the former official, who asked not to be identified because of ongoing cases involving the department, “is because it impugns the integrity and reputation of the candidate, even though there’s no finding by a court, or in this instance even an indictment.”…”

As the WSJ reported:

“Before the letter was sent, the FBI told senior Justice Department officials what Mr. Comey planned to do, and those officials warned that doing so would contradict the department’s rules against taking steps that could influenceor be seen as trying to influencean election, these people said.”

Unlike what Comey uttered in July.

Sorry, but perhaps the “senior Justice Department officials” could enlighten us as to the last time a candidate for President was under investigation by the very government they sought to lead?!?

It’s like The New Yorker, its “former federal legal officials” and the Journal‘s “senior Justice Department officials” are utterly ignorant…in sooo many ways!…of James Comey’s unprecedented, aberrational ruling in July…or the immunity granted so many of the actors…or the agreement to destroy evidence after the fact…or that Comey interviewed Hillary personally…or that Loretta Lynch met with Clinton at LAX…or that Cheryl Mills was allowed to act as Hillary’s attorney when she should have been an indicted co-conspirator!  You know…silly things like those!

Since we’re on the subject of incredibly partisan pronouncements from Progressives masquerading as Patriots, there’s this from PJ Media:

The Campaign Battle of Mosul: Gen. Allen Says Trump Undercutting Operation

ltlca9c827613830d259

J.R. Allen at the Battle of Yorktown!

“The Clinton campaign today deployed the former commander of the International Security Assistance Force and U.S. forces in Afghanistan to rip Donald Trump’s assessment of the Mosul campaign as ignorant of military strategy. The former dean of the Army War College, retired Army Col. Jeff McCausland, told the New York Times that the Republican nominee’s comments show “Trump doesn’t know a damn thing about military strategy.”

…McCausland fired back in a statement: “I can’t wait to sit down with Mr. Trump and hear what he has to teach me about military strategy. I’m happy to compare my record of over 45 years working in national security affairs with his any time.”

The colonel, who commanded a battalion during the Gulf War, added that “it’s impossible to mask the fact that you’re hiding thousands of troops in the desert outside Mosul as you prepare for the attack and secure bases in the area for logistical support.”

“To use historical comparisons that Mr. Trump likes so much, by the spring of 1944, the Germans knew we were going to come back and liberate France. Exactly when and where were questions of operations tactics. The Germans fortified the beaches and Rommel may have been operationally surprised, but he was hardly strategically surprised,” McCausland continued. “Mr. Trump has repeatedly stated his admiration for General George Patton, but Patton’s job prior to the Normandy invasion was to lead a ‘shadow army’ in Great Britain to deceive the Germans as to when the attack would occur. This was to assist operations and tactics. In the Far East, the Japanese knew by spring 1945 that we were going to attack Okinawa and Iwo Jima. They fortified the islands in many ways, like ISIS has done in Mosul. But they knew we were coming.”

On a conference call arranged by the Clinton campaign today, retired Marine Corps Gen. John Allen, who served as deputy commander of U.S. Central Command before leading coalition forces in Afghanistan, told reporters it “brings me no joy to have to hold this call” but he “felt compelled” by Trump’s Mosul comments. “I’ve agonized over a lot of the rhetoric I’ve heard of late.”

Allen charged that Trump’s comments undercut the operation to liberate Mosul from the “oppressive boot” of ISIS and violate the “unwritten standard” of those in politics “to always support our troops in combat.”

“However he feels personally about this operation, he should be encouraging efforts publicly rather than disparaging them,” Allen added, stressing that Mosul is a “hard fight” against a “suicidal enemy” using human shields in a dense urban environment of a million people.

Trump’s idea of “some kind of sneak attack,” the general said, reveals the candidate’s “lack of understanding about military operations.” Allen noted that as far as deception operations “we’ve been doing this all along at the tactical level … his comments really have no credibility and they shake the confidence of our forces and confidence of our allies.” As of this writing, the Iraqi army reported being fewer than 3 miles from entering the eastern neighborhoods of Mosul(Great tactics, J.R.!!!)

Also on the call was Khizr Khan, the father of slain Army Capt. Humayun Khan, who recently became publicly involved again in the Clinton campaign. The Khans had chosen not to do more politicking after their well-known appearance at the Democratic National Convention in JulyKhan told reporters he was “saddened” to hear Trump’s “remarks about our military leadership — their service and their leadership has made this country great.”…”

Where were these two complicit incompetents as Obama decimated our Armed Forces, or when Hillary demonstrated her martial prowess during the Benghazi abandonment?  Nowhere to be heard or found!

And does J.R. truly believe Hillary and Barack to be military experts when compared to Trump?!?

By the way, though the Germans indeed surely knew we’d eventually invade France, we sure as Hell didn’t telegraph the precise time and location of the action.  And if it’s truly impossible to hide troops prior to an invasion/attack as Colonel McCauland claims, how did the Germans surprise the Russians in June of 1941 on a 900-mile front?  Can he explain how the Germans surprised the Allies in the Ardennes in December 1944?  Let alone how the Germans caught the French waving their white flags in May of 1940?  Or what enabled Stormin’ Norman to surprise Saddam in the First Gulf War…Colin Powell’s doubts notwithstanding?!?

All of which is why we deem the good Colonel’s opinions…along with those of General Allen…complete crocks of self-serving sh*t!!!

For the record, this is the type of recurring insanity these two misguided myrmidons are supporting with their backing of Hillary:

Yet Another School Decides ‘The Vagina Monologues’ Is Offensive to Women Without Vaginas

How can it be “antiquated” when people still do have vaginas?

vagina-monologues-angry-1

“American University has become the latest school to do away with its annual performance of “The Vagina Monologues” on the grounds that it’s not inclusive to women without vaginas. According to an e-mail obtained by Campus Reform, the the AU Women’s Initiative decided to do away with its annual performance of the play on the grounds that it represents an “antiquated way of viewing gender.”

The VM represents a binary representation of gender, implying that in order to be a woman you must have a vagina, which is an antiquated way of viewing gender,” Kendall Baron, a member of the AU Women’s Initiative, stated in the email. People are more than their sexual organs and have varied and personal relationships with their bodies.”…”
