We believe the Founding Fathers meant what they wrote in the Constitution, and that:

(1). Equality of creation no more guarantees equivalence of outcome than the Right to pursue Happiness ensures its ultimate acquisition. “I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it.” Thomas Jefferson*

(2). The modern welfare state is the greatest evil ever to befall America, enslaving the body, stripping away personal dignity and stealing the soul. “I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.” Thomas Jefferson

(3). Ronald Reagan was right when he observed, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.'”

(4). Truth to a Liberal is like kryptonite to Superman.

(5). Webster’s is correct when it defines lying not only as making “an untrue statement with intent to deceive”, but creating “a false or misleading impression”. (6). The modern Democratic Party operates under the principle first enunciated by General Nagel of the economics branch of OKW: “What matters is not what is true or false, but exclusively what is believed.”

(7). “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.” Daniel Patrick Moynihan, paraphrasing Bernard Baruch

And finally, to quote Everett Hale, we believe, “I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. What I can do, I should do and, with the help of God, I will do!” The Daily Gouge represents what we can do.

We deal in facts, not feelings, and will never hesitate to call a spade a spade when pointing out lies, misstatements and hypocrisy. If that makes us, in the eyes of some, an ignorant, racist, homophobic, fascist, so be it; we aren’t. Besides, when it comes to anything emanating from the Left, we take the view espoused by Fletcher in The Outlaw Josey Wales: “Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining!”

P.S. And yes, we in fact flew the greatest fighter aircraft ever made.
