How Vaccine Fanatics Fueled Vaccine Skepticism<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n

“The development<\/em><\/span> of\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0vaccines is one of the few successes<\/em><\/span> during a pandemic that saw major failures<\/em><\/span> in public health strategy and treatments. While the vaccines can\u2019t prevent transmission, they have reduced mortality.<\/span> Before the pandemic, there was almost universal trust<\/em><\/span> in vaccines, and vaccine skeptics<\/em><\/span> were a small but vocal minority<\/em><\/span>. With a life-saving vaccine during a major pandemic, one would expect more<\/em><\/span> vaccine enthusiasm, but instead it collapsed<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> What happened<\/em><\/span>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Ironically, the problem is vaccine fanaticism<\/em><\/span>, which has caused vaccine skepticism<\/em><\/span>, with problematic consequences extending beyond COVID-19<\/em><\/span> to trust in other vaccines. Vaccine fanaticism comes in many forms.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In their drive to increase uptake, the vaccine fanatics denied basic scientific facts<\/em><\/span>, such as immunity provided by COVID-recovery<\/em><\/span>. This, despite numerous careful studies that showed that COVID-recovery provides better protection versus both infection and severe disease than the vaccine.<\/span> Nevertheless, vaccine fanatics insisted that natural immunity shouldn\u2019t \u201ccount<\/em><\/span>\u201d in the vaccine mandate schemes. By denying science<\/em><\/span>, the vaccine fanatics created further public skepticism<\/em><\/span> about the vaccines.<\/span> \u201cIf they are lying about natural immunity, maybe they are lying about vaccines efficacy,\u201d many may have reasoned.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Despite lack of evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines could prevent transmission and mounting evidence in spring and summer 2021 that they couldn\u2019t stop disease spread, Dr. Anthony Fauci and others convinced themselves that COVID-19 could be conquered if only 70 percent, 80 percent, 90 percent, or more of the population was vaccinated.<\/span> And when the vaccines didn\u2019t live up to scientifically unproven promises<\/em><\/span>, people\u2019s trust<\/em><\/span> in those who over-promised naturally collapsed<\/em><\/span>. In its pursuit of the impossible goal of COVID suppression by vaccines alone<\/em><\/span>, public health vaccine fanatics induced many people to become skeptical of the COVID-19 vaccine\u2019s benefits.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Public authorities espoused psychological manipulation to induce vaccine uptake. For example, in its\u00a0April 2021 guidance<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0on mask-wearing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gave permission to the vaccinated only to doff the mask.<\/span> Their reasoning was based on a mistaken belief that vaccinated individuals can\u2019t spread the disease<\/em><\/span>, but also as an inducement to get vaccinated since mask-wearing is unpleasant. Encouraged by public health officials, Krispy Kreme offered free donuts to the vaccinated.<\/span> Some people may have wondered: \u201cIf they understood<\/em> public health<\/em><\/span>, they wouldn\u2019t try to fatten people<\/em><\/span> with donuts. Maybe vaccines are also bad for my health?\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…In their bid to boost COVID-19 vaccine uptake, the vaccine fanatics have created a widespread movement of vaccine skepticism that didn\u2019t previously exist<\/em><\/span>. The consequences are dire not just<\/em><\/span> for the COVID-19 vaccine but also<\/em><\/span> for vital childhood vaccines<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> It may be too late for COVID-19, but regaining public trust is crucial<\/em><\/span> to ensure the public\u2019s confidence in other vaccines that are critical to the well-being of children everywhere<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In public health, it isn\u2019t enough<\/em><\/span> to be trusted by only half<\/em><\/span> the population.<\/span> Since widespread trust is essential, the only solution<\/em><\/span> is for public health to eschew coercion and embrace its traditional principles<\/em><\/span>. Public health should never again manipulate or deny authentic scientific results to manipulate the public\u2019s behavior<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> It should dismiss practitioners<\/em><\/span> who use public health as a weapon in a cultural or political war.\u00a0(Which means Dr. Faux Chi should be fired<\/span> and his pension forfeited<\/span>.<\/em>)<\/span>\u00a0It should reject slander, censoring, and\u00a0ad hominem\u00a0attacks<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Trust in vaccines can only be regained through honest, open dialogue, science-based policies, public education, long-term thinking, a strengthened vaccine safety monitoring system, and voluntary<\/em><\/span> vaccinations. That is, it should return to the traditional principles<\/em><\/span> of public health.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

Biden says it over and over again. Here\u2019s a sampling over the past year:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve turned the tide on a once-in-a-generation economic crisis. And families are beginning to be able to breathe just a little bit easier<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLook, when we came to office, we knew we were facing a once-in-a-century pandemic and a once-in-a-generation economic crisis<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was sworn in as president, the nation was struggling to pull out of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In his State of the Union, Biden claimed that his \u201cAmerican Rescue Plan\u201d was one of the \u201cfew pieces of legislation\u201d to have \u201cdone more at a critical moment in our history to lift us out of a crisis.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This<\/em><\/span> is a lie<\/span><\/em>. A big fat lie<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> A big fat Biden-sized lie<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If President Donald Trump were to repeatedly claim a phony economic crisis, the media would preface each statement with \u201cTrump\u2019s false claim that \u2026\u201d \u2013 if they were feeling generous.<\/span> Instead, they give Biden a pass.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So, even though we have said it in this space\u00a0many<\/a>\u00a0times<\/a>\u00a0before<\/a><\/em><\/span>, it\u2019s time to spell it out as plainly as we can<\/em><\/span>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The country was not<\/span> in an economic crisis, or a crisis of any kind<\/span>, when Biden took office.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u00a0is<\/em><\/span>\u00a0a crisis now<\/span><\/em>, however, thanks to what Biden has done<\/span><\/em> since taking office.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Here<\/span><\/em> are the facts<\/em><\/span><\/strong>…”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s the juice: If every<\/em><\/span> big fat Biden lie* was killed, the man would never have been on record uttering a word<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

* Including, but far from limited to, Corn Pop<\/em><\/span><\/a>, his scholastic and athletic records<\/em><\/span><\/a>\u00a0(Note the ad hominem, personal attacks even back then<\/em>)<\/span>, the AMTRAK conductor<\/em><\/span><\/a>, the circumstances of his first wife’s death<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, Hunter’s intelligence<\/em><\/span><\/a>, denial of his own actions<\/em><\/span><\/a>, his South African experience<\/em><\/span>, etc., etc., etc., ad nauseam, ad infinitum.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next up, given the illegitimate occupant of the Offal Office, Brendan Michael Dougherty poses a very legitimate question:<\/strong><\/p>\n

But the rest<\/em><\/span> \u2014 well, I\u2019m worried<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>…”<\/p>\n

And well<\/em><\/span> he should be<\/em><\/span>, given who’s at the helm of our Ship of State as depicted in the meme above.\u00a0 Think about it: NEVER the sharpest took in the shed, Biden’s an imperfect implement further dulled by a lengthy passage of time and deepening dementia.\u00a0 And now he’s in a confrontation, largely of his own making, with no more chance of success than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest.\u00a0 What could go wrong?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The best thing this craven coward could have done to forestall the unprovoked invasion he invited<\/em><\/span><\/a> would have been to make an extended state visit to Kyiv, challenging Mad Vlad to invade while his worthless hide was in residence.\u00a0 If he’d had Kommielaa pose the same impediment to the ChiCom’s designs on Taiwan by making an extended trip to Taipei, America and the world would have been better-served on both fronts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moving on, here’s another quintet of items specially selected for inquiring Conservative minds:<\/strong><\/p>\n

(2). Richard Goldberg informs us\u00a0<\/strong>Biden\u2019s coming Iran deal will be even worse than Obama\u2019s<\/em><\/span><\/a>, something, prior to 46* illegitimately taking office, we frankly wouldn’t have believed possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(3).<\/strong>\u00a0Consider the fact while Biden’s Justice Department is investigating American chicken companies’ sharing information on labor<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, there’s been nary an iota of interest in investigating Biden sharing sensitive intelligence with the ChiComs<\/em><\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(4). Speaking of powerful people who unquestionably shared sensitive intelligence with the ChiComs, as Best of the Web<\/em> relates, it’s Springtime for the Clintons<\/em><\/span><\/a>, as the former First Grifters have obviously begun to run low on cash…not to mention underage girls.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a welcome triumph of logic over lunacy,\u00a0Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed legislation Thursday that will immediately\u00a0restrict participation in women\u2019s\u00a0college and K-12 sports to biological female<\/span><\/em>s<\/span><\/span><\/a>. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: Forget the fact genuine transgenderism is a psychological disorder, allowing biological males to compete against biological females in any sport outside of darts and curling is…<\/strong><\/p>\n
