Climate change isn&#8217;t settled science.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>2. The WuFlu was released, either deliberately or accidentally, by China.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KnX_iWAG6W4?start=25&amp;end=31&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>3. Dr. Faux Chi and all his pompous pronouncements were even less useful, as the country would have done better never to have locked down and masked up at all.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>5. There were actually legitimate concerns about the various vaccines, and ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine actually eased certain people&#8217;s suffering.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>6. Hunter&#8217;s laptop was NOT a Russian plant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>7. Hate speech will no longer defined as facts delicate little snowflakes don&#8217;t want to face.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>8. Just as Putin is solely responsible for the suffering he&#8217;s inflicted upon Ukraine, Biden is solely responsible for the suffering he&#8217;s inflicted on America.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>9. Critical Race Theory is itself racist.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>10. text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/05\/21\/999196021\/biden-wants-a-stable-predictable-relationship-with-russia-thats-complicated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"standard-link\">President Biden declared that he wanted a \u201cstable, predictable\u201d relationship with Russia<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">As recently as October, Putin used similar terms to characterize the U.S.\u2013Russia relationship: \u201c<a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/nobel-prizes-business-russia-vladimir-putin-media-4d233a2d6a2ddabf876695b195472b55\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" testid=\"standard-link\" class=\"broken_link\">Putin said Russia\u2019s relations with the Biden administration have been \u2018quite constructive\u2019 and he personally has developed \u2018working, stable relations\u2019 with President Joe Biden<\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>And that, in the eyes of many foreign-policy thinkers, was reasonable; Putin\u2019s Russia was difficult but rational, a former great power that still commanded considerable influence around the globe, and a potential ally to the U.S. on arms control, fighting terrorism, and other issues. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Last July, John Kerry, Biden\u2019s special envoy on climate change, spoke with Putin for an hour and\u00a0<a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/07\/15\/1016526228\/the-u-s-climate-envoy-went-to-moscow-and-talked-about-more-than-climate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"standard-link\">called the Russian leader<\/a>\u00a0\u201cvery forthcoming and thoughtful\u201d about ways to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.<\/span> \u201cWe can continue to feel the kind of cooperative possibility that emerged in the course of our conversation,\u201d Kerry said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Today<\/em><\/span>, that perspective sounds <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>unspeakably na\u00efve<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> That vision of Russia as ornery but rational was always a polished public-relations illusion, meant to lull conflict-averse Western leaders into a false sense of security.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/over-500000-ukrainians-deported-to-russian-filtration-camps-zelensky-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"dynamic-link\">the forced deportation of at least 500,000 Ukrainian citizens from Russian-occupied territory in Ukraine to Russia<\/a><\/em><\/span>,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/ukrainian-official-details-three-rape-cases-one-14-year-old-victim-pregnant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"dynamic-link\">the rape and impregnation of Ukrainian women as young as eleven<\/a><\/em><\/span>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>so many other utterly indefensible horrors<\/em><\/span>, only the most eagerly self-deluded have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>any<\/em><\/span> illusions about the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">true<\/span><\/em> Russia anymore.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The Russian army is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">brutal, dumb, sadistic, disorganized, poorly trained<\/span><\/em>, and <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">often incompetent<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Its troops are the nastiest of bullies against the defenseless, but wilt in the face of organized resistance. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>As do their domestic Progressive counterparts!<\/em>)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>In the third month of the invasion of Ukraine, Russia looks both less scary and scarier than before. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Russia is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">less scary<\/span><\/em> because, clearly, its military forces are nowhere near as fearsome and capable as their reputation suggested<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><strong>But Russia is\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">more\u00a0frightening<\/span><\/em> because Putin has marched his regime and country into a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>desperate situation<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">He thought this invasion would end with him guaranteed to be remembered by Russians as the second \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2016\/nov\/04\/vladimir-great-statue-unveiled-putin-moscow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"standard-link\">Vladimir the Great<\/a><\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> Now, he\u2019s on course to be remembered as the most spectacularly reckless and self-destructive European leader since Adolf Hitler. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Russia will be economically ruined, diplomatically isolated, globally denounced, and militarily neutered . . . all for a few stretches of bombed-out land on the other side of the pre-war border.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>worse<\/em><\/span> the situation gets, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>less<\/em><\/span> Vladimir Putin has to lose. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">The stability of his regime <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and perhaps even his life<\/em><\/span> are on the line.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Russian state media are now characterizing the invasion of Ukraine as a war with NATO \u2014 and considering all the aid that NATO countries are sending,\u00a0all the intelligence the U.S. is sharing,\u00a0and how the U.S. is helping Ukraine shoot down Russian planes, it\u2019s <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span><\/em> the most unreasonable assessment in the world.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">God only knows whether the ranting and raving buffoons on Russian state television should be interpreted as just venting rage and frustration, or whether it is actually a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>deliberate choice<\/em><\/span> to prepare the Russian public for coming military moves.<\/span> But the rhetoric is getting bizarre and disturbing, talking about the need for a special military operation to \u201cdemilitarize NATO,\u201d that\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JuliaDavisNews\/status\/1519417943955808257\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"standard-link\">NATO is \u201ca collective Hitler<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>,\u201d\u00a0that a nuclear strike <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">seems probable<\/span><\/em>, and that \u201c<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/russian-state-tv-vladimir-putin-may-start-a-nuclear-war-but-we-are-ready-to-die?ref=home&amp;via=twitter_page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"standard-link\">we\u2019re all going to die someday<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">If Russian state media are reflecting the current thinking of Putin and Russian leadership . . . then they are wrestling with the question of whether it is better to live with the abject humiliation in Ukraine or to salvage some sense of \u201chonor\u201d by using nuclear weapons.<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/biden-options-forgiving-student-loan-debt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"standard-link\">Joe Biden is on the verge of crossing out that part of the social contract with a red pen and declaring that taxpayers will pay back those debts instead<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0\u2014 or at least a significant chunk of them for his preferred demographics<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><strong>without an income cap, forgiving $10,000 per borrower would most benefit whites under the age of 40 who have graduate degrees and live in high-income, majority-white neighborhoods. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">This is one of the most Democratic-leaning and outspoken progressive demographics in the country.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>This is a wealth transfer from taxpayers to the Democratic Party\u2019s Twitter class. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Then again, judging from the rapidly changing follower numbers in just the past day or so, maybe these people are leaving Twitter now that Elon Musk owns it.)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>If you paid back your student loans in recent years, there is a good chance you were a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">chump<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">You paid money that Uncle Sugar was going to come along and cover if you had just waited.<\/span> You should have spent that money on other things you would have enjoyed and defaulted on your payments, waiting for the federal government to come along and say, \u201cDon\u2019t worry, the taxpayers have this covered.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>If you currently owe a lot on your mortgage, your car payments, your home-improvement loans, or any other loan, and you\u2019re diligently and responsibly making your monthly payments . . . well, you are kind of a sucker, too, because you borrowed money that you had to pay back, instead of taking part in Joe Biden\u2019s free-money program.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>At the beginning of the month, when Biden extended the moratorium on repaying student loans until September, he released a statement declaring that, \u201c<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/04\/06\/statement-by-president-biden-extending-the-pause-on-student-loan-repayment-through-august-31st-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" testid=\"standard-link\" class=\"broken_link\">We are still recovering from the pandemic and the unprecedented economic disruption it caused<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">If loan payments were to resume on schedule in May . . . millions of student loan borrowers would face significant economic hardship.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>What Biden ignores is that the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">moratorium<\/span><\/em> on repaying student loans is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">exacerbating<\/span><\/em> the \u201cunprecedented economic disruption.\u201d <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Inflation represents <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">too much money<\/span><\/em> chasing <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">too few goods<\/span><\/em>; style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u00a074-year-old Robert Levine is under arrest for attempted first-degree murder for shooting 64-year-old Herbert Merritt in the ankle after he found Merritt walking his dog along the 15th hole of Kings Point Golf Club just before 7 p.m. on Sunday.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>Here\u2019s how it went down according to Merritt (as\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wpbf.com\/article\/delray-beach-man-shoots-dog-walker-beats-clubs\/39819014#\">reported by WPBF News<\/a><\/em><\/span>):<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u201c<em>Merritt told deputies he was walking his dog on the grass next to the golf course when Levine rode up in his golf cart and began causing a verbal altercation with him due to having his dog on the golf course. <span style=\"color: #008080;\">He then began shooting at him while Merritt was running away.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em>Levine chased Merritt around a tree while continuing to shoot\u2014Merritt said he shot about five rounds at him, and he felt that Levine was trying to kill him.<\/em>\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>According to witnesses, who called the police as the altercation unfolded, the semi-automatic handgun police found in Levine\u2019s front left pocket a short while later wasn\u2019t enough:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u201c<em>Witnesses told deputies they saw Levine kick Merritt in the head, go back to his cart and get a club and begin beating Merrit with the club while holding the gun in his left hand.
