It’s Wednesday, August 24th, 2022…but before we begin, further evidence the mass insanity of the scamdemic continues unabated in certain quarters, in this case, Yankee Stadium, where Paul O’Neill’s jersey was recently retired<\/em><\/span><\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“O\u2019Neill was not allowed to interact with any of the current Yankees players<\/em><\/span> because he is not vaccinated against COVID-19<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

And all Hal Steinbrenner would offer the legend being honored was a fist bump; Seriously<\/em><\/span>?!?\u00a0 For Heaven’s sake, shake the man’s hand, and then, if you’re worried, use hand sanitizer, morons!\u00a0 Has it truly not dawned on everyone this thing has been one gigantic hoax from Day 1?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two Democrats Set Aside Years of Friendship to Destroy One Another<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h1>\n

“As\u00a0New York<\/em>\u00a0magazine put it, \u201cJerry Nadler and Carolyn Maloney really hate each other<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>.\u201d (Who can blame them?!?<\/em>)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Why?<\/span> Neither one deliberately set out to end the other\u2019s career in Congress; the redistricting plan that put them in the same district was handed down by a court. Both of them chose to run in this new district, instead of an adjacent one, because this is the district where they live.<\/span> It\u2019s not like either one can contend that they\u2019re being cheated out of an illustrious future career in Congress; Maloney is 76<\/span><\/em> years old, Nadler is 75<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Is staying in Congress<\/em><\/span> for a 31st and 32nd year worth<\/em><\/span> trying to destroy the reputation of someone you audaciously still call a friend?<\/span> Apparently, it is<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re a conservative, this is all hilarious.<\/span> Two longtime allies with little to no ideological distinction are turning on each other with ferocity and venom, turning their primary into a demolition derby just out of a desire to stay in Congress for a few more years<\/em><\/span> \u2014 years that are extremely likely to be spent in the minority!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But, if you suspect that politics rots your brain and corrodes your soul, this is rather vivid evidence that the longer you stay in power, the more you prioritize staying there<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> In the end, winning another term is all that matters<\/em><\/span> to these two.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Imagine running against someone you call a friend who\u2019s been working alongside you for 30 years.<\/span> You would think that it would be a relief, not an irritation, to face a potential loss to a friend and longtime ally who sees the world the same way you do. If you can\u2019t win, better that the district be represented by someone you trust, a figure you see as right-minded and who has the right values.<\/span> Instead<\/em><\/span>, Maloney and Nadler are frothing at the mouth, denouncing each other as lazy, entitled, gullible, cowardly, senile, and dishonest.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I have no dog in this fight; I\u2019m not a progressive, I\u2019m not a Democrat, and I don\u2019t live in that congressional district.<\/span> But if I did have a vote, I would select Patel, simply because he\u2019s never claimed to be or pretended to be friends with either of his rivals. Maloney and Nadler have demonstrated in recent months that they\u2019re simply terrible human beings who prioritize winning over the reputation of an alleged friend and colleague<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> It would be fitting if both<\/em><\/span> could be sent back into private life.<\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

Actually, we could think of any number<\/em><\/span> of fates more fitting for these two than private life; But, we’ve the same problem as\u00a0Auntie Em:<\/strong><\/p>\n
