Michael Byrd fatally shot the unarmed Babbitt when she tried to force her way into the Capitol Building.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The police claimed Witthoeft\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11607885\/Jan-6-Capitol-rioter-Ashli-Babbits-mother-arrested-trying-hold-memorial-daughter.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">committed traffic violations<\/a><\/em><\/span>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em>Capitol police said that a group of demonstrators were \u2018illegally blocking traffic\u2019 on Independence Avenue, SW, near First Street, SW.\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u2018The group did not have a permit to demonstrate on Capitol Grounds,\u2019 the said in a statement released Friday afternoon.<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em>Officers said that they established a clear police line to prevent the group from moving further east and asked the group to \u2018get out of the road\u2019 threatening their arrest.\u00a0<\/em><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u2018The sidewalk was open, a woman in the group was given multiple warnings to get out of the road,\u2019 police said.<\/span>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u2018Instead of getting out of the road, the woman refused to leave, turned around with her hands behind her back, and asked to be arrested.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>Witthoeft was arrested for two Capitol Traffic Regulations obey an order, as well as blocking and obstructing roadways<\/em><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the juice: Can anyone recall a single <em>Black Lies Matter<\/em> protestor getting arrested for blocking traffic <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>anywhere<\/em><\/span> in the country, let alone charged with &#8220;demonstrating&#8221; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/investigations\/2021\/01\/08\/ashli-babbitt-shooting-video-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" testid=\"standard-link\" class=\"broken_link\">screaming<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0\u201cF*** the blue!\u201d <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">A white federal officer was pointing his gun in a warning stance.<\/span> One protester yelled, \u201cThere\u2019s a gun! <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">There\u2019s a gun!\u201d<\/span> As they burst through a door inside the courthouse, the officer fired, killing an unarmed black woman. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">He gave no verbal warning before opening fire.\u00a0<\/span>The protester who was killed was not physically imposing. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">She was a military veteran from the other end of the country who had descended upon the protests, ablaze with grievance and convinced that injustice and unequal application of the law were ripping the country apart.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>You\u2019ll have trouble recalling it, of course, because this didn\u2019t happen \u2014 at least, not\u00a0<em>exactly<\/em>\u00a0as I have described it. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The riot wasn\u2019t in a Portland courthouse in the summer of 2020; it was in the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.<\/span> It didn\u2019t aim to stop a criminal trial, but a joint session of Congress. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The protesters-turned-rioters were supporting the right-wing \u201cstop the steal\u201d cause, not the left-wing Black Lives Matter cause.<\/span> The officer who fired his weapon was black, and the protester who was killed was white. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Otherwise, the basic facts are the same.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The rioting protester who was shot to death was Ashli Babbitt, a white, female, 35-year-old, 14-year veteran of the Air Force from California. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The police officer who killed her was Lieutenant Michael Byrd, a black Capitol policeman.<\/span> Babbitt was the only provably direct fatality from the January 6 riots, although there were other protesters who died that day, as well as deaths among the Capitol Police, that\u00a0might reasonably be attributed to the January 6 riot. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Riots are dangerous things, and they swiftly run out of anyone\u2019s control.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>And yet, across much of the media and the political universe, people have reacted in the exact opposite way from how they would have reacted to precisely the same facts if the races, causes, and locations had been reversed<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Case in point, courtesy of an item from\u00a0<em>The Times of Israel<\/em>\u00a0in which\u00a0Tzemach Richter <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.timesofisrael.com\/two-wrongs-never-make-a-wright-the-kim-potter-vs-michael-byrd-cases\/\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>highlights the stark contrasts between the treatment of Kim Potter<\/em><\/span><\/a>, the White female police officer who mistakenly shot a Black male wanted for a weapons violation as he resisted arrest during a traffic stop, and Michael Byrd&#8217;s summary execution of Ashli Babbitt.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a double shot of the juice: Like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/archive\/1995\/09\/07\/weaver-fbi-wrongly-killed-my-wife\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>FBI sniper Lon Horiuchi<\/em><\/span><\/a> before him, Michael Byrd is guilty of murdering his unarmed victim.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Next, <em>FOX<\/em> tries to maintain the fiction the WuFlu is still a threat of pandemic proportions, bleating the&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/lifestyle\/new-covid-omicron-subvariant-xbb-1-5-spreading-wildfire-us-health-experts-reveal-why\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">New COVID omicron subvariant XBB.1.5 is \u2018spreading like wildfire\u2019 in US<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZQ11Ws3tqP0?start=32&amp;end=34&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Dr. Siegel added that so far there\u2019s &#8220;no evidence&#8221; that XBB is more virulent.<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"> &#8220;If it&#8217;s spreading like wildfire and it&#8217;s not killing more people, that means it&#8217;s less virulent,&#8221; he said.<\/span> &#8220;But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we<\/em><\/span> don&#8217;t know the reason for that.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soooo&#8230;if it&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em><\/span> more deadly, WTF <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>CARES<\/em><\/span>?!?\u00a0 This makes it no worse than the annual variety of the flu or the common cold; Did anyone ever shutdown a country&#8217;s economy or enforce ineffective mask edicts over <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>them<\/em><\/span>?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And who&#8217;s &#8220;we&#8221;?\u00a0 Or is Marc Siegel, <em>FOX News<\/em> &#8220;medical contributor&#8221; and NYU medical professor suddenly a virologist or epidemiologist working on the cutting edge of COVID?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Moving on, here&#8217;s a septet of items certain to pique the interest of inquiring Conservative minds:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>(1).\u00a0The owner of the Buffalo pro-life pregnancy center firebombed last June network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/pregnancy-center-hires-private-investigators-to-find-pro-abortion-firebombers\/?utm_source=recirc-desktop&amp;utm_medium=blog-post&amp;utm_campaign=river&amp;utm_content=top-bar-latest&amp;utm_term=third\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>is hiring private investigators to find\u00a0 the terrorists responsible due to concerns the FBI is \u201cslow-walking\u201d its investigation<\/em><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The only tasks the FBI can efficiently execute these days are those they&#8217;re legally prohibited from performing!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>(2). In response to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2023\/jan\/08\/virginia-teacher-shooting-by-six-year-old\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>purportedly deliberate shooting of a teacher by a six-year-old student in Newport News, VA<\/em><\/span><\/a>, many parents are suggesting more metal detectors, mental health counselors and stricter visitor policies could reduce the risk of a recurrence.\u00a0 We suggest finding out how a first grader came to be in possession of a loaded pistol.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>(3). In yet another demonstration actual science has given way political correctness, the once highly regarded <em>Scientific American<\/em>\u00a0published the spurious claim Damar Hamlin&#8217;s collapse highlights how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientificamerican.com\/article\/damar-hamlins-collapse-highlights-the-violence-black-men-experience-in-football\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>the \u201cterrifyingly ordinary\u201d nature of football\u2019s violence disproportionately affects Black men<\/em><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 The family of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chuck_Hughes\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>Chuck Hughes<\/em><\/span><\/a> might disagree, along with those, like our father, who played the game without the benefit of face masks or high-tech helmets and pads, all of whom were White and made a pittance compared to the players of today.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>We found this statement particularly telling:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">&#8220;<strong><em>While <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I am not aware of research that compares the rate of injury between Black and white football players<\/span>, heatstrokes, ACL and labrum tears, ankle sprains, bone breaks, and concussions are just a few of the consequences of how these bodies are used<\/em>.<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Then <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>WTF did you write this article<\/em><\/span>?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Here&#8217;s a triple shot of the juice: Even <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>were<\/em><\/span> the author&#8217;s ridiculous reasoning accurate, which it most demonstrably <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em><\/span>, no one&#8217;s ever forced men to play professional football, either today or&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/mckee6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-106339\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/mckee6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"246\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;in Dad&#8217;s day.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>(4).\u00a0<em>NRO<\/em>&#8216;s Nate Hochman relates what happens when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2023\/01\/how-gender-ideology-conquered-south-dakota\/?bypass_key=M256RHczZDV1ZG9venMvN1QyUlY2QT09OjpiMVF4YTFReGFGSTROR2xRTWxjeVpuaDRhekZ3VVQwOQ%3D%3D&amp;utm_source=Sailthru&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=NR%20Daily%20Monday%20through%20Friday%202023-01-05&amp;utm_term=NRDaily-Smart\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>the Progressive PC camel gets its nose under a Conservative state&#8217;s tent<\/em><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 And make no mistake about it, Kristi Noem was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>instrumental<\/em><\/span> in lifting the edge of South Dakota&#8217;s tent.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>(5).
