sundry skills and experience, &#8220;The guy would have to be 1,500 years old to have done everything he says he has.&#8221;\u00a0 We uncovered conclusive evidence one of his claims was concocted by chance, which cast doubt on every other boast he&#8217;d made.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On the other hand, Joe provides the proof he&#8217;s prevaricating in his own recorded words.\u00a0 Which makes one wonder, does he understand that the internet <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>exists<\/em><\/span>, and that it&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: the 19-year-old\u00a0Florida suspect\u00a0accused of fatally gunning down a beloved local news reporter, a 9-year-old child and a 20-year-old woman in a string of shootings Wednesday has a lengthy criminal past, according to law enforcement, but questions remain about the motive and what connection, if any, he had to the victims.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-align: right;\">&#8230;<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;At 19, he has a lengthy criminal history to include gun charges, aggravated battery and assault with a deadly weapon, burglary and grand theft charges,&#8221; Orange County Sheriff John Mina said at a Wednesday afternoon press conference.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">He <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>did not elaborate further<\/em><\/span> on Moses\u2019 criminal past.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"text-align: right; color: #0000ff;\">FOX 35 Orlando<\/span><span style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0reported that online court records show Moses was arrested in November 2021 on charges of possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.<\/span> But the charges were dropped the next month. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It\u2019s unclear if he had a juvenile record, as that information usually remains sealed for minors.<\/span> <\/span><span style=\"text-align: right;\">At approximately 11 a.m., gunfire erupted in the 6100 block of Hialeah Street in Orlando where a woman in her 20s was found shot inside a vehicle and succumbed to her injuries.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\" style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;He was an acquaintance of the woman this morning, but as far as we know, had no connection to the reporter and no connection to the mother and 9-year-old.<\/span> We don\u2019t know why he entered that home,&#8221; Mina said of Moses. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;The vehicle didn\u2019t look like a typical news vehicle with a lot of markings on it.<\/span> It\u2019s possible that he could have mistaken\u00a0them for law enforcement.<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0I just don\u2019t know at this time.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the juice: One thing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is<\/em><\/span>\u00a0known, or should have been obvious.\u00a0 With a rap sheet longer than most people&#8217;s arms (and that&#8217;s just the crimes committed during his brief two years as an adult), Mr. Moses posed a clear and present danger to the public, and shouldn&#8217;t have been breathing air outside of a prison cell.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since we&#8217;re on the subject of known threats to public safety allowed to roam free, writing at\u00a0<em>NRO<\/em>, Jeff Zymeri relates the&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"article-header__title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/missouri-ag-demands-st-louis-prosecutor-resign-or-face-removal\/?utm_source=email&amp;utm_medium=breaking&amp;utm_campaign=newstrack&amp;utm_term=30637405\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">Missouri AG Demands St. Louis Prosecutor \u2018Resign or Face Removal<\/span><\/span><\/a><span incident in downtown St. Louis last week in which an out-of-town teenager was run over and had to have both of her legs amputated. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">According to Bailey, Gardner\u2019s neglect as a city prosecutor is at fault: The driver who caused the accident was out on bond as he awaited trial for armed robbery.<\/span> \u201cAs Attorney General, I want to protect the people of St. Louis, and that includes protecting victims of crime and finding justice for them,\u201d explained Bailey. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cInstead of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>protecting<\/em><\/span> victims, Circuit Attorney Gardner is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>creating<\/em><\/span> them.<\/span> My office will do everything in its power to restore order, and eliminate the chaos in St. Louis caused by Kim Gardner\u2019s neglect of her office.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>If Gardner does not resign by exactly noon on Thursday, February 23, Bailey\u2019s office promised to initiate immediate removal proceedings in the form of a writ of\u00a0<em>quo warranto<\/em>, a mechanism to challenge a person\u2019s right to hold office.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The driver of the speeding vehicle, Daniel Riley, 21, was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>out on bond and under house arrest<\/em><\/span> for allegedly stealing a firearm from a victim at gunpoint in 2020. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Riley had been ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device.<\/span> Riley\u2019s robbery case was supposed to go to trial last July, but was withdrawn and refiled. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>At that point<\/em><\/span>, Riley had already earned <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>54 separate violations<\/em><\/span> for failing to comply with the pre-trial bond conditions, according to Bailey\u2019s statement.<\/span> The now 21-year-old would go on to earn <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>50 more violations<\/em><\/span> since July.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cThe Circuit Attorney never filed a motion to revoke Riley\u2019s bond,\u201d read the statement.<\/span> \u201cThis is the latest in a long pattern of brazen neglect. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The St. Louis Circuit Attorney has a long history of failure to prosecute violent crime, with a backlog of at least 3,000 cases.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Earlier this week,\u00a0Gardner\u2019s office said\u00a0it was well aware of Riley\u2019s criminal history, but said the decision to allow him out on bond <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>was the call of the judge<\/em><\/span> on that particular case.\u00a0<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>However<\/em><\/span>, a statement from the 22nd Circuit Court responding to Gardner\u2019s accusation said <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>judges are not notified of GPS violations<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Only the attorneys of record<\/em><\/span> are notified.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>This is not the time for finger pointing, it\u2019s time to support this family, and ensure that justice is served,\u201d\u00a0read a statement\u00a0from Gardner\u2019s office.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The office added that the case against Riley had been complicated by the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>robbery victim\u2019s death<\/em><\/span> \u2014 but the victim is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>very much alive, according to his father<\/em><\/span>, Jim Dandridge.\u00a0<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cObviously, he\u2019s alive.<\/span> He just left to go to work. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">He\u2019s a young kid.<\/span> He\u2019s 20 years old. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">He does all kinds of stuff.<\/span> He\u2019s perfectly healthy \u2013 healthy as a 20-year-old boy can be,\u201d Dandridge\u00a0told a local Fox affiliate.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Riley has been arrested for the teenager\u2019s maiming, pleading not guilty.<\/span> This time, the judge denied him bond.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Criticism has not only come from Republicans like Bailey and Missouri governor Mike Parson.<\/span> St. Louis Democratic mayor Tishaura Jones, who is a longtime Gardner ally,\u00a0condemned her behavior.\u00a0<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cI hope the Circuit Attorney recognizes that seeking accountability and change is not \u2018pointing fingers,&#8217;\u201d explained Jones.<\/span> \u201cIf she cannot do so, then she must do some serious soul-searching about her future as circuit attorney because <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>she has lost the trust of the people<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>You&#8217;ll recall it was Kim Gardner who charged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksdk.com\/article\/news\/crime\/st-louis-couple-pointed-guns-protesters-charged\/63-be631d76-b3fc-4180-9d69-612b79bbc91d\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the couple who defended their home from a criminally-trespassing Black Lies Matter\u00a0mob<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/span>that had breached the entrance of their gated community with unlawful use and flourishing of a weapon.\u00a0 No doubt had the mob forced Mark and Patricia McCloskey to defend either their property or themselves from physical attack, Gardner would have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>charged the couple<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em><\/span> the members of the mob.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Next, <em>NRO<\/em>&#8216;s Dominic Pino reports what shouldn&#8217;t surprise anyone with half a brain or an ounce of common sense, namely, as the&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"article-header__title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2023\/02\/whats-going-on-with-the-ohio-train-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"dynamic-link\">the nature of the accident<\/a><\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">There is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em> <em>any<\/em><\/span> evidence in this report that the crew <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>did <\/em><em>anything<\/em><\/span> wrong.<\/span> They were adhering to the speed limit, and they responded correctly to the promptings of the safety devices. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">The first two hotbox detectors did not show cause for concern.<\/span> It was not until the third one that the crew <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>should<\/em><\/span> have reacted, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>it did<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\">The train\u2019s emergency braking system went into effect as it should have to stop the train.<\/span> It seems that the wheelset failure occurred at a very inopportune time, reaching critical heat levels right before a hotbox detector after being comfortably within safe operating levels at the previous hotbox detector. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">Regardless of which braking system is in use \u2014 including the much-hyped electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes that the Department of Transportation has been talking about \u2014 it takes a while to stop a freight train.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The idea that the failure of a past regulatory effort to mandate ECP brakes on high-hazard flammable trains (HHFT) contributed to this accident is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>absurd<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">First, the issue seems to have been the timing of the hotbox-detector reading, and there was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no<\/em><\/span> brake failure.<\/span> Second, this train was a general-merchandise train, and it was properly classified as such. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">The\u00a0HHFT designation\u00a0only applies to trains with \u201ca continuous block of 20 or more tank cars loaded with a flammable liquid or 35 or more tank cars loaded with a flammable liquid dispersed through a train,\u201d according to the DOT.<\/span>\u00a0This train\u00a0only had three cars carrying flammable liquids, and only one of those cars was breached in the accident. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">Vinyl chloride is a gas, and is consequently and properly subject to different regulations.<\/span> The vast majority of the train was non-hazardous. <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>No iteration<\/em><\/span> of the failed ECP-brake regulation would have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>applied to this train<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Another component of HHFT regulations is that they are always restricted to a speed limit of 50 miles per hour.<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> That was already the speed limit on this section of track, and the train was going 47 miles per hour, so <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that<\/em><\/span> portion of the designation is also irrelevant.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The decision to vent and burn the vinyl chloride <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>seems<\/em><\/span> to have been taken with great deliberation and caution. <span style=\"color: #000080;\">The NTSB says responders were aware of the rising temperatures in one of the cars on February 5, but the venting only began in the late afternoon of February 6.<\/span> That suggests it was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not a decision that was taken lightly<\/em><\/span>, and with good reason, considering the images we all saw of the burn.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2023\/02\/buttigieg-uses-ohio-train-crash-to-push-progressive-priorities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-testid=\"dynamic-link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">No part of Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg\u2019s policy response to the accident would have prevented the accident<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333399;\">, based on the evidence the NTSB has so far released.<\/span> Top areas of interest as the investigation progresses are whether responders were right to vent and burn the chemicals, whether anything different could have been done concerning hotbox detectors, and whether the car that started the
