It’s Wednesday, March 1st, 2023…but before we begin, coming on the heels of school administrators county-wide refusing to release National Merit Scholarship awards in time for\u00a0 inclusion in early admission materials, the deliberate deception or unforgivable ignorance of this member of the school board is proof positive you’ve have to be crazy<\/span><\/em>…or have no interest whatsoever<\/em><\/span> in your child’s future…to keep them in the Fairfax County, VA public school system:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Abrar Omeish, 28, had previously delivered a left-wing speech during a high school commencement<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

“…School board member Abrar Omeish was discussing the Day of Remembrance \u2013 an observance day for victims of Japanese-American internment during World War II. The day coincides with the U.S. invasion of Iwo Jima, which was on February 19, 1945.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“Just a few days ago was Japanese Day of Remembrance,” Omeish said during the meeting. “Something for us to certainly reflect on\u2026 the days when, you know, Iwo Jima unfortunately happened and set a record for really what, I hate to say, human evil is capable of.”<\/span> The Battle of Iwo Jima \u2013 which lasted from February 19 to March 26 \u2013 was a significant victory for the U.S. during World War II. Nearly 7,000 American service-members lost their lives while trying to capture the island from imperial Japan.<\/span><\/picture><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It is unclear why Omeish said the battle was an example of human evil.\u00a0Omeish did not acknowledge any error in what she said in a statement after her remarks.<\/span> “There is no reason to warp what was said and reading more into it merely reflects biases forced in by the listener<\/em><\/span>,” Omeish said to The Washington Free Beacon<\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The 28-year-old school board member has made controversial statements in the past.<\/span> A Fairfax County parent said that she upset Jewish parents by referring to Israel as an apartheid state. “This caused huge outrage among over 250,000 Jewish Americans here in Northern Virginia and it sparked outrage across all political lines and there were calls for her to apologize.<\/span> She offered no apology. She doubled down on it,”\u00a0parent Gary Aiken<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0told “Fox & Friends First” last year.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Omeish also delivered a politically-charged speech to\u00a0Justice High School students\u00a0in 2021, warning them that they were entering an unfair capitalist world<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<\/picture><\/u>“Our world is overwhelmed with need.<\/span> We struggle with human greed, racism, extreme versions of individualism and capitalism, White supremacy, growing wealth gaps, disease, climate crisis, extreme poverty amid luxury and waste right next door. And the list goes on,” Omeish said.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

Perhaps the fact Omeish is herself<\/em> <\/span>a product of this same public school system explains her ignorance, so we’ll help her calibrate her sense of evil.\u00a0 THIS<\/em><\/span>…<\/strong><\/p>\n
