edition of the week, a quick assessment of the veracity of The Dear Misleader&#8217;s monotonously mendacious&#8230;&#8221;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>mis<\/em><\/span>pronouncements&#8221;:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ciesAzdCQgU\" height=\"235\" width=\"420\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>As the great Stilton Jarlsberg notes in the latest installment of <em>Hope n&#8217; Change<\/em>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23523\" alt=\"obama1\" underline;\"><em>other<\/em><\/span> skeletons of palterings-past may reside in his closet?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23553\" alt=\"sandymartindale\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/sandymartindale1.gif\" width=\"480\" height=\"273\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;at least while they&#8217;re otherwise engaged in thanking Der Obafuhrer for ruining what&#8217;s left of their lives.\u00a0 Hat tip to Sandy Martindale for the dissatisfied O-Bomb-a-care customers.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a related item,\u00a0<em>Commentary Magazine<\/em>&#8216;s Peter Wehner, though still exhibiting the same inexplicable inability of many otherwise-intelligent Conservatives to call this President a liar, is beginning&#8230;just <em>beginning<\/em>, mind you&#8230;to bring himself to admit what the rest of us have known since 2006:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"post-title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Barack Obama\u2019s Multiplying Deceptions<\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obamaobamacareclintonandobamalaughingoverlies1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23559\" alt=\"obamaobamacareclintonandobamalaughingoverlies\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obamaobamacareclintonandobamalaughingoverlies1.jpg\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>It was, I think, the most brazenly mendacious claim an American president has told since Bill Clinton\u2019s finger-wagging insistence\u00a0that \u201cI did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>I have in mind Barack Obama\u2019s statement, made earlier this week, in which he said this: \u201cNow, if you have or had one of these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law and you really liked that plan, <i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">what we said was you can keep it if it hasn\u2019t changed since the law passed<\/span><\/i>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span> (Emphasis added.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">That is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em><\/span>, in fact, what the president said.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Not by a country mile<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-you-lie_thumb71.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23560\" alt=\"obama-you-lie_thumb[7]\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-you-lie_thumb71.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-you-lie_thumb71.jpg 400w, 30px;\">What Mr. Obama actually said, dozens of times, is a variation of what he said during a speech to the American Medical Association on June 15, 2009: \u201cThat means that no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health-care plan, you\u2019ll be able to keep your health-care plan, period. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>No one<\/em><\/span> will take it away, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no matter what<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">But Mr. Obama is not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill fabulist. <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">It appears as if he\u2019s in the process of becoming an inveterate one.<\/span><\/strong> He was, after all, building one untruth upon another. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>I say that because by now it\u2019s obvious to nearly everyone, including liberals, that the president and his aides knew that when he made his initial claim that under the Affordable Care Act you will be able to keep your health-care plan \u201cno matter what\u201d\u2013that you would keep it \u201cperiod\u201d\u2013<em>he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">knew<\/span> the assertion was false<\/em>.<\/strong><\/span> Yet he repeated it over and over again. (I\u2019d urge you to watch <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a title=\"You Can Keep Your Plan\" href=\"http:\/\/videos.nymag.com\/video\/If-You-Like-Your-Plan-Supercut#c=J63WKQ1LRXWQ03RL&amp;t=%22If%20You%20Like%20Your%20Plan...%22%20Supercut\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">this short video<\/span><\/a><\/strong> <\/span>produced by <i>New York<\/i> magazine, which is a montage of Obama quotes claiming \u201cyou can keep your plan no matter what.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The last six weeks have been brutal ones for the Obama presidency. And I\u2019m guessing that the damage that\u2019s been inflicted will not be transitory. All the failures surrounding the Affordable Care Act\u2013from the disastrous rollout of the federal health-care exchanges, to sticker shock surrounding premiums and deductibles, to the jolting realization that millions of people are now being forced out of health-care plans they like (with millions more to follow)\u2013has likely left an indelible mark of incompetence on Mr. Obama. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>He looks like nothing so much as a community organizer who is totally overmatched by events.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(&#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Looks<\/em><\/span>&#8221; like?!?)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/wpid-1383829451886.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-23561\" alt=\"wpid-1383829451886\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/wpid-1383829451886-300x300.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/wpid-1383829451886-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/wpid-1383829451886-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/wpid-1383829451886.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">That would be injurious enough. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>But now you can add to the mix the shattering of Mr. Obama\u2019s credibility; the belief among a growing number of his fellow citizens that he cannot be trusted, that he will corrupt words in order to advance his ways.<\/strong><\/span> Those character defects would be troubling enough in, say, a state senator. They are much more problematic to find in an American president. Yet of the country&#8217;s 100 fully functioning public hospitals, nine in 10 have just 7 percent of the supplies they need, Natera said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ap-story-p\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>The other nearly 200 public hospitals that existed when Chavez took office were largely replaced by a system of walk-in clinics run by Cuban doctors workplace discrimination against gay, bisexual and transgender Americans.
