and then challenged him to a fight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/f9IdddtgP2o\" height=\"235\" width=\"420\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Mr. Sharpton is also fond of the N-word, it turns out.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> In his book &#8220;The Power of the Mayor: David Dinkins: 1990-1993,&#8221; author Chris McNickle writes that &#8220;Over the years, Reverend Al Sharpton had called [New York Mayor David Dinkins] an Uncle Tom and once referred to him as &#8216;that nigger whore turning tricks in City Hall.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/content.bitsontherun.com\/players\/UVZFNvpm-svqBtzyp.html\" height=\"235\" width=\"420\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"auto\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">None of this seems to have gotten in the way of MSNBC hiring Mr. Sharption or giving him his own television show. There he was Monday morning on MSNBC lecturing professional athletes on their choice of locker room insults. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>He equated using the N-word to using sexist or homophobic terms and said that people who use such language &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>should be fired<\/em><\/span>.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Yes, he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>really<\/em><\/span> said that.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Any&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/350px-Fairness-doc.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23829\" alt=\"350px-Fairness-doc\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/350px-Fairness-doc.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/350px-Fairness-doc.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/350px-Fairness-doc-300x222.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/a><strong>&#8230;questions?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of lying, hypocritical Liberals whose only standards are double, courtesy of <em>NRO<\/em>, Jonah Goldberg details&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"article-title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Obama in the dark<\/span><\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"item-subtitle\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Dems have only themselves to blame for Obamacare quagmire.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/999159_453035871469868_990130717_n.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23810\" alt=\"999159_453035871469868_990130717_n\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/999159_453035871469868_990130717_n.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/999159_453035871469868_990130717_n.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/999159_453035871469868_990130717_n-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Watching President Obama\u2019s press conference Thursday, I almost started humming the old ditty \u201cThe Farmer in the Dell\u201d because all I could think was: \u201cThe cheese stands alone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The president did his level best to explain that he was as in the dark as anybody about the problems with his signature legislation.<\/strong><\/span> He explained that he was not \u201cinformed directly\u201d that the Healthcare.gov website was about as ready to run as a three-legged horse at the Preakness Stakes. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Apparently, the old saw that the \u201cbuck stops\u201d with the president never took into account the possibility that the buck could get lost in interoffice mail.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">While all of the attention has been focused on the executive branch\u2019s spectacular failure, it\u2019s worth taking a moment to note that Obama was not the sole author of this disaster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-victim.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23811\" alt=\"obama victim\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-victim.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"246\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">You can absolve Congress \u2014 Democrats and Republicans alike \u2014 of blame for the website\u2019s dysfunction. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The record is pretty clear that the White House froze them out of that process. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">That was why Democratic Sen. Max Baucus, an architect of the law, finally went public with his prediction of a \u201ctrain wreck\u201d \u2014 because he was sick of being kept out of the loop on the site\u2019s progress.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In our system, Congress allocates money for stuff it wants and then lets the executive branch implement the law. If the president messes up, Congress gets to come in afterward to criticize and offer ways to clean up the mess.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>But you can\u2019t let Congress off the hook\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(let alone Baucus!)<\/span> for the underlying driver of this calamity: the lie that \u201cif you like your health plan, you can keep it. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Period<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span> This is now beyond dispute, though there\u2019s still some squabbling about the \u201cL\u201d word itself. It wasn\u2019t a lie, Obama and his defenders insist, it was simply an \u201cincorrect promise,\u201d in the words of the <i>New York Times<\/i>. I somehow doubt that locution would provide much cover for an adulterer who tells his wife, \u201cHoney, I didn\u2019t break my wedding vows. That was just an incorrect promise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-didnt-know.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23813\" alt=\"obama-didnt-know\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-didnt-know.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-didnt-know.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/obama-didnt-know-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">But whatever label you want to put on that untruth, Obama wasn\u2019t alone in offering it. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Moreover, even though the legislation may go by the moniker \u201cObamacare,\u201d the fact is the president didn\u2019t write the law.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Congress<\/em><\/span> did, specifically <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>congressional Democrats<\/em><\/span>, <em>with virtually <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no<\/span> Republican input<\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Senate majority leader Harry Reid insisted that the Affordable Care Act \u201cmeans making sure you can keep your family\u2019s doctor or keep your health care plan, if you like it.\u201d<\/strong> <\/span>His number two, Senate majority whip Dick Durbin, said, \u201cWe are going to put in any legislation considered by the House and Senate the protection that you, as an individual, keep the health insurance you have, if that is what you want.\u201d Senator Patty Murray, the chair of the Senate Budget Committee, said it too: \u201cIf you like what you have today, that will be what you have when this legislation is passed.\u201d <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Democratic senators Chuck Schumer, Max Baucus, Jeanne Shaheen, Jay Rockefeller, Bob Casey, and many, many other Democrats spouted the same talking points.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Heck, Nancy Pelosi\u2019s website <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>still<\/em><\/span> says that under Obamacare you can \u201cKeep your doctor, and your current plan, if you like them.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">There\u2019s a lot of chatter in Washington that Democrats on the Hill feel like they were lied to or misled by the White House. <span style=\"color: #000000;\">But if you understand how our Constitution works \u2014 and they should, given that they only took an oath to defend it \u2014 it\u2019s Obama who should feel lied to. <\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>The law is really <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>quite clear<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">It was so clear that the Congressional Budget Office \u2014 their own in-house think tank \u2014 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>said<\/em><\/span> that millions would lose their health-care plans.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Obama<\/em><\/span> even said so <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>with the Democratic leadership in the room<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/139472_600.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23812\" alt=\"139472_600\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/139472_600.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/139472_600.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/139472_600-300x197.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">More to the point, the law was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>intended<\/em><\/span> to cause millions of people to lose their existing plans so they would enter the exchanges. <\/span>Now the same people who literally wrote the law feel betrayed when the law does exactly what they intended.<\/strong><\/span> That\u2019s like getting mad at a remote-control car when you crash it. Yes, the website\u2019s failures make the panic more acute, but the fact remains that the Affordable Care Act is doing precisely what it\u2019s supposed to do.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A great many Democrats voted for the Iraq war and then, when the war became unpopular, claimed they\u2019d been lied to by President Bush. That was dishonorable enough. But at least the Democrats could claim they didn\u2019t have all of the information. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>When it comes to the quagmire of Obamacare, the only liars they should be mad at are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Democrats<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Then again, The Dear Misleader&#8217;s kind are <em>accustomed<\/em> to operating without the benefit of light; as Christ said in Luke 22:53, &#8220;<\/strong><strong><em>When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a related item, writing at <em>The Washington Times<\/em>, Joe Curl sees recent events as&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"mb min entry-title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The beginning of the end for Barack Obama<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Obama_EndIsNearMO.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23817\" alt=\"Obama_EndIsNearMO\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Obama_EndIsNearMO.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"302\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Obama_EndIsNearMO.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Obama_EndIsNearMO-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Second-term presidents in the past 30 years have had some pretty embarrassing news conferences, full of frank admissions of failure, submissive spasms of shame and groveling, grieving apologies. Bill Clinton had to admit that he actually did have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky; George W. Bush finally thought of something he might have done wrong; his dad had to explain all those new taxes after his unequivocal pledge; and even Ronald Reagan ate crow over the Iran-Contra affair.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>But there has <em>never<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>ever<\/em><\/span>, been a more pitiful presser than the one conducted last week by President Obama. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">In a nutshell, he said sure, everything\u2019s a mess, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>but he just didn\u2019t know<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span> Introspective for the first time, he acknowledged he \u201cfumbled the rollout\u201d of Obamacare, said his \u201cyou can keep it\u201d pledge \u201cended up not being accurate\u201d and admitted that his \u201ccredibility\u201d is in the dumper. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">And he tossed out this gem: \u201cWhat we\u2019re also discovering is that insurance is complicated to buy.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<em>Ya <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">think<\/span><\/em>?\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(Spoken like a man who&#8217;s never had to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>do<\/em><\/span> it, nor knows anything <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>about<\/em><\/span> it!)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">This second-term unraveling has beset nearly all modern presidents. Like Mr. Clinton before him (whose second-term agenda was derailed by a stained little blue dress), George W. Bush\u2019s ambitious plans, including an overhaul of entitlement programs, died suddenly after the Hurricane Katrina debacle. His own party abandoned him on immigration reform, and he was left counting the days until he could go home to his Texas ranch. Dead. As is the rest of his legislative wish list. And we\u2019ll have to see whether Hillary Rodham Clinton wants him anywhere near the campaign trail in 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Funny, it was Mrs. Clinton\u2019s husband who played a big role in the meltdown. Slick Willie, with an eye on his wife\u2019s coming run, tossed out the idea that the president should \u2014 shocker \u2014 honor his commitment that \u201cIf you like your health care plan, you can keep it.\u201d That gave fellow Democrats the cover to bail on the embattled president \u2014 and they did, in droves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Twenty hours after Mr. Obama\u2019s depressing presser, 39 Democrats joined Republicans to support the \u201cKeep Your Health Plan Act of 2013.\u201d <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>And just like that, No. 44 became a lame duck, eviscerated and emasculated.<\/strong><\/span> The shutdown? Ancient history. The fractured Republican Party? Bush found himself after weeks of dire Katrina coverage.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201cWhen you take a look at history, when presidents in their second terms drop on credibility, trust and approval, they never come back from that,\u201d former Bush campaign strategist Matthew Dowd said last week. \u201cWhen we look back three years from now at the end of his presidency, we\u2019re going to all say this was the tipping point of his relevancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>And the president knows it.<\/strong><\/span> In his funereal news conference, he sought to once again sow division and dissension \u2014 his go-to M.O. In a desperate gambit, he suggested that insurers re-offer the plans they have been canceling because of Obamacare. The intent: If Americans pay more for health care under his program now, it\u2019s not his fault \u2014 it\u2019s those heartless insurance companies! that\u2019s already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey is sweeping the nation, and it preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets, anywhere.<\/span> A recent report from New York-based CBS 2 shed light on the growing trend, displaying unsettling footage of teens participating in this game \u2013 which goes by the name \u2018Knockout\u2019 \u2013 and involves randomly targeting passersby, with the ultimate goal being to knock them out with one punch as they walk by.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">One victim shown in the footage was 46-year-old Ralph Santiago of Hoboken, N.J., who was found dead with his neck broken and head lodged between iron fence posts, according to NJ.com.
