It’s Monday, August 11th, 2014…and as we sit here writing, we’re watching Rory win his 4th Major…and wanting to reach through the television screen and strangle Jim Nance.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Which brings us, strangely enough, to the subject of today’s Sports Section, where\u00a0the AP’s Jim Litke opines…<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Woods Not Done in Majors, But He’s Close<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n

“At No. 7, Tiger Woods bent over so gingerly to pick up his tee that you wondered whether he’d get back up. At No. 8, he leaned so heavily on his putter while retrieving a ball from the cup that the shaft bowed like a guitar string.<\/p>\n

By then he was 3-over par for the day, a half-dozen strokes on the wrong side of the cut line with a still-sore back and one foot already out the door. Sympathy for Woods might be in short supply, but it was still sad to watch.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…Woods’ critics were out in force long before then.<\/span><\/strong> Some portion of the audience found him too arrogant right from the start, and even after he ascended to the top of the game and tournament after tournament put on the best show in sports. Another big chunk peeled off after the scandal. Every time he’s humbled – and despite a combined eight tour wins in 2012-13, there have been no shortage of those instances – Woods gets carpet-bombed on social media and barroom conversations<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Litke’s right; but, just as so many in today’s MSM, for the wrong reasons. \u00a0Like one B. Hussein Obama, Tiger’s issues are the result of (a) overexposure by a fawning MSM determined to promote him merely on the basis of his skin color, and (b) inherent character flaws. \u00a0Though in all fairness to the wayward Mr. Woods, at least Tiger’s actually accomplished something in his life.<\/b><\/p>\n

People don’t love or hate Tiger personally<\/span><\/em>; they’re simply fed up with him<\/em><\/span> being the story…even when he’s not<\/em><\/span> playing!<\/b><\/p>\n

This reminds us of our days at Annapolis. \u00a0My Naval Academy class was comprised of young men from across the country, thus with loyalties to every NFL team then in existence. \u00a0Being that our dad played with Sammy Baugh between WWII and Korea, we were somewhat biased towards the Redskins. \u00a0But those not raised with burgundy and gold coursing through their veins, who as Plebes were forced daily to memorize an article from the WaPo<\/em> sports section and thus had to endure the Post<\/em>‘s 24\/7, 365-days-a-year endless extolling of the virtues of George Allen’s Over the Hill Gang developed an understandable distaste for the very concept of Washington football.<\/b><\/p>\n

This explains the public’s issue with Tiger. \u00a0And frankly, it’s why so many Americans suffer EOF: Extreme Obama Fatigue.<\/strong> Sure Tiger’s good for golf. \u00a0But if golf can survive the retirement of Jack Nicklaus, it can survive most anything. \u00a0And even if Tiger’s sunset marks the demise of the professional golf, then the PGA has no one to blame but themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But The Obamao’s not good for anything<\/em><\/span>…or anyone<\/span>;\u00a0other than those looking to suck on the taxpayer teat. \u00a0Thus our concern remains whether\u00a0America can survive the continued presence of The Obamao.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then again, what can one expect when the candidate who campaigned on uniting the country clearly claims…<\/strong><\/p>\n

“…The first reports of Russian testing of a banned mid-range missile came six years ago. U.S. officials have since said that the Russians have worked on three different types of cruise missiles able to fly 500 to 5,500 kilometers, which are prohibited by the INF.<\/p>\n

The Administration didn’t inform the Senate of these violations during the 2010 ratification debate for Mr. Obama’s nuclear deal, New Start.<\/span> Seventy-one Senators voted for the treaty without having the facts.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Only two years later did Administration officials brief the Foreign Relations Committee about the cheating in a closed-door hearing, according to a November report in the Daily Beast.\u00a0John Kerry, who then chaired the Senate committee, declared that “we’re not going to pass another treaty in the U.S. Senate if our colleagues are sitting up here knowing somebody is cheating<\/em><\/span>,” according to a classified transcript reported by the news site.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Yet it took another two years<\/em><\/span> for the U.S. to issue last week’s public demarche to Moscow about the INF.<\/strong><\/span> For much of the Obama era, the Administration pursued a diplomatic warming with Russia, seeking\u00a0Vladimir Putin’s help in Syria, Afghanistan and Iran and treaties to follow up New Start. Why let a few illegal Russian cruise missiles spoil the good vibes<\/em><\/span>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Be it arms control, gun control, emissions control or calorie control, every single Progressive policy<\/em><\/span> has one<\/em><\/span> thing in common:<\/strong><\/p>\n
