{"id":28711,"date":"2014-12-28T19:54:42","date_gmt":"2014-12-29T00:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/?p=28711"},"modified":"2014-12-28T19:54:49","modified_gmt":"2014-12-29T00:54:49","slug":"christmas-edition-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/?p=28711","title":{"rendered":"Christmas Edition 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>It&#8217;s Thursday, December 25th, 2014&#8230;and for all you Charlie Brown&#8217;s out there, <em>this<\/em>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pn10FF-FQfs\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is<\/em><\/span> what Christmas is all about! \u00a0Jesus <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is<\/em><\/span> the reason for the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>So this Christmas, let&#8217;s remember it&#8217;s not about the presents or the food, and certainly not about those heinous Christmas sweaters. \u00a0It&#8217;s about family; not only yours and ours, but the entire family of man. \u00a0After all, though Christ indeed is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>reason<\/em><\/span> for the season, as Paul wrote in his letter to the Phillipians&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-29397\" class=\"text Phil-2-5\">In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"poetry top-05\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p class=\"line\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-29398\" class=\"text Phil-2-6\">Who, being in very nature\u00a0God,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Phil-2-6\">did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;<\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-29399\" class=\"text Phil-2-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup>rather, <strong>he made himself nothing<\/strong><\/span><strong><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Phil-2-7\">by taking the very nature\u00a0of a servant,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Phil-2-7\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>being made in human likeness<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Merry Christmas<\/em><\/span>!)\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-29400\" class=\"text Phil-2-8\">And being found in appearance as a man,<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Phil-2-8\">he humbled himself\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Phil-2-8\">by becoming obedient to death &#8211;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"indent-2\"><span class=\"indent-2-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Phil-2-8\">even death on a cross!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"poetry top-05\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p class=\"line\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span id=\"en-NIV-29401\" class=\"text Phil-2-9\">Therefore God exalted him to the highest place<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Phil-2-9\">and gave him the name that is above every name,<\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-29402\" class=\"text Phil-2-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup>that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Phil-2-10\">in heaven and on earth and under the earth,<\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-NIV-29403\" class=\"text Phil-2-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup>and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Phil-2-11\">to the glory of God the Father.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;and John in his gospel&#8230;<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><b><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we&#8217;re<\/em><\/span> the reason He <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>came<\/em><\/span>!<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>A very blessed and Merry Christmas to you and yours from us and ours!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Magoo<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s Thursday, December 25th, 2014&#8230;and for all you Charlie Brown&#8217;s out there, this&#8230; &#8230;is what Christmas is all about!
