including Hillary&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rZHO1vo762c\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;Bill&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KiIP_KDQmXs\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;and Barry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iGAdrQ2RpdM\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>And let&#8217;s not forget either the &#8220;Reverend&#8221; Al&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KDVwbuEsMJw\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>or the bald-faced lies of his race-hustling soul mate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Specifically, <em>Jackson claimed that he was on the balcony with King immediately after the latter had been shot, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and that he had cradled the dying civil-rights leader in his arms as he took his final breaths<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>But in fact, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">at the moment King was shot, Jackson was actually in a nearby parking lot talking to a group of musicians<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>Kenneth Timmerman describes what happened next:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>When the shots rang out, he [Jackson] fled and hid behind the swimming pool area and reappeared 20-30 minutes later when the television cameras arrived on the scene<\/em><\/span>.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Are we the only one who finds it more than passing strange the MSM declines to provide\u00a0a disclaimer detailing these deceptions any time the Dynamic Dividers appear on the screen?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of Liberal lies, writing at the <em>WSJ<\/em>, Laurence Silberman details&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"wsj-article-headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\">The Dangerous Lie That \u2018Bush Lied\u2019<\/span><\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"sub-head\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #800080;\">Some journalists still peddle this canard as if it were fact. This is defamatory and could end up hurting the country.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/TenetSlamDunk.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29432\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/TenetSlamDunk.jpg\" alt=\"TenetSlamDunk\" width=\"300\" height=\"228\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;In any event, it is one thing to assert, then or now, that the Iraq war was ill-advised. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>It is quite another to make the horrendous charge that President Bush lied to or deceived the American people about the threat from Saddam.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I recently wrote to Ron Fournier protesting his accusation. His response, in an email, was to reiterate that \u201can objective reading of the events leads to only one conclusion: the administration . . . misinterpreted, distorted and in some cases lied about intelligence.\u201d <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>Although Mr. Fournier referred to \u201cevidence\u201d supporting his view, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">he did not cite any<\/span>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and I do not believe there is any<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">He did say correctly that \u201cintelligence is never dispositive; it requires analysis and judgment, with the final call and responsibility resting with the president.\u201d <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It is thus certainly possible to criticize President Bush for having believed what the CIA told him, although it seems to me that <em>any<\/em> president would have credited such confident assertions by the intelligence community.<\/span> <em>But to accuse the president of lying us into war must be seen as not only <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">false<\/span>,<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>but as dangerously defamatory<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The charge is dangerous because it can take on the air of historical fact\u2014with potentially dire consequences.<\/strong><\/span> I am reminded of a similarly baseless accusation that helped the Nazis come to power in Germany: that the German army had not really lost World War I, that the soldiers instead had been \u201cstabbed in the back\u201d by politicians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Sometime in the future, perhaps long after most of us are gone, an American president may need to rely publicly on intelligence reports to support military action. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>It would be tragic if, at such a critical moment, the president\u2019s credibility were undermined by memories of a false charge peddled by the likes of Ron Fournier.<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>As <em>NRO<\/em>&#8216;s Deroy Murdock noted back in October of 2014&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><a id=\"font-size26\" class=\"homie-headline-big active\" style=\"color: #800080; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/article\/390517\/bush-didnt-lie-deroy-murdock\">Bush Didn\u2019t Lie<\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Cwqh4wQPoQk\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The notion that Operation Iraqi Freedom rested upon a giant foundation of even bigger lies severely damaged the reputations of the United States of America, Bush, the conservative movement, and the GOP \u2014 the latter two of which tended to support the Iraq invasion. In response, the President of France calls for a show of unity, inviting all civilized nations of the world to participate in a march against terrorism. Many national leaders attend, but what does President Obama do? He stays home and watches a ballgame, not even deigning to send a top-level cabinet official to represent the United States. Several terrorist attacks in Europe and the U.S. are thwarted at the last minute by vigilant police work. How does President Obama respond? He refuses to acknowledge that the civilized nations of the world are at war with terrorists bent on our destruction. Terrorist attacks are linked to a group with ties to Yemen. How does President Obama respond? He announces the release of Muslim terrorists with ties to the same group in Yemen from Guantanamo prison.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Either Barack Obama is the most out-of-touch president to ever occupy the White House or he is purposefully doing things that are destructive to America and its future.<\/strong><\/span> These miscues\u2014if that is what they are\u2014are just the latest in a long line of questionable actions on the president\u2019s part. Trust me, the vast majority of them aren&#8217;t throwing parties to toast &#8220;falling&#8221; unemployment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>There&#8217;s another reason why the official rate is misleading. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">Say you&#8217;re an out-of-work engineer or healthcare worker or construction worker or retail manager: If you perform a minimum of one hour of work in a week and are paid at least $20 &#8212; <em>maybe someone pays you to mow their lawn<\/em> &#8212; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>you&#8217;re not officially counted as unemployed in the much-reported 5.6%<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Few Americans know this<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Yet another figure of importance that doesn&#8217;t get much press: <em>those working part time but wanting full-time work<\/em>.<\/span> If you have a degree in chemistry or math and are working 10 hours part time because it is all you can find &#8212; The stock rose eightfold in the next decade.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">If there\u2019s a lesson for McDonald\u2019s latest troubles, which got CEO Don Thompson fired this week, it\u2019s that every organization keeps doing what works until it no longer works. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">McDonald\u2019s problems are eminently fixable.<\/span> The idea that the fast-food chain is doomed because fast food is pass\u00e9, a favorite press theme, is silly.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The easiest part is to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>stop doing what no longer works<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong> <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Partly to appease critics by wadding up the menu with \u201chealthier\u201d choices<\/em><\/span>, partly to meet emerging competitors, McDonald\u2019s allowed its menu to become unwieldy.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>This created cost, logistic and quality-control problems that naturally were felt by the 80% of customers who came for the traditional fries, burgers and McNuggets<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(Including, Yours Truly, who still enjoys an occasional Filet &#8216;o Fish and\/or Double Quarter-Pounder Royale!)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">McD belatedly is doing what every chain from Burger King to Red Lobster to Olive Garden has been doing\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>focusing on its core mission and getting rid of extraneous menu items and costs<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> This will likely prove successful in boosting profits, then in boosting sales.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Which we KNOW will make our good buddy J.T. <span
