inexplicable refusal to divorce themselves from The Grifters:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/4c328d06535726d8907f4a469abaca69.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31396\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/4c328d06535726d8907f4a469abaca69.jpg\" alt=\"4c328d06535726d8907f4a469abaca69\" width=\"400\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/4c328d06535726d8907f4a469abaca69.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/4c328d06535726d8907f4a469abaca69-300x215.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"td1\" valign=\"middle\">\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"s1\">&#8220;&#8230;Then, the ZMan <span class=\"s2\">observed<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><em><span class=\"s1\">I prefer to look at the Clintons as an existential challenge to the American political class and the Progressive faith specifically. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>In the general sense, the ruling class\u2019s inability to police itself is why the Clintons exist.<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>A political class with a moral grounding would have cut off these two long before they made it to national politics.<\/strong><\/span> Instead, winning trumped ethics and these two were able to lever that to the top of the system.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">The central issue is that Progressives lack the ability to police their ranks, other than the hunting of heretics. <\/span><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">They are good at chasing off a guy like Juan Williams for apostasy, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">but they can\u2019t figure out how to police common criminals like the Clintons<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/em><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">(We&#8217;d posit they&#8217;d simply rather not!)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>That\u2019s it in a nutshell, isn\u2019t it?<\/strong><\/span> If <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/link.nationalreview.com\/547fd4393b35d0210c8dec302o1ve.3iax\/VTjyIMPofv5UKXwEAe006\"><span class=\"s2\">Progressives actually stood for what they claim to stand for, they would be a lot less insufferable<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em>; or if they felt the effects of the rules they want enforced against themselves, they might be less eager to create those rules. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>If \u201cspeech codes\u201d and prosecution for \u201chate speech\u201d consistently punished <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>them<\/em><\/span> for speaking their mind, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they would suddenly find a newfound appreciation for the First Amendment<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong> <\/span><strong>They call for higher taxes, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>then<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span> <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/link.nationalreview.com\/547fd4393b35d0210c8dec302o1ve.3iax\/VTegxcPont_XkuxfA3e23\"><span class=\"s2\">neglect to pay five-figure tax bills<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em>; if they feared the IRS as confusing, unfair, and punitive the way we did, there might be a broader consensus on taxation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"s1\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>They\u2019re great at denouncing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>somebody else\u2019s<\/em><\/span> greed, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>but feel a sense of entitlement at their own<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span> <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/link.nationalreview.com\/547fd4393b35d0210c8dec302o1ve.3iax\/VWxcUMPoh3cXbmrxAafaa\"><span class=\"s2\">Unions demand a higher minimum wage, then demand an exemption from it under a collective-bargaining agreement<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Vehement opponents of voucher programs refuse to send their kids to the local public schools.<\/strong><\/span> <strong>They reflexively<\/strong><\/span> <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/link.nationalreview.com\/547fd4393b35d0210c8dec302o1ve.3iax\/VWxcUMPoh3cXbmryAf2d4\"><span class=\"s2\">denounce \u201cwealthy elites\u201d without ever acknowledging the fact that they\u2019re wealthier and better-connected<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em> <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>than most of the people they\u2019re criticizing.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span class=\"s1\" style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>There\u2019s a hollowness in the heart of modern progressivism, because the gap between the way they expect others to live and the way they live themselves is broad and only widening &#8212; and few within their ranks really want to confront it or discuss it openly.<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8220;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Why? \u00a0Because they&#8217;re hopelessly hypocritical, irreversible ideologues; in other words, the very <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>embodiment<\/em><\/span> of the sins of which they, purposefully and with malice of forethought, slander Conservatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the juice: even were an unimpeachable, non-partisan source to produce a video in which Hillary unambiguously admitted selling out America for foreign lucre, the hardcore 47% Mitt Romney inadvisably but accurately cited would still&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/hitlery.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31395\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/hitlery.jpg\" alt=\"hitlery\" width=\"400\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/hitlery.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/hitlery-300x216.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;Seig Hillary.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Which brings us to this shocker, courtesy of James Rosen and FOX News:<\/b><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; she&#8217;s lying now!<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;Appearing at a National Press Club panel discussion in April, <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Jason Baron, the attorney who formerly served as the director of litigation at NARA, expressed amazement that NARA officials had not done more to discharge their supervisory duty over Clinton\u2019s recordkeeping practices.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201c<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>I remain mystified by the fact that the use of a private e-mail account apparently went either unnoticed or unremarked upon during the four-year tenure in office of the former secretary,<\/strong><\/span>\u201d said Baron, now in private practice at the firm of Drinker Biddle &amp; The first is from Harvard\u2019s The Equality of Opportunity Project. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>It finds that a poor child whose family leaves a bad neighborhood for a good one will have better long-term economic prospects.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The other, by Joel Kotkin\u2019s Center for Opportunity Urbanism, measures (by median household income, self-employment, housing affordability and population growth) the best and worst cities for America\u2019s racial minorities. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Its finding puts self-styled progressives to shame: <em>Of the top 15 cities for African-Americans today, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">13 are in the former Confederacy<\/span>.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Let\u2019s not mince words.<\/span> The Harvard study identifies Baltimore as the city where the odds are most stacked against a child\u2019s escaping poverty.<\/strong> <\/span>Mr. Kotkin says his center\u2019s study underscores \u201cthe relative worthlessness of good intentions.\u201d\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>It also underscores the <span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">worthlessness<\/span> of most of the conversations about Baltimore\u2019s future<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/CDwcNjhVIAA2J4p.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-31408\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/CDwcNjhVIAA2J4p.jpg\" alt=\"CDwcNjhVIAA2J4p\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/CDwcNjhVIAA2J4p.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/CDwcNjhVIAA2J4p-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>Including anything uttered by an utterly useless poser of a President.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>These include President Obama\u2019s urging more federal \u201cinvestment\u201d in the city.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\">Or MayorStephanie Rawlings-Blake\u2019s looking to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for $20 million to pay for the riot damage.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Or former Baltimore Mayor Martin O\u2019Malley\u2019s run for president on the same government-first orthodoxies that help explain all those boarded up buildings that Americans saw during last month\u2019s televised riots<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">For the people of Baltimore, meanwhile, reality remains bleak. This past weekend two double shootings upped Baltimore\u2019s monthly murder total for May to the worst level since 1972. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>I<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">s there anyone in America who really believes that the liberal narratives now invoked to explain Baltimore\u2019s problems<\/span> (mistrust of police, racial inequality, etc.) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">will lead to a revival of this once-prosperous port city<\/span><\/em>?<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>You know<\/strong><strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>other<\/em><\/span> than&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/obamamarx2.jpg\"><img
