We now know how the Obama administration and its friends will sell the deal with Iran:\u00a0lie<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s Representative Don Beyer, Democrat of Virginia, telling MSNBC why he\u2019ll vote for the Iran deal:\u00a0\u201cThanks to the Obama administration\u2019s negotiations, Iran\u2019s nuclear program will be under lock, key and camera 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.<\/span> The eyes of the international community are on every centrifuge, every ounce of uranium, in all of Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Completely false<\/em><\/span>: \u201cUN inspectors can demand access to nuclear facilities on Iran military sites, but they aren\u2019t immediate or even guaranteed<\/span><\/em>. Any<\/em><\/span> inspections at those sites would need to be approved by a joint commission composed of one member from each of the negotiating parties<\/em><\/span>. The process for approving those inspections could take as many as 24 days<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Nuculure\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There have been a lot of depressing lies from this administration and its friends \u2014 \u201cif you like your plan, you can keep your plan,\u201d \u201cI didn\u2019t call the Islamic State a \u2018JV\u2019 team\u201c; \u201cI believe marriage is between a man and a woman,\u201d\u00a0\u2013\u00a0but the fact that the administration and its allies will lie to the public about an issue as important as Iran\u2019s nuclear program is thoroughly dispiriting.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s almost as dispiriting as the administration\u2019s blind faith that this deal, which allows Iranian nuclear research to continue, won\u2019t set off a nuclear arms race in the Middle East and make a future nuclear conflict much, much more likely.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Just so we’re clear, Iran gets (a) $100 billion to finance international Islamic terrorism and further its nuclear weapons program; (b) to keep its centrifuges; (c) it’s underground nuclear research facility (which begs the question why a “peaceful” nuclear development program needs<\/em><\/span> an underground facility?!?); (d) additional oil revenues; (e) the ability to acquire new weapons systems; (f) virtually no inspections; and (g) a significantly reduced probability sanctions will ever be reimposed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What does the United States get?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Other than history repeating itself, not a damn thing!<\/strong><\/p>\n

And what about…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maybe international monitors will succeed with Iran where they failed with North Korea<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Maybe John Kerry is the world\u2019s best negotiator, and this deal was the best we could do<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Or maybe we won\u2019t<\/em><\/span> be lucky.<\/strong><\/span> Maybe there\u2019s no special providence for nations drunk on hope, led by fools<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n
