It’s Monday, November 2nd, 2015…but before we begin, two quick observations on recent developments within the Republican Party.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exhibit “A”: as James Taranto noted of the recent\u00a0CNBC<\/em> debacle…<\/strong><\/p>\n

“After it was over, Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, tweeted: \u201cCNBC should be ashamed of how this debate was handled.\u201d Then another tweet: \u201cI will fight to ensure future debates allow for a more robust exchange.\u201d But Priebus also took criticism for enlisting the network as a sponsor in the first place. Our favorite was a tweet from Cindy Cooper: \u201cDude. I\u2019m a housewife in Arizona and saw this coming<\/span>. Come on<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n

“Come on” is right. \u00a0No, Reince, you<\/em><\/span>…<\/strong><\/p>\n

…should be ashamed. \u00a0As The Daily Gouge<\/em> noted at the time, our inquiring mind\u00a0assumed\u00a0allowing George Snuffleupagas, as partisan a Progressive hack as has ever wasted our planet’s oxygen, the opportunity to introduce the Dims’ manufactured war-on-women into the 2012 election cycle would have alerted Priebus to the obvious opportunities for mayhem inherent with Progressive<\/em><\/span> MSM personalities “moderating” Republican<\/em><\/span> primary debates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But you know what…<\/strong><\/p>\n

…”assume” inevitably means…particularly when the presumption is predicated upon acts of political savvy or plain-old common sense on behalf of anyone<\/em><\/span> in the GOP, particularly its national leadership.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exhibit “B”:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s the juice: Republicans enjoyed unfettered control of the government for 5 of Dubya’s 8 years; still, federal spending skyrocketed. \u00a0After 2 years during which an out-of-control Obamao made Bush II look like a fiscal Conservative, voters handed the GOP the House, followed 2 years later by the Senate, for the express purpose of putting the brakes on Progressive policies and pronouncements.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So John Boehner, whose passing some on the Right still inexplicably mourn, and Kentucky’s village idiot respond by formulating a two-year budget deal which not only gives the sworn-enemy of everything the Founding Fathers held dear…<\/strong><\/p>\n

…everything he wants<\/em><\/span>, but eliminates the spending caps many in the GOP risked their political careers to gain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So you tell us: with friends like these<\/em><\/span>…<\/b><\/p>\n

…who needs Liberals<\/em><\/span>?!? \u00a0We know one thing: the Party of Priebus deserves neither our money nor our vote. \u00a0And while we’d vote for almost anyone running against Hillary, we certainly won’t be opening our checkbook.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, here’s The Gouge!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since we’re on the subject of The Gang Who Still Can’t Shoot Straight, here’s a headline which causes us to reconsider supporting a candidate we’d finally begun to find tolerable:<\/b><\/p>\n

“Hedge-fund billionaire Paul Singer\u2019s decision to throw his financial weight behind the\u00a0donor-class 2016 favorite,\u00a0Sen. Marco Rubio<\/span>, has sparked fresh questions about Rubio\u2019s coziness\u00a0with the financial interests funding his career.\u00a0Singer was a major financial force behind the Rubio-Obama amnesty and immigration expansion push in 2013.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As\u00a0Politico<\/em>\u00a0reported\u00a0at\u00a0the time, Singer \u201cquietly go[t] involved in the fight for immigration reform, making a six-figure donation\u2026 to the National Immigration Forum\u201d\u2014 a George Soros-backed organization that lobbied for Rubio\u2019s legislation to issue 33 million green cards to foreign nationals in the span of a single decade<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The announcement of Singer\u2019s endorsement highlights an intra-party tension that has emerged with new strength since\u00a0Rep. Paul Ryan<\/span>\u2019s inauguration as Speaker of the House.\u00a0There is a growing chasm between the more than 9 in 10 GOP voters, who want to see future immigration rates cut, versus GOP donors that are desperately seeking to install leaders in the White House and Congress who will further expand the nation\u2019s already record breaking immigration rates that are transforming the country\u2019s economy and electorate<\/strong><\/span>…”<\/p>\n

There is no question entitlements, even at their current<\/em><\/span> levels, are already bankrupting the country. \u00a0So either Singer and Rubio don’t understand<\/em><\/span> adding tens of millions of additional unskilled, uneducated, unacculturated immigrants, legal or otherwise, to the system can only accelerate its demise…or they don’t care.<\/b><\/p>\n
