Lewis and the Lamb who was slain!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>&#8220;It cost God nothing, so far as we know, to create nice things: but to convert rebellious wills cost Him crucifixion<\/em>.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>&#8220;&#8216;What are we to make of Christ?&#8217; There is no question of what we can make of Him, it is entirely a question of what He intends to make of us. You must accept or reject the story.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em>&#8220;To preach Christianity meant (to the Apostles) primarily to preach <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the Resurrection<\/span>. \u2026 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Resurrection<\/span> is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">central<\/span> theme in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">every<\/span> Christian sermon reported in the Acts. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Resurrection<\/span>, and its consequences, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">were<\/span> the &#8216;gospel&#8217; or good news which the Christians brought.&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>&#8220;Keep back nothing. Nothing that you have not given away will ever be really yours. Nothing in you that has not died will ever be raised from the dead. Look for yourself, and you will find in the long run only hatred, loneliness, despair, rage, ruin, and decay. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">But look for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Christ<\/span> and you will find <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Him<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and with Him<\/span>,<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">everything else thrown in<\/span>.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son, that he soever believeth in Him shall <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>NOT<\/em><\/span> perish, but have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>everlasting life<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Christ the Lord <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>IS<\/em><\/span>\u00a0risen today; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Hallelujah<\/em><\/span>!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Magoo<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s April 21st, Easter Sunday, 2019&#8230;and here&#8217;s our traditional Easter edition of The Gouge, courtesy of C.S.
