HHS rule protecting religious non-profits, the Little Sisters <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">finally received a religious exemption that applies to non-profits nationwide<\/span>.<\/span> Yet <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">California immediately sued<\/span> the federal government <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">to take that exemption away<\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Joined now by 12 other states and the District of Columbia, Attorney General Becerra is forcing the Little Sisters back to court to defend their hard-earned religious protection.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Hasn\u2019t Mr. Becerra heard of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>letting women decide such issues<\/em><\/span>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800000;\">Beyond policy, pro-choice rhetoric has become so extreme that even the \u201cfact checkers\u201d at the Washington Post recently felt compelled to expose the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a class=\"icon none broken_link\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2019\/05\/29\/planned-parenthoods-false-stat-thousands-women-died-every-year-before-roe\/?utm_term=.db18d211eacb&amp;mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">whoppers<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0being told by abortion absolutists.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Calling the politics of abortion \u201ctricky,\u201d columnist David Leonhardt at the New York Times opines\u00a0today that\u00a0\u201c<em>it\u2019s a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">big mistake<\/span>\u00a0for Democrats to imagine that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the country is as liberal as their own social circles<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>And I think signaling an openness to compromise on many issues is both <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">smart and
