cultural organizations in England have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>just\u00a0rejected\u00a0hosting talks by novelist Richard Zimler<\/em><\/span>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>explicitly<\/em><\/span> <em>because he\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Jewish<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong> <\/span><strong>In the\u00a0<em>Guardian<\/em>, Zimler writes of the conversation with a friend in which he learned of the trouble: \u201c\u2018They asked me if you were Jewish, <em>and the moment I said you <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">were<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">they lost all interest<\/span><\/em>,\u2019 he said. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201c\u2018They even stopped replying to my emails and returning my phone messages.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hidden-xs\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Zimler had been hoping to promote his new novel,\u00a0<em>The Gospel According to Lazarus,\u00a0and up until his friend confirmed the author\u2019s Jewishness, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">these unnamed organizations had been interested<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">And <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">then<\/span><\/em> they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>weren\u2019t<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> \u201cIt made Britain seem like a place I didn\u2019t know and maybe never knew,\u201d Zimler writes. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Even just asking<\/em><\/span> about my religious affiliation struck me as outrageous.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hidden-xs\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>It gets a bit <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>more<\/em><\/span> outrageous when you consider what Zimler\u2019s publicist\u00a0had to say\u00a0to the\u00a0<em>Observer<\/em>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>while not revealing his own name<\/em><\/span>: \u201cI was very shocked and surprised. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">People in the literary world are not usually narrow-minded.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Everyone who knows Richard knows he is his own person<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hidden-xs\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Zimler \u201cis his own person\u201d?<\/span> <em>That\u2019s a curious defense, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">isn\u2019t it<\/span><\/em>? <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It\u2019s hard not to think that what he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>meant<\/em><\/span> was that Zimler, <em>while<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Jewish<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>isn\u2019t a<\/em> <em>Zionist puppet<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>can<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>therefore<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>be tolerated<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hidden-xs\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>It might behoove Zimler to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">exercise<\/span> his individual personhood and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">fire his publicist<\/span>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">at the very least for remaining anonymous while commenting on the matter<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">And it would be helpful, too, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>if he revealed the names of the two blatantly anti-Semitic organizations that shot him down<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"hidden-xs\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>For a Jewish writer\u2014or any writer who\u2019s not slavishly PC\u2014to be truly his or her own person <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>will increasingly mean standing up to the bigots who seek to excise them from the world of arts and letters<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remember, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Germany<\/em><\/span> loved&#8230;er, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>tolerated<\/em><\/span> the Jews&#8230;until they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>didn&#8217;t<\/em><\/span>!\u00a0 Though we must note, in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>this case<\/em><\/span>\u00a0(curiously enough), the contemporary wave of anti-Semitism was preceded by The Left&#8217;s ever-increasing intolerance for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Christianity<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If there are truly none so blind as those who <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>will<\/em><\/span> not see, Dimocratic-voting Jews make moles look like eagles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Moving on, the <em>WSJ<\/em>&#8216;s Holman Jenkins accurately assesses&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"wsj-article-headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/what-barr-should-declassify-11562109191\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">What Barr Should Declassify<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"sub-head\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/what-barr-should-declassify-11562109191\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Release the secret inspector-general report on the Hillary Clinton email case<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/download-3.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-71006\" what happened: James Comey, on his sole initiative, held a press conference to announce that, though Mrs. Clinton had behaved improperly, she did not merit prosecution.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Except<\/em> <em>it <\/em><em>wasn\u2019t his decision to make<\/em><\/span>: It was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the Justice Department\u2019s<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>We <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>know<\/em><\/span> that Mr. Comey <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>secretly explained his action by invoking still-classified Russian intelligence<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">In his memoir, he refers to a development \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>unknown to the American public to this day<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> In fact, we <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>know<\/em><\/span> from news leaks that <em>a Russian intercept of some kind cited a Democratic Party email that referred to an alleged conversation in which Attorney General Loretta Lynch <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">promised to bury<\/span> the Hillary Clinton investigation<\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: from the email matter in time for the Democratic Convention<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The questions about this episode are many. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Mr. Barr could start by releasing the classified appendix of the Justice Department\u2019s own inspector general\u2019s review<\/em><\/span> (whose <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>existence<\/em><\/span> the media <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>uniformly ignores<\/em><\/span>)<\/span><\/span><\/strong>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hillary would howl like a scalded cat&#8230;i.e., like she screeched on the night that made Monica
