It’s Wednesday, July 10th, 2019…but before we begin, here’s a blast from the past which remains pertinent in light of current events, as, writing at PJMedia<\/em>\u00a0back in 2015, Stephen Kruiser observed<\/strong>\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Love Her or Hate Her, Ann Coulter Warned Us About John Roberts 10 Years Ago<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n

“After conservatives took another gut punch from black-robed Obamacare cheerleader Chief Justice John Roberts, many of us were left wondering just what in the heck is wrong with this guy<\/em><\/span>. After all, these Republican appointees to the Supreme Court are supposed to be on our<\/span> side, right<\/span><\/em>?<\/span> They can\u2019t all<\/em><\/span> be David Souter.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It turns out that<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Ann Coulter sniffed another Souter-esque betrayal in the offing ten years ago<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span>:<\/p>\n

After pretending to consider various women and minorities for the Supreme Court these past few weeks, President Bush decided to disappoint all the groups he had just ginned up and nominate a white male.<\/em><\/p>\n

So all we know about him for sure is that he can\u2019t dance and he probably doesn\u2019t know who Jay-Z is.<\/span>\u00a0Other than that<\/span>,\u00a0he is a blank slate<\/span>.\u00a0Tabula rasa.<\/span>\u00a0Big zippo<\/span>.\u00a0Nada<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Oh, yeah \u2026We also<\/span> know he\u2019s argued cases before the Supreme Court.\u00a0Big deal; <\/span>so has Larry Flynt\u2019s attorney<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But unfortunately, other than that that<\/span>, we don\u2019t know much about John Roberts<\/span>.\u00a0Stealth nominees have\u00a0never<\/span>\u00a0turned out to be a pleasant surprise for conservatives.<\/span>\u00a0Never<\/span>.\u00a0Not ever<\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I know it is all the rage in this era of hypersensitive feelings for some conservatives, and almost all moderate Republicans, to bristle at everything Coulter says and be dismissive of her because she has a knack for tossing out an outrageous headline-grabbing comment. Here\u2019s the thing about her: she\u2019s right<\/em><\/span> a lot of the time<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Sure, I\u2019ve got to deduct a lot of points for her flip-flop to become a Romney champion in 2012 but a lot of people were drunk on wishful thinking then (present company excluded). Other than that, she makes a lot of sense.<\/span>\u00a0So maybe pay just a little more attention to her from now on.\u00a0And pray that Antonin Scalia lives to be 148<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

Now we wish the same for Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again: Roberts is yet another reason why, provided you’re a Progressive,\u00a0the Bush family is truly<\/em><\/span> the gift…<\/strong><\/p>\n
