<span style=\"color: #333399;\">Apparently <em>no<\/em>\u2014<em>at least until<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>after 2020<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Two examples summarize why.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cWe don\u2019t need any more brown faces that don\u2019t want to be a brown voice,\u201d <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>said U.S. Representative Ayanna Pressley<\/em><\/span> (D-Mass.), one-quarter of \u201cthe squad\u201d sowing havoc among Democrats in the House. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">\u201cWe don\u2019t need black faces that don\u2019t want to be a black voice.<\/span> We don\u2019t need Muslims that don\u2019t want to be a Muslim voice. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">We don\u2019t need queers that don\u2019t want to be a queer voice.\u201d\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>No bigoted, identity politics <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">there<\/span>!!!<\/em>)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Republican Party<\/em><\/span>, MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes said the other day: \u201cIt must be peacefully, nonviolently, politically <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>destroyed<\/em><\/span> <em>with love, compassion and determination<\/em>, <em>but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">utterly confronted and destroyed<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> That is the only way to break the coalition apart\u2026<span style=\"color: #333399;\"> Not by prying off this or that interest.<\/span> They are in too deep. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>They have shamed themselves too muc<\/em><\/span>h.<\/span> The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>heart<\/em><\/span> of the thing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>must be ripped out<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>The darkness must be banished<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>In other words<\/em><\/span>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>new progressive message<\/em><\/span> is that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we all must vote monolithically and predicated on our superficial appearance, religion, or sexual orientation<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">And the Trump base <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>must be destroyed<\/em><\/span>, <em>though annihilated<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>with \u201clove\u201d and \u201ccompassion<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>All are presently shocked that Donald Trump would dare suggest that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>if anyone did not like the United States<\/em><\/span>, then perhaps he or she <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>might<\/em><\/span>,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><i>of their own volition<\/i><\/span>, consider <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>leaving the country<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Trump apparently was directing his ire exclusively at particular first-generation congresswomen and suggesting that their anti-American furor logically might lead such unhappy U.S. citizens to consider\u00a0<i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">voluntary<\/span>\u00a0<\/i>deportation. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>You know&#8230;like so many Hollywood celebridiots <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">promised after both<\/span> <a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/in-the-know\/in-the-know\/305117-celebs-who-said-theyd-leave-country-if-trump-won\" class=\"broken_link\">Trump<\/a> <span style=\"color: #008000;\">and<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salon.com\/2000\/09\/20\/starexile\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Bush<\/span><\/a><\/span> were elected<\/em>.)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Perhaps <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no<\/em><\/span> politician should <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>ever<\/em><\/span> advise American citizens with whom he disagrees to leave the country. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Trump <\/em><em>did\u00a0not\u00a0suggest<\/em><\/span> mandatory departures\u2014in the manner that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Rep. Jerry Nadler<\/em><\/span> (D-N.Y.) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>had wanted Trump supporter and immigrant<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/ace.mu.nu\/archives\/382358.php\">Sebastian Gorka deported<\/a><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #333399;\">.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Trump was not talking of some grand swap <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>in the explicit fashion that NeverTrumpers have variously wished for the Trump Republican and\/or white working-class base to be forcibly exported and replaced by Latin American border crossers<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">So wrote Bret Stephens of the\u00a0<i>New York Times<\/i>: \u201cSo-called real Americans are screwing up America.<\/span> Maybe <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they should leave<\/em><\/span>, so that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we can replace them with new and better ones: newcomers who are more appreciative of what the United States has to offer, more ambitious for themselves and their children, and more willing to sacrifice for the future<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">In other words, just the kind of people we <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>used to be<\/em><\/span>\u2014when \u2018<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we<\/em><\/span>\u2019 had just come off the boat.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Columnist Max Boot narrowed the theme somewhat <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>by suggesting only Republican lawmakers and grandees should be deported and replaced<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">\u201cIf only we could <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>keep<\/em><\/span> the hard-working <span style=\"color: #008000;\">(though <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">illegal<\/span><\/em>)<\/span> Latin American newcomers <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and deport the contemptible Republican cowards<\/em><\/span>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that<\/em><\/span> would <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>truly<\/em><\/span> enhance America\u2019s greatness,\u201d Boot wrote.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>That\u2019s harsh<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">At least Chris Hayes <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>only wishes to destroy the Trump base with love and compassion in his heart<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>So said<\/em><\/span>, as it turns out, one of the Jihad Squad&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>very own<\/em><\/span> back in 2015:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tlaib.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-71511\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/tlaib.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>But see, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that&#8217;s different<\/em><\/span>, because <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Trump&#8217;s a f*cking racist<\/em><\/span>, <em>along with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">anyone who remotely supports him<\/span><\/em>, <em>so the <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>normal rules of decorum and decency<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" underline;\"><em>don&#8217;t apply<\/em><\/span>!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Case in point: we were fortunate to have recently enjoyed an uncomfortable (high temperatures and humidity) yet enjoyable weekend with old friends on a boating trip to Cambridge, MD.\u00a0 While tying up at the Hyatt resort, we noticed astern a vessel flying a &#8220;Trump 2020&#8221; flag from its rigging.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Later that afternoon, while enjoying a libation on the afterdeck, we overheard a loud exchange on the dock between two parties we couldn&#8217;t see.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Imagine our surprise when we learned the college-age daughter of a couple headed for dinner past the boat flying the Trump banner had flipped a double-bird to the vessel while screaming &#8220;F*ck you, f*ck you, f*ck you!!!&#8221;\u00a0 As the owner and his two guests were then walking up the dock towards his boat, and the only people on board were their three wives, they were &#8220;curious&#8221; as to what had initiated the obscene tirade.\u00a0 Rather than being offered a reasoned response, they were instead met with another foul fusillade of &#8220;F*ck you, you&#8217;re a racist!!!&#8221;, etc., etc., ad nauseam\/ad infinitum.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We were also informed, upon seeing the &#8220;offensive&#8221; emblem while entering the anchorage, the overly-propagandized daughter had informed the harbor master they couldn&#8217;t tie up to the same dock as the rabid racist.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thus does this one incident prove two of our most enduring assertions: (1) the divide currently splintering America is spreading almost exclusively from&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Image-7-23-19-at-11.16-AM-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-71540\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Image-7-23-19-at-11.16-AM-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Image-7-23-19-at-11.16-AM-1.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Image-7-23-19-at-11.16-AM-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Image-7-23-19-at-11.16-AM-1-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>one side<\/em><\/span>; and, (2) these people are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>utterly out of their minds<\/em><\/span> with hatred.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Look, we lived through sixteen years under Clinton (Ruby Ridge, Waco and Monica) and Obama (Fast &amp; Furious, Benghazi, Lois Lerner, &#8220;The Pohlice Acted Stupidly\/If I Had a Son He&#8217;d Look Like Trayvon\/Hands-Up-Don&#8217;t Shoot&#8221;), and we cannot recall a similar expressions of mindless vitriol aimed at anyone sporting a bumper sticker supporting either undeniably partisan President.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/BUT-WAIT-THERES-MORE.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" underline;\"><em>anyone<\/em><\/span> who doesn&#8217;t <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>actively advocate<\/em><\/span> for their amoral, anti-American agenda:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/guybenson\/2019\/07\/22\/humiliation-the-daily-beast-tries-fails-to-attack-mlb-hall-of-famer-mariano-rivera-for-supporting-israel-not-hating-trump-n2550374\"><span Trump<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/rivera.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-71515\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/rivera.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"229\" career<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Rivera kept his political beliefs private<\/em><\/span> (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>this<\/em><\/span> is painted as <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>sinister secrecy<\/em><\/span>), but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>now that he&#8217;s retired<\/em><\/span>, his &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>far-right<\/em><\/span>&#8221; leanings are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>coming to light<\/em><\/span>. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\">And <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>what<\/em><\/span> do those views <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>entail<\/em><\/span>?<\/span> \u00a0He&#8217;s a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Christian<\/em><\/span> who <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>loves Israel<\/em><\/span>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Over the past three years, [Rivera has] served at the pleasure of a racist president, taken part in thinly veiled propaganda on behalf of a far-right government in Israel, and gotten chummy with outright bigots and apocalyptic loons.<\/span>\u00a0None of this will be inscribed on his Hall of Fame plaque. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">It should, even if much of the sports world would very much like to pretend none of it exists.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>&#8220;<em>It should<\/em>&#8221; mar his legacy, this writer asserts. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\">It, in fact, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>should not<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> \u00a0If you&#8217;re wondering about the relevant details, Rivera &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>served at the pleasure<\/em><\/span>&#8221; of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>President Trump<\/em><\/span> by&#8230;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>participating in a<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/mlb\/2017\/03\/30\/former-yankees-closer-mariano-rivera-trump-opioids\/99816066\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">nonpartisan listening session<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0<strong>on combatting the opioid crisis.<\/strong> \u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">monster<\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><strong>He&#8217;s also spoken out about his ardent support of Israel, the only Jewish state on earth, a conviction informed by his Christian faith. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">The &#8216;far-right&#8217; government mentioned is the Netanyahu government, style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\">it was all captured on videotape<\/span><\/a><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The act raised the stakes in the regime\u2019s confrontation with the West. After the last round, when the Iranians shot down a U.S. drone, President Trump ordered a retaliatory strike that he abruptly cancelled, citing his fears of disproportionate casualties. <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Our <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>natural<\/em><\/span> instinct would be to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>hit Iran hard<\/em><\/span> for its depredations and to<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em> establish a deterrent against such attacks before they get worse<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> But in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>this<\/em><\/span> case, Iran <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>clearly wants to provoke a reaction<\/em><\/span>, which suggests the administration\u2019s more cautious, \u201crope-a-dope\u201d approach <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>may be the right one<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Skeptics doubted that the administration\u2019s unilateral sanctions could truly bite after the nuclear deal opened Iran for business with Europe. <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>They were wrong<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> The oil embargo and banking sanctions, imposed after Trump pulled out of the deal, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>have been cratering the Iranian economy<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">The regime\u2019s aggressions <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>are an attempt to find a way out of the economic punishment<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;It is quite possible that Iran considers its provocations a prelude to another nuclear negotiation. underline;\"><em>But the regime has a strong incentive to try to wait Trump out and hope the election of a pro-deal Democrat delivers what it wants without any more trouble<\/em><\/span>. <span
