Assuming the president stops shooting himself in the foot, he will be a formidable opponent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>America<\/em> <em>needs two viable parties<\/em><\/span> competing for many of the same voters to make our system of checks and balances a governing reality.<\/strong> <\/span><strong>These days, the Democratic Party is veering too far left under the leadership of arrogant coastal elites who are hostile to free speech, religion and the everyday concerns of working and middle-class citizens<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To which we can only respond, &#8220;<em>So <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">what<\/span><\/em>?!?&#8221;\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Seriously<\/em><\/span>, if the Dimocrats <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>want<\/em><\/span> to walk the Socialist plank, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Conservatives<\/em><\/span> should be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>more than happy<\/em><\/span> to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>provide them the board<\/em><\/span>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.\u00a0 Though <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/us-ambassador-testifies-trump-made-ukraine-aid-contingent-on-biden-investigations\/?utm_source=email&amp;utm_medium=breaking&amp;utm_campaign=newstrack&amp;utm_term=18404501\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; When debating gun control, we\u2019re told that our children\u2019s lives are at stake and that if we don\u2019t agree with the other side, we have blood on our hands.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Quite literally,<\/em><\/span> <em>the leaders of <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>both sides<\/em><\/span><em> of the political spectrum <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>currently\u00a0contend<\/em><\/span><em> the <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>other side is trying to destroy the country<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yet, the claims of\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>one side<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;\"><em>remain<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>essentially correct<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 Sorry, but we don&#8217;t simply <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>object<\/em><\/span>\u00a0to Mr. Geraghty&#8217;s attempt at equivalency between the goals of Socialists and Conservatives&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bOnRHAyXqYY?start=9&amp;end=10&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Think about it: is there ANYTHING Trump and his Trumpeteers envisage which would (again, this is a less-than-complete list):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Socialize the nation&#8217;s healthcare system in its entirety.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Overturn the protections of the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">1st Amendment<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Eliminate the protections of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>2nd Amendment<\/em><\/span>&#8230;which is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>only certain safeguard of the 1st<\/em><\/span><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Use unelected judges as de facto legislators.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Unnecessarily revamp the global energy model.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Surrender global hegemony to the forces of Communism.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Not &#8220;no&#8221;, but &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>HELL NO<\/em><\/span>!!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Again, we have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>never defended<\/em><\/span> The Donald&#8217;s shortcomings; rather we take the position we set forth in the meme above: he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>remains infinitely preferable<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>all possible<\/em><\/span>\u00a0alternatives!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since we&#8217;re on the subject of lying Leftists, courtesy of the <em>WSJ<\/em> via\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Jeff Foutch, John Lott offers a\u00a0set of startling statistics you won&#8217;t get from the MSM:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"wsj-article-headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/mexicos-soaring-murder-rate-proves-gun-control-is-deadly-11571696723\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #008000; text-decoration: underline;\">Mexico\u2019s Soaring Murder Rate Proves Gun Control Is Deadly<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"sub-head\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/mexicos-soaring-murder-rate-proves-gun-control-is-deadly-11571696723\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Its laws are among the world\u2019s least permissive. Mexico. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">For the first nine months of 2019, Mexico had 25,890 murders\u2014almost six times as many murders per 100,000 people as in the U.S.<\/span> Does <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Mexico<\/em><\/span> need <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>stricter gun control<\/em><\/span>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: underline;\"><em>Its<\/em><\/span> <em>gun laws are among the<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>least permissive in the world<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong> <strong>For decades Mexico has had <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>only one gun store<\/em><\/span> in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>entire country<\/em><\/span>, a military-run establishment in Mexico City. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">The store\u2019s prices are very expensive, and the most powerful rifle that you can buy there is a .22 caliber.<\/span> There\u2019s no \u201cgun-show loophole\u201d\u2014any person-to-person firearm transfers are\u00a0illegal\u00a0without an \u201cextraordinary\u201d permit that never seems to be issued. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">One may sell a gun only to the government, and then the government has to decide to sell it to someone else.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Getting <em>permission to purchase a gun<\/em> is a feat in itself. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Background checks take <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>six months<\/em><\/span> to complete and require fingerprints and an evaluation of the buyer\u2019s employment history.<\/span> Only <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>1%<\/em><\/span> of Mexicans possess a license to own a firearm. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">When I testified before the Mexican Senate a few years ago, <em>members of the chamber<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>who have faced death threats<\/em><\/span>, told me that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>even they found it impossible to get a concealed-handgun permit<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>It wasn\u2019t always this way<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Mexicans <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>had<\/em><\/span><em> a right to own guns <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>until 1971<\/em><\/span>, when the constitution was amended to give the federal government total control over firearm access.<\/span> <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">In 1972 the government passed strict gun-control measures<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Now Mexicans can\u2019t transport guns outside their homes without a permit from the Secretariat of National Defense<\/em><\/span>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>even if the gun is lawfully registered, unloaded, in a locked container, and going from one residence to another<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Mexico\u2019s murder rate is about twice what it was in 1972<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong> <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Mexican officials blame America, with its relatively strong gun rights.<\/span> But the fully automatic guns often used to commit murders in Mexico are strictly limited on U.S. soil. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">Between 2005 and 2014, more than 13,000 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>grenades<\/em><\/span> were seized by the Mexican government, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and these simply can\u2019t be bought in the U.S<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span> A 2016 U.S. Government Accountability Office\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong><em><a class=\"icon none broken_link\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gao.gov\/assets\/680\/674570.pdf?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0complained of limited collaboration with Mexican authorities on tracing guns.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>So <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>where do<\/em><\/span> Mexican criminals get their guns? <span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u201cMost cartels buy in bulk, and the weapons are coming from places like Nicaragua and other South American countries.<\/span> Also Asia and some from the Middle East,\u201d a Tijuana-based police authority who requested anonymity recently\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><a class=\"icon none broken_link\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/mexico-guns-black-market-tepito?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Fox News.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>\u201cThese kinds of guns\u2014the auto versions of these guns\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they are not coming from El Paso<\/em><\/span>,\u201d Ed Head, a firearms instructor in Arizona who spent 24 years as a U.S. Border Patrol agent, told Fox News. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cThey are coming from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>other sources<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> They are brought in from Guatemala. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">They are brought in from places like China.<\/span> They are being diverted from the military. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">But you <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>don\u2019t<\/em><\/span> get these guns from the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">U.S<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Strict gun-control laws<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>high homicide rates<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a class=\"icon none\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/crimeresearch.org\/2019\/01\/responding-voxs-popular-americas-unique-gun-violence-problem-explained-17-maps-charts\/?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">often go together<\/a><\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Other developed countries that fit this pattern include Brazil and Russia.<\/span> If you look across all countries or all developed countries, the ones with the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>highest gun-ownership rates<\/em><\/span> tend to have the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>lowest homicide rates<\/em><\/span> and the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a class=\"icon none\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/crimeresearch.org\/2018\/11\/new-cprc-research-mass-public-shootings-are-much-higher-in-the-rest-of-the-world-and-increasing-much-more-quickly\/?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lowest murder rates from mass shootings<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Gun laws<\/em><\/span>, <em>no matter <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">how draconian<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>don\u2019t solve crime problems<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>It\u2019s pretty simple<\/em><\/span>\u2014<span style=\"text-decoration: search, Harris was hired as the city\u2019s highly anticipated \u201chomelessness czar.\u201d <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Many city council members, including Jimmy Flannigan, set high expectations for the position, looking to Harris to work towards solving the homelessness problem<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Homelessness in Austin <em>has steadily been on the rise for the past several years<\/em>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">but<\/span> the situation <span underline;\"><em>Biological-male<\/em><\/span> cyclist Rachel McKinnon won the women\u2019s world championship on Saturday, and set a women\u2019s world record in the qualifying event.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">McKinnon, a Canadian philosophy professor at the College of Charleston, won the same event in 2018.<\/span><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong> In a Friday interview with Sky News, McKinnon said that attempts to level the playing field for women\u2019s sports by discriminating against transgender athletes was the equivalent of \u201cdenying their human rights.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u201cAll my medical records say female,\u201d McKinnon said.<\/strong> <\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>(<em>But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">NOT<\/span> your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BIRTH CERTIFICATE<\/span>, boyo!<\/em>)<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>\u201cMy <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>doctor<\/em><\/span> treats me as a female person, my <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>racing license<\/em><\/span> says female, but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>people who oppose my existence still want to think of me as male<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<\/strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>So, if we want to say, that I believe you\u2019re a woman for all of society, except for this massive central part that is sport, then <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that\u2019s not fair<\/em><\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Those <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">last three words<\/span> need to be read in the voice of a petulant, raging&#8230;well&#8230;in a voice like that of <a href=\"https:\/\/dirtyharryonlocation.wordpress.com\/select-locations\/the-cross\/my-friends-call-me-alice\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\">Alice\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>in Dirty Harry<\/em><\/span>.)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>Victoria Hood, <em>a former cycling champion and manager of a British all-female cycling team<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>challenged McKinnon<\/em><\/span>, telling Sky that \u201c<em>it is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not complicated<\/span>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">science is there<\/span> and it says <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">that it is unfair<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">The male body, which has been through male puberty, still retains its advantage, that doesn\u2019t go away.<\/span> I have sympathy with them. <em>They have a right to do sport<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">but not a right to go into any category they want<\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>On Saturday, McKinnon issued a press release denouncing Hood for having \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>an irrational fear of trans women<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><strong>After the victory, McKinnon took to Twitter to challenge critics.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/insanity.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" underline;\">stronger competition<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">If you win because bigotry got your competition banned\u2026 you\u2019re a loser.\u201d\u2019<\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which of course fairly <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>screams<\/em><\/span> the question the Press <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>should<\/em><\/span> have been asking McKinnon: &#8220;If &#8216;real champions want stronger competition&#8217;, how come you&#8217;re not competing against <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>men<\/em><\/span>?!?&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Seems to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>us<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Mr<\/em><\/span>.
