text-decoration: underline;\">Mexico&#8217;s Lopez Obrador doubles<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\"> down on \u2018hugs, not bullets\u2019<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000; Adam Schiff (D., Calif.<\/em><\/span>). <span style=\"color: #800080;\">Mr. Schiff <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>publicly denied that such consultation had occurred<\/em><\/span> but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>later acknowledged<\/em><\/span> the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>fact as his falsehood was exposed<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Usually <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>news<\/em><\/span> organizations like <em>ABC<\/em> and <em>CBS<\/em> at least <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>pretend to spend their days trying to report previously non-public information<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">But they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>recently<\/em><\/span> decided <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not to report<\/em><\/span> the name of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>federal \u201cwhistleblower<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> Ironically, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>entire impeachment case<\/em><\/span> hinges on an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>assumed political motivation by Mr. Trump<\/em><\/span> for comments on a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>phone call that were not illegal<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">Yet <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>by maintaining a blackout on the identity of the \u201cwhistleblower<\/em><\/span>,\u201d news outlets <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>are impeding the public\u2019s ability to learn about the possible political motivations of Mr. Trump\u2019s accuser<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Not that the public can\u2019t make a pretty good guess, given this January 2017\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a class=\"icon none\" style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkSZaidEsq\/status\/826262311560216578?s=20&amp;mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweet<\/a><\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span>from the alleged whistleblower\u2019s lawyer, Mark Zaid:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><em>#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em>#impeachment will follow ultimately. #lawyers<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>And then there\u2019s this Zaid instant classic from July\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a class=\"icon none\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkSZaidEsq\/status\/881327979917438976?s=20&amp;mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of 2017<\/a>:<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em>It\u2019s <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">very<\/span><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #333399;\"> scary.<\/span> We <\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">will<\/span><em> get rid of him, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #333399;\">this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters<\/span>. We <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">have<\/span> to.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>But it seems that the sudden reverence for the imagined Constitutional right of an alleged whistleblower to remain anonymous <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>doesn\u2019t extend to people releasing information from non-Trump organizations like ABC and CBS<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">In fact <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>these organizations<\/em><\/span> have joined <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>together<\/em><\/span> to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>punish<\/em><\/span> disclosure and forcefully deter <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>any future whistleblowing<\/em> <\/span>within their <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>news divisions<\/em><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>So much for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>protecting whistleblowers<\/em><\/span>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As G. Trevor noted, &#8220;What is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>incredible<\/em><\/span> is that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>neither this nor the Weinstein stories<\/em><\/span> met <em>ABC<\/em>\u2019s \u201ctough journalistic standards\u201d to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>report on<\/em><\/span>, yet they had NO PROBLEM running the wild accusation that Brett Kavanaugh was a serial rapist on page one!\u00a0 No, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they\u2019re<\/em><\/span> not biased, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>right<\/em><\/span>?&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>How many stories have these lying a*sholes published about Trump based on the word of ONE ANONYMOUS source which turned out to be TOTALLY WRONG?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ABC<\/em> must think we&#8217;re <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>all stupid<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since we&#8217;re on the subject, writing at <em>NRO<\/em>, Kevin Williamson records how&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<header class=\"article-header article-header--full\" data-component=\"articleHeader\">\n<div class=\"article-header__inner\">\n<h1 class=\"article-header__title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2019\/11\/elizabeth-warren-thinks-voters-are-stupid\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080; text-decoration: underline;\"><em>forever<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span> As often is the case when we are talking about the federal budget, the numbers sound incomprehensible to many people: millions, billions, trillions, squidillions, whatever. <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">To put that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>$2 trillion a year<\/em><\/span> into perspective, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a comparison<\/em><\/span>: That is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>more money<\/em><\/span> than the federal government collects annually in\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">all<\/span>\u00a0of the personal and corporate income taxes <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>combined<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">Put <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>another way<\/em><\/span>, even <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>if<\/em><\/span> the federal government <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>were able<\/em><\/span> to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>successfully<\/em> <em>double<\/em><\/span> the revenue it gets <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>from personal and corporate income taxes<\/em><\/span>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>additional<\/em><\/span> revenue <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>would not pay for Warren\u2019s health-care plan<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">.<\/span>..&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Simply put<\/em><\/span>&#8230;which is the only way the vast majority of Progressives can understand <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>anything<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sIJBUZm1HoY?start=72&amp;end=75&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Why?!?\u00a0 Because&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>In fiscal year 2019, all federal tax revenue from all sources combined amounted to $3.4 trillion. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">If a Warren administration and a Democratic Congress were successful in raising Americans\u2019 taxes by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>50 percent<\/em><\/span>, the extra revenue\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>still<\/em><\/span>\u00a0wouldn\u2019t be enough to fund Warren\u2019s health-care program.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>And <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>never mind<\/em><\/span>, for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the moment<\/em><\/span>, that there are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>lots of things<\/em><\/span> Warren and the other Democrats want to spend money on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>besides<\/em><\/span> expanding Medicare: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>trillions of dollars<\/em><\/span> in subsidies for college students and student-loan forgiveness, alternative-energy subsidies, etc. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">Warren proposes the better part of another trillion dollars a year in new spending on top of the $2 trillion a year for expanding Medicare.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>To <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>pay<\/em><\/span> for that, she would have to <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">raise<\/span> federal tax revenue by around <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">80 percent<\/span><\/em> \u2014 and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that<\/em><\/span> still would do <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>nothing<\/em><\/span> about the trillion-dollar deficits we <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>already have<\/em><\/span> or the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>unfunded liabilities of Social Security and other entitlement programs<\/em><\/span> that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>already are piling up<\/em><\/span> even faster than <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the official national debt<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>THAT<\/em><\/span>&#8216;s why!!!\u00a0 In other words&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>It\u2019s a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>fairy tale<\/em><\/span> \u2014 or, properly understood, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a lie<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>&#8230;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Give me the power <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">now<\/span> \u2014 we\u2019ll work out the details <span <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>through his semen<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span> <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>According to the case report,\u00a0published in the American Journal of Medicine, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shortly after they had finished<\/em><\/span> having sex the 46-year-old woman <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>began complaining of dizziness, diarrhea\u00a0and itchiness on her hands and feet<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">About an hour or two later, she was brought to the emergency room where it was determined that she was exposed to penicillin through her husband\u2019s semen. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u201cHer husband had been undergoing treatment for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>infective endocarditis at home with parenteral nafcillin<\/em><\/span>,\u201d according to the case report.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wC871hNBig4?start=72&amp;end=74&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080;\">\u201cOf importance, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>she reported a penicillin allergy<\/em><\/span>, having developed urticarial as a child after exposure to the antibiotic.<\/span> She had not been exposed to penicillin <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>since then<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">She was administered antibiotics while at the hospital, and 24 hours later her symptoms resolved. <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong>She was discharged <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>with an epinephrine pen<\/em><\/span>, and \u201cinstructed to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>abstain from sexual intercourse with her husband<\/em><\/span> until at least one\u00a0week following his completion of antibiotics, given the high likelihood of recurrence of her symptoms following coitus.\u201d<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports the woman, having just returned home, had to use the epi pen when she experienced a similar episode while standing in front of the stove remain
