we can&#8217;t <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>use<\/em><\/span>, as <em>FOX<\/em> reports how, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>supposedly<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/technology\/pentagon-tests-banned-ballistic-missile-over-pacific-ocean\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #808000; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>The Pentagon on Thursday flight-tested a missile that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>had been banned under a treaty<\/em><\/span> that the United States and Russia <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>abandoned last summer<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Some<\/em><\/span> U.S. arms control advocates said <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the test risks an unnecessary arms race with Moscow<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two thoughts come to mind: first, if the U.S. and Russia <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>abandoned<\/em><\/span> the treaty <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>last summer<\/em><\/span>, then the missile <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">isn&#8217;t<\/span> &#8220;banned&#8221;<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is it<\/em><\/span>?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Second, for those too young to have personally witnessed the results of the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>last<\/em><\/span> arms race in which Moscow engaged the United States, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and<\/em><\/span> which the &#8220;arms control advocates&#8221; of the day <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>also<\/em><\/span> decried, Ronaldus Maximus only ended up freeing Eastern Europe&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GCO9BYCGNeY\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;from the very totalitarian tyranny the Dimocratic Party wants to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>re<\/em><\/span>impose on America today.\u00a0 Where <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>would<\/em><\/span> we be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>without advocates<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>or experts<\/em><\/span>?\u00a0 In most cases, significantly for the better!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since we&#8217;re on the subject of advocates we&#8217;d be better off without, d<\/strong><strong>uring Saturday&#8217;s Army-Navy game, a number of Falcon fans and alums took exception the following characterization&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/army-navy.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-75727\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/army-navy.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/army-navy.png 400w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/army-navy-293x300.png 293w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;is never mentioned during Air Force&#8217;s annual contests with the Black Knights and Midshipmen.\u00a0 Point taken: Air Force grads ARE in fact willing to die for their country, at least the limited few who actually pass in harm&#8217;s way.\u00a0 Still, the fact remains, unlike their Air Force counterparts, Navy, Marine Corps and Army personnel generally don&#8217;t cry as they do it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And for the record, gaining a new, unneeded, and costly separate branch of the DoD in exchange for 12 weeks of <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">paid<\/span><\/em> family leave for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>already grossly overcompensated federal employees<\/em><\/span> isn&#8217;t just a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>BAD DEAL<\/em><\/span>, it&#8217;s a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>HORRIBLE DEAL<\/em><\/span>!!!\u00a0 And it&#8217;s what happens when you let your clueless kids set government policy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Now, here&#8217;s <em>The Gouge<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of the clueless, we lead off the Monday edition with a few observations on a <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/jessica-tarlov-trump-should-be-impeached-republicans-who-blindly-support-him-are-a-profile-in-cowardice\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>recent commentary at FOX News<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/span> by one Jessica Tarlov:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The evidence in favor of impeachment <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>seems overwhelming to me<\/em><\/span>. And President Trump\u2019s misconduct <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>seems a lot more serious<\/em><\/span> than President Clinton\u2019s.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Clinton <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>lied about sex<\/em><\/span> \u2013 but his conduct didn\u2019t endanger our national security or threaten the system of government established in our Constitution.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">How can anyone argue with a straight face that Trump didn\u2019t obstruct Congress to block it from carrying out its constitutional oversight responsibility?<\/span>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>So much educated idiocy and disinformation, so little time.\u00a0 First, Ms. Tarlov&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>personal opinion<\/em><\/span><em>\u00a0<\/em>the evidence in favor of impeachment &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>seems<\/em><\/span><em>\u00a0<\/em>overwhelming&#8221;, and Trump&#8217;s misconduct &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>seems<\/em><\/span> a lot more serious&#8221; than Clinton&#8217;s (and her exalted status as a <em>FOX<\/em> contributor and\u00a0PhD in political science and government notwithstanding&#8230;after all, the Greenwich Village idiot is a Nobel Laureate!), any number of people far more knowledgeable on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the facts<\/em><\/span>\u00a0than she feel quite the opposite, Kimberly Strassel and Andy McCarthy among them.\u00a0 Then again, she has the once-obscure New Jersey judge Andrew Napolitano squarely in her corner.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Second, for the record, Clinton <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>didn&#8217;t just lie<\/em><em>\u00a0about sex<\/em><\/span>, he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>lied about sex<\/em> <em>under oath<\/em><\/span> (Jessica, you may not have picked this up at Bryn Mawr or London, but that&#8217;s called\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>perjury<\/em><\/span>!), he urged <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>his secretary to lie about him having sex<\/em><\/span> (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that<\/em><\/span>&#8216;s called\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>suborning<\/em><\/span> perjury <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and<\/em><\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>obstruction of justice<\/em><\/span>!), and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the sex he in fact had<\/em><\/span> was with a subordinate IN THE OVAL OFFICE, an act which would have immediately caused the forced removal of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>any other CEO of any company or organization on the planet<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 Moreover, he perjured himself, suborned perjury <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and<\/em><\/span> obstructed justice in the course of a lawsuit filed by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>another subordinate<\/em><\/span> he&#8217;d <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>sexually assaulted<\/em><\/span> while governor of Arkansas.\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Adulterous husbands<\/em><\/span> lie <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>to their wives<\/em><\/span> about sex, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>NOT<\/em><\/span>\u00a0the President of the United States&#8230;and NOT <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>under oath<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Finally, does Tarlov have even the faintest idea<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/trending\/9-times-the-obama-administration-fought-subpoenas-or-blocked-officials-from-testifying-before-congress\/\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>how many times the Obama Administration refused to respond to Congressional subpoenas<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/span>, beginning with <em>Fast &amp; Furious<\/em>, the IRS targeting of Conservative groups and on through the Iran nuclear deal?!?\u00a0 Likely not, or, assuming she&#8217;s honest, she wouldn&#8217;t have termed the normal conflict between the Executive and Legislative branches obstruction of justice.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Need we add Ukraine <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>got<\/em><\/span> their military aid from The Donald&#8230;after <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>8-years<\/em><\/span> of Obama refusing to provide it; so how exactly was national security at all threatened by Trump?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And if we&#8217;re going to talk threats to our system of government, we frankly cannot think of any greater than a President <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>lying under oath<\/em><\/span>, let alone <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>urging others<\/em><\/span> to do so&#8230;unless of course it&#8217;s a President using the power of the federal government to target political opponents (the IRS scandal) or the results of an upcoming election (the DOJ\/FBI), or any greater threat to national security than a Secretary of State using an illegal, unsecured email server!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>That being said, we&#8217;re no great fan of The Donald; but until Republicans run a candidate with cajones, or the Dimocrats move dramatically to the right, he&#8217;s the only sensible alternative.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/john-bolton-mick-mulvaney-senate-democrats-impeachment-trial-wish-list\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>given the latest from Chuck Schumer<\/em><\/span><\/a>, it&#8217;s no wonder &#8220;chutzpah&#8221; is a Yiddish term.\u00a0 What a nebbish&#8230;or perhaps more accurately, a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>putz<\/em><\/span>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Next up, courtesy of George Lawlor, just his job at the Dunkin\u2019, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and later served four days in jail for disorderly conduct<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p
