width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Biden\u2019s wife and daughter <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>did<\/em><\/span>, in fact, die in a car wreck. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>That<\/em><\/span> is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>true<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> It is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not true<\/span><\/em> that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the driver of the other car was drunk, that he had been drinking, or that there was any reason to believe he was drunk or had been drinking<\/em><\/span> \u2014 or even that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>he<\/em><\/span> was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>at fault<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">The late Mrs. Biden \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>drove into the path of [the] tractor-trailer<\/em><\/span>,\u201d the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>police report says<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Biden<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>like every other third-rate ward-heeler of his ilk<\/em><\/span>, thinks and speaks only in terms of good guys and bad guys, white hats and black hats \u2014 and if something bad happens to good people, then it must be because somebody in a black hat did something nefarious. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>driver<\/em><\/span> of that truck <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>went to his grave haunted by Biden\u2019s lies<\/em><\/span>, to the point where <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>his children were forced to beg the vice president to stop defaming their late father<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>The casual cruelty with which Biden is willing to subordinate the lives of ordinary people to his political ambitions<\/em><\/span> \u2014 for the sake of a petty tear-jerker line in one of his occasionally plagiarized stump speeches \u2014 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is remarkable<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that\u2019s Joe Biden<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Just a regular guy from Scranton who takes the train to work<\/em><\/span> (with a 20-man security detail swarming the platform at every stop and the aisles roped off to separate him from the riffraff, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>as I have seen firsthand<\/em><\/span>) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>whose kids ended up growing vastly wealthy from unpredictable business opportunities to which they had no especial claim beyond their proximity to political power<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Biden was protected by the Democratic political machine and then by Senate seniority; later, he was protected by the Obama administration and by protectors of the Obama administration.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>And so he continues doing the same things he always has done<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Some of you may remember that Biden \u2014 who got into trouble for plagiarism back in the 1980s, when I was in eighth grade (and who already was running for president way back then) \u2014 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>was pillaging Margaret Thatcher\u2019s speeches<\/em><\/span> (and Neil Kinnock\u2019s, too, not that anybody remembers him) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>to flesh out one of his own orations<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>That<\/em><\/span> was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>embarrassing<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">What is [more] embarrassing is that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>he is still doing it<\/em><\/span>, as the\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/biden-rally-texas-buttigieg-klobuchar-endorsement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">will be the one who leads<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u201d <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>his gun-control effort<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Hell yes, we\u2019re going to take your AR-15<\/em><\/span>,\u201d O\u2019Rourke, a former Texas congressman and Democratic presidential candidate himself, famously promised in a debate in September. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">They are \u201cweapons of war, designed to kill people efficiently on a battlefield,\u201d he warned.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>People need only look at Virginia to see what Democrats have in store for the nation at large<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The state has recently enacted many new measures, including Red Flag laws, gun-lock requirements, a one-handgun-a-month purchase limit, and costly background checks on the private transfer of guns.<\/span> Virginia has even given its local governments the green light to pass their own, more extreme gun-control laws. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>In a matter of just a few months, Virginia is going from a gun-friendly state to one of the most restrictive states<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> That will make it hard for people to exercise their right to self-defense.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Only the courts<\/em><\/span> will be able to rein in these state gun-control laws.<\/span> Trump\u2019s federal judicial appointments <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>have made a difference<\/em><\/span>, but they have only <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>just reached an approximate political balance<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Republicans hold a nominal 5-to-4 majority on the Supreme Court, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>but John Roberts is not a dependable vote on gun-control issues<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Or just about <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">any other issue<\/span>!<\/em>)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The Supreme Court hears fewer than one out of every thousand cases decided by the circuit courts, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>those courts<\/em><\/span> are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>equally divided<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Democratic judges hold the majority in circuit courts in 24 states, plus the District of Columbia, while 26 states have Republican majorities.<\/span> Only a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>second Trump term<\/em><\/span> in office could <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>really tilt the balance of the federal judiciary<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Biden<\/em><\/span> was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Barack Obama\u2019s point person<\/em><\/span> in his push for gun control.<\/span> That <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>wasn\u2019t by accident<\/em><\/span>.
