It’s Monday, April 6th, 2020…but before beginning, we offer yet another example of the execrable result of contemporary journalistic standards mixed with increasingly self-absorbed subjects, as the misnamed Intelligencer<\/em> gives credence to…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Matthew Broderick’s sister claims she got preferential coronavirus treatment: \u2018I feel evil for saying that<\/span><\/a>\u2019<\/span><\/h1>\n

“Matthew Broderick’s sister,\u00a0Rector Janet Broderick<\/em><\/span>,\u00a0is opening up about her experience obtaining\u00a0coronavirus\u00a0care. Janet recently spoke to\u00a0New York Magazine’s Intelligencer<\/em><\/span>, where she opened up about her scary encounter with the novel virus that put her in the intensive care unit.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After suffering symptoms, Janet said she went to the hospital, where it took five hours to obtain a coronavirus test<\/span><\/em>, which was administered before her symptoms worsened, including a high fever and low level of oxygen. While she said she’s now<\/em><\/span> “totally getting better<\/em><\/span>,” she felt<\/em><\/span> she was “close to death<\/em><\/span>” while in the ICU, even planning her own funeral<\/span><\/em> and video chatting with her children<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Janet claimed<\/em><\/span>\u00a0her diligent hospital care may<\/em><\/span> be due to her being the sister of Matthew Broderick<\/em><\/span>, star of stage and<\/em><\/span> screen. Asked by the outlet: “Did you get preferential treatment<\/em><\/span> being a religious leader<\/em> and<\/em> Matthew Broderick\u2019s sister<\/em><\/span>?” Janet responded: “Yes<\/em><\/span>, but I feel evil for saying that<\/em><\/span>.”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“I think I\u2019m absolute living proof<\/em><\/span> that this system is completely corrupt<\/em><\/span>,” Janet stated, before further claiming:\u00a0“My GP didn\u2019t know<\/em><\/span> I was Matthew Broderick\u2019s sister and didn\u2019t care very much<\/em><\/span>. But as soon as I got ahold of the guy at the hospital who knew who Matthew was<\/em><\/span>, I<\/em><\/span>\u00a0was given the name of the head<\/em><\/span> of the emergency room.”<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Janet explained that she believes<\/em><\/span> the people she works with would not have been given the name of the head of the emergency room at all<\/em><\/span> —\u00a0or would be ignored if they had<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“I think there is no question and it breaks my heart,” she said of receiving preferential treatment.<\/span>\u00a0“My God, I hope this causes us to take some kind of look at how we are handling medicine in this country<\/em><\/span>. Wouldn\u2019t that<\/span><\/em> be a wonderful thing<\/em><\/span>?<\/span><\/strong><\/span>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Sorry Janet, but all this only causes us to take any kind of look at is your status as a self-impressed, undoubted douche nozzle\u00a0<\/strong>who’s somehow come to believe anyone other than you<\/em><\/span> gives a flying fart about who your brother might be<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0 Hells bells, every Google<\/em> search result about you says the same thing<\/em><\/span>:\u00a0Janet Broderick Kraft<\/em><\/span>\u00a0is an Episcopal priest who is best known for being the sister of<\/em><\/span> American actor Matthew\u00a0Broderick<\/span>.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In other words…<\/strong><\/p>\n
