width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>You can access the entire interview <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/seu_C08yAAM\"><em>here<\/em><\/a><\/span>, but we&#8217;ll give the <em>Cliff Notes<\/em> version of Biden&#8217;s assertions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I didn&#8217;t do it<\/em><\/span>, and you must believe me because,&#8230;well&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I&#8217;m me<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>There&#8217;s no record of a complaint<\/em><\/span>, and you must believe me because,&#8230;well&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I&#8217;m me<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I&#8217;m not a hypocrite: my circumstances are totally different from Kavanaugh&#8217;s<\/em><\/span>\u00a0because,&#8230; well,&#8230;I say so, and you must believe me because,&#8230;well&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I&#8217;m me<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>My files can&#8217;t be searched because they contain classified information of my conversations with Barack<\/em><\/span>,\u00a0and you must believe me because,&#8230;well&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I&#8217;m me<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Yeah,&#8230;we can only imagine the substance of those &#8220;classified conversations&#8221;:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/balls2.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-80448\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/balls2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"441\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/balls2.jpeg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/balls2-286x300.jpeg 286w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Joe&#8217;s evasive &#8220;explanations&#8221; recall his misleading response to a question Tom Brokaw posed in a 2008 interview, which provided a preview of an issue which continues to dog him to this day:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8HFyQYdlnsM?start=297&amp;end=394&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Two thoughts come to mind: (1) Brokaw should have pointed out $140,000 in New York City doesn&#8217;t go nearly as far as $100,000 in Delaware; and (2) Hunter&#8217;s career has demonstrated, despite having graduated from Yale Law, any success he&#8217;s enjoyed has been as a result of his father&#8217;s political connections.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, as a forward from Bill Meisen informs us, a team of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/biden-operatives-accessed-secret-senate-records-at-university-of-delaware-report-says\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>Biden operatives accessed his secret Senate records at the University of Delaware prior to its closing in Mid-March<\/em><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">.\u00a0 Guess there&#8217;s no chance they were in there to locate and eliminate any record of Reade&#8217;s complaint!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Again, two thoughts arise: first, if Biden&#8217;s records <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>truly<\/em><\/span> contain <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>classified<\/em><\/span> material, on what basis would the University of Delaware or Biden campaign staffers have access to them?\u00a0 We strongly doubt any possess the necessary security clearances, let alone the critical &#8220;need to know&#8221;; s<\/strong><strong>econd, we&#8217;d put the likelihood of Obama entrusting Joe Biden with any truly sensitive information on a par with us winning the lottery&#8230;without buying a ticket.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In any event, if his minders believe the <em>Morning Joe<\/em> interview helped the increasingly-befuddled Biden, they&#8217;re on dope&#8230;in addition to backing one.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>As an aside, The Boss mentioned this reminds him of when\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2005\/apr\/4\/20050404-084700-5791r\/\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Sandy Burglar<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0was caught stealing and destroying highly-sensitive evidence from National Archives which highlighted the Clinton Administration&#8217;s ineptitude anti-terror efforts.\u00a0 Rather than serving time, Berger was simply assessed a fine.\u00a0 What are odds <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>any of us<\/em><\/span> could <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>steal and destroy<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>anything<\/em><\/span> from the National Archives, then <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>lie to police<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not spend time in stir<\/em><\/span>&#8230;let alone have the President of the United States find the deed funny?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Since we&#8217;re on the subject of criminal subterfuge originating in the Oval Office, the <em>WSJ<\/em>&#8216;s Kim Strassel weighs in on&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"wsj-article-headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><a style=\"color: #333399;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-fbis-flynn-outrage-11588288438?mod=opinion_lead_pos8\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The FBI\u2019s Flynn Outrage<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"sub-head\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-fbis-flynn-outrage-11588288438?mod=opinion_lead_pos8\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">New documents shock the conscience and demonstrate the need for accountability<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/aaaaa.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-80453\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/aaaaa.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/aaaaa.png 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/aaaaa-300x226.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The newest Federal Bureau of Investigation documents in the case of former White House national security adviser Mike Flynn are stunning in themselves. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">But the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>totality<\/em><\/span> of Mr. Flynn\u2019s treatment <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shocks the conscience<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The FBI exists to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>investigate<\/em><\/span> crimes, not to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>create<\/em><\/span> them. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Some might add this shameful behavior to the<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em> long list of the FBI\u2019s \u201ccollusion\u201d malfeasance<\/em><\/span>: the surveillance-court abuse, the Steele dossier, the leaks. But the Flynn case is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>something different<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> This <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>isn\u2019t<\/em><\/span> the FBI <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>playing fast and loose with sources or the courts<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">This is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>law enforcement abusing its most tyrannical power<\/em><\/span>\u2014to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>strip citizens of their reputations, their livelihoods and their liberty<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The FBI\u2019s treatment of Mr. Flynn lives up to Americans\u2019 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>worst fears<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Attorney General William Barr was right to order a review of the case.<\/span> Now <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>someone<\/em><\/span> must be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>held<\/em> <em>to <\/em><em>account<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Or, as we fervently hope&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/crossfire-hurricane-5-page-strzok-mccabe-comey-brennan-clapper.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter can you say, &#8220;two-tiered system of justice&#8221;?\u00a0 We KNEW you could!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Next up, writing at <em>The Corner<\/em>, the great Victor Davis Hanson offers The Donald some unsolicited advice he&#8217;d do well to take:<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"article-header__title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/about-those-press-conferences\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">About Those Press Conferences<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/3zlrfv.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" #ff0000;\"><strong><span class=\"small_caps\">resident Trump<\/span>\u00a0seems increasingly ambivalent about the utility of the daily and sometime marathon press conferences. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">He <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>should be<\/em><\/span> \u2014 and for reasons <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>besides<\/em><\/span> just their length and frequency.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>First, Trump gets <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>bogged down into long, back-and-forth jousts with the touch\u00e9 Washington press corps<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">His impromptu skills, honed both as president and in his years on television, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>usually<\/em><\/span> ensure him <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>tactical<\/em><\/span> victories.<\/span> He is not peremptory but retaliatory in his put-downs.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Fine.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Most<\/em><\/span> Americans <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>don\u2019t especially like<\/em><\/span> the Washington press corps. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">So they don\u2019t mind them earning the repartee that their rude provocation deserves.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>But Trump\u2019s victories are becoming <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Pyrrhic<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">It is in the interest of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the nation<\/em><\/span> as well as <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the president<\/em><\/span> to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>diversify<\/em><\/span> the press conferences, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shorten<\/em><\/span> them, keep them to tight schedules \u2014 and to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not let them become monotonously hijacked<\/em><\/span> by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>those with little if any expertise other than in parroting \u201cI told you so\u201d and \u201cI got you<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of Fake News, one its prime purveyors is the subject of this report by Alexa Moutevelis writing at style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Associate Professor of Women\u2019s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies<\/em><\/span> Brittney Cooper came under fire this week after taking aim at Trump supporters in a lengthy Twitter thread.\u00a0<\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cI am saying some obvious things this morning because as a country we are too good at skipping over the audience and we might as well say this to people as often as we can.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Fuck each and every Trump supporter<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">You all <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>absolutely did this<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>You are to blame<\/em><\/span>,\u201d Cooper wrote in one tweet.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Cooper wrote that it is \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>utterly absurd<\/em><\/span>\u201d to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>reopen the country at this stage<\/em><\/span> of the ongoing pandemic. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">According to Cooper, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>white conservatives want to open the nation because it will \u201cdisproportionately\u201d affect black Americans<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Here we thought Associate Professor Super-size expertise was in Women&#8217;s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span> Virology or Epidemiology!<\/em>)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>\u201cI feel like most Black people are clear that this utterly absurd to push [sic] to re-open the country is all about a gross <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>necropolitical calculation<\/em><\/span> that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>it is Black people who are dying disproportionately from COVID<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Not only do <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>white conservatives not care about Black life<\/em><\/span>, but my most cynical negative read of the white supremacists among them is that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they welcome this massive winnowing of Black folks in order to slow demographic shifts and shore up political power<\/em><\/span>.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Professor Cooper has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a history of bizarre remarks<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">In October 2019, Cooper\u00a0argued\u00a0during an interview on Oprah\u2019s television network that the policies of the Trump administration have led to high levels of obesity for Black women.<\/span> \u201cI <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>hate<\/em><\/span> when people talk about <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Black women being obese<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">I hate it <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>because it becomes a way to blame us<\/em><\/span> for a set of conditions that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we didn\u2019t create<\/em><\/span>,\u201d Cooper said.<\/span> \u201cWe are living in the <span
