width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>In a newly declassified email that Susan Rice <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>sent to herself on January 20, 2017<\/em><\/span>, the former national-security adviser said that former FBI director James Comey <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">had \u201cno indication\u201d that Michael Flynn had passed along classified information to Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak<\/span><\/em>, but stipulated that Comey was nevertheless wary about sharing sensitive information with Flynn <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">because of the frequency of his contact with Kislyak<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The document, reportedly declassified by acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, says that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Comey said he was \u201cproceeding \u2018by the book\u2019 as it relates to law enforcement<\/em><\/span>,\u201d<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Two thoughts come to mind: (1) We KNOW that last sentence to be a bald-faced lie, as Comey and his co-conspirators broke every rule an FBI trainee learns in Law Enforcement 101 in their January 24th interview with Flynn; and, (2)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>In other words, all Jim Comey had as proof of his &#8220;suspicions&#8221; was a&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J511q05SReQ?start=49&amp;end=54&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; our thoughts, as always, are set forth in the green-highlighted parentheticals.\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>SPOILER ALERT<\/em><\/span>: said responses are akin to the degree of derangement exhibited by those who attempted to blame Trump for the Arizona wife poisoning her husband with aquarium cleaner:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/3z7ph3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-80441\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/3z7ph3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/3z7ph3.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/3z7ph3-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>President Trump\u00a0stoked a flurry of reaction Monday after revealing to reporters that he has been\u00a0taking\u00a0hydroxychloroquine, a controversial malaria drug, to stave off the\u00a0novel coronavirus, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">with many experts urging Americans to consult with doctors before taking such a step<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Trump has spent weeks pushing the drug as a potential cure for COVID-19, despite there being no consensus on its effectiveness or safety.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dr. Sean Conley<\/span><\/em>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>president&#8217;s physician<\/em><\/span>, announced in a statement Monday night, &#8220;After <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>numerous discussions<\/em><\/span> he and I had about regarding the evidence for and against the use of\u00a0hydroxychloroquine, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>we concluded the potential benefit from treatment outweighed the relative risks<\/em><\/span>.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Still, many doctors urged Americans that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>their<\/em> <em>best sources for medical information<\/em><\/span> are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>medical experts<\/em><\/span>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span><\/em> the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">president<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">&#8220;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">You have to have a discussion\u00a0with your doctor to decide if it\u00a0is best for you<\/span><\/em>,&#8221; Schaffner told\u00a0The Wall Street Journal.<\/span>\u00a0&#8220;Its use is entirely speculative.&#8221;\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>While there are those who likely seek out the good doctor&#8217;s advice, The Donald ain&#8217;t one of &#8217;em, and Schaffner&#8217;s is just ONE <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">opinion<\/span>!<\/em>)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">Former <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Planned Parenthood President<\/em><\/span>\u00a0Dr. Leana Wen\u00a0said there was &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>NO evidence<\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>(<em>&#8220;NO evidence&#8221;? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/health\/dr-marc-siegel-opens-up-about-his-father-96-and-his-use-of-hydroxychloroquine\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aier.org\/article\/ive-lost-faith-in-humanity-the-psychological-toll-of-the-lockdown\/\">demoralization<\/a><\/em><\/span>, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a complete ignoring of all fundamental rights and liberties, not to mention the mass confiscation of private property with forced closures of millions of businesses<\/span><\/em>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Whatever<\/em><\/span> the answer, it\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>got to be a bizarre tale<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">What\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>truly surprising<\/em><\/span> is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>just how recent<\/em><\/span> the theory behind lockdown and forced distancing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>actually is<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> So far as anyone can tell, the intellectual machinery that made this mess was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>invented 14 years ago<\/em><\/span>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not by epidemiologists<\/em><\/span> but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>by computer-simulation modelers<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">It was adopted <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not by experienced doctors<\/em><\/span> \u2013 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they<\/em><em> warned<\/em><\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>ferociously against it<\/em><\/span> \u2013\u00a0but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>by politicians<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Again, the facts of this article are so compelling they don&#8217;t lend themselves to editing, let alone condensing, but we&#8217;ll give it a go.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s makes the scenario scarier still is, as we hinted in the meme accompanying the headline, the key contributions to the lockdown theory came from a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">14-year-old girl&#8217;s high school science project<\/span><\/em>, assisted by her father, a complex-systems analyst at Sandia National Laboratories with no medical training whatsoever, along with the efforts of two government doctors, an intensivist and an oncologist, neither of whom had any experience in epidemiology or pandemics, tasked by Bush II in 2006 to come up with a plan to combat a possible future pandemic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>In other words, it was a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>high-school science experiment that eventually became law of the land<\/em><\/span>, and through a circuitous route <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>propelled not by science but politics<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>That explains why Dr. D.A. Henderson, \u201cwho had been the leader of the international effort to eradicate smallpox,\u201d <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>completely rejected the whole scheme<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Along with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>every other doctor<\/em><\/span> with epidemiological or pandemic expertise who perused it.\u00a0 Perhaps more noteworthy is, according to Tucker, the fact that at no time during its formulation or implementation was the plan reviewed by experts in either economics or the law.\u00a0 Hey, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>what<\/em><\/span> could go <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>wrong<\/em><\/span>?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5fvsItXYgzk?start=55&amp;end=63&amp;\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>For those doubting the accuracy of Mr. Tucker&#8217;s account, consider <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>this 2008 article from Reuters detailing a study by a Dr. Robert J.
