or a &#8216;scandal<\/span><\/a>&#8216;<span style=\"color: #000000;\">?!?<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Talk about a tempest in a teapot!\u00a0 Turns out one Lexie Gruber and her friend, Lyric Prince (Puerto Rican and Black respectively), confronted White woman Sue Schafer at a 2018 Halloween party hosted by Socialists cartoonist Tom Toles over Schafer&#8217;s satirical costume: a business suit with a name tag stating &#8220;Hi, I&#8217;m Megyn Kelly&#8221;&#8230;and&#8230;GASP!!!&#8230;blackface.\u00a0 This immediately following Kelly being fired from <em>NBC<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>ostensibly<\/em><\/span> because she stated that, in her youth, blackface was acceptable&#8230;which it was&#8230;but far more likely because her <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>former<\/em><\/span> audience at <em>FOX<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>didn&#8217;t follow her to the peacock network<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/but-wait.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-82333\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/but-wait.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/but-wait.png 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/but-wait-300x134.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Lexie Gruber and her friend Lyric Prince, who are Puerto Rican and African American respectively,\u00a0confronted the woman at the party about\u00a0the costume.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>&#8220;You understand how offensive that could be to a person of color?\u201d Gruber told her, who attempted to defend the costume.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">According to the Post, &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>some<\/em><em> guests<\/em><\/span> at the party say <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they wish<\/em><\/span> they had confronted her\u00a0more aggressively&#8221; while &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>others say<\/em><\/span> that she has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>already paid a price<\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Sorta like the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Union soldiers at Gettysburg<\/span>&#8230;and EVERY OTHER CIVIL WAR BATTLEFIELD!!!<\/em>)<\/span> <span style=\"color: #003300;\">and that her embarrassment and regret were evident when she left the party in tears.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Toles <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>initially responded<\/em> <\/span>to Gruber by saying <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>he didn&#8217;t know who was wearing blackface at his party<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">other words<\/span>, when faced with an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">uncomfortable truth<\/span>, he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">lied<\/span>!!!<\/em>)<\/span> but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>did recall<\/em><\/span> telling his friend at the time that her costume was an &#8220;ill-considered attempt at satire.&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>When he told Gruber he wouldn&#8217;t identify the friend, Gruber told him, &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Hiding her name is a deliberate act of white privilege and cowardice, not friendship<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/45x0oe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-82334\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/45x0oe.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/45x0oe.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/45x0oe-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Prince, 36,\u00a0told the Post, &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I felt very unsafe talking to that person in the first place<\/em><\/span>. I was in an environment that, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>if<\/em><\/span> it got heated, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>it would decidedly not be in my best interest<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> <span style=\"color: #003300;\">She <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>also revealed<\/em><\/span> that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>she sought help from a therapist<\/em><\/span>, saying <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>she felt &#8220;threatened and physically and emotionally exposed<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I felt powerless in a way that I never want to feel again<\/em><\/span>.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Witnesses said<\/em><em> Gruber &#8220;yelled&#8221; at the woman after Prince confronted her<\/em><\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they both left the party<\/em><\/span> shortly after.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>The Post reported that the woman, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a vocal critic of President Trump and an advocate for social causes on Facebook<\/em><\/span>,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>knew<\/em><\/span> she made a &#8220;terrible mistake&#8221; <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the moment she arrived at the party<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">She reportedly &#8220;spent many hours in therapy talking about &#8216;how carelessly I behaved. I\u2019m deeply ashamed.'&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Following<\/em><\/span> the party, she emailed Toles and his wife, Gretchen, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>to apologize<\/em><\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>\u201cWith this story, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they\u2019ll get the public humiliation they want<\/em><\/span>, but it <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>won\u2019t foster any real dialogue between us<\/em><\/span>,&#8221; the woman told the Post.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003300;\">&#8220;I wish <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they would talk to me<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I<\/em><\/span> made a mistake, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>I<\/em><\/span> understand now that when <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>black people<\/em><\/span> make a mistake, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>they<\/em><\/span> can get <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>killed<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>As much as we&#8217;d wish it were so, Sue Schafer <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>didn&#8217;t deserve to be fired<\/em><\/span> for wearing a Megyn Kelly costume to a woke 2018 Halloween party.\u00a0 If <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>anything<\/em><\/span> she did was deserving of termination, it was her claim equating her wearing an ill-advised costume to a party of Progressive pussies with a mistake which means death for Black people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Frankly, anyone requiring counseling from the aforementioned encounter needs to have their head examined.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Which brings us to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>(3). underline;\"><em>hyper-political county prosecutor<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>under the corruption microscope as he desperately seeks reelection<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>filing trumped-up, mob-driven charges before the actual investigators have a chance to finish their work<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">You get a\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">capital murder<\/span><\/em>\u00a0charge against a police officer <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>who returned fire after being shot at with a taser by a fleeing suspect<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> A taser that the fleeing suspect, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a criminal with a violent history<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>AND <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">on PROBATION<\/span><\/em>!)<\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>stole from the police while they attempted to arrest him on a well-founded charge<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>A taser being the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>very weapon<\/em><\/span> that the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>same prosecutor<\/em><\/span>, just <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>days earlier<\/em><\/span>, had <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>deemed a deadly weapon under Georgia State law<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">But of course, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>that<\/em><\/span> was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>then<\/em><\/span>, when the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>same prosecutor<\/em><\/span> was addressing the use of tasers\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">by\u00a0police<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>This<\/em><\/span> is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>now<\/em><\/span>, when <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a criminal<\/em><\/span> used a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>stolen<\/em><\/span> taser\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">on\u00a0police<\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">In mob-stricken Atlanta, the prosecutor says <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the latter use<\/em><\/span> of deadly force is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no threat at all<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>In an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>outrageous trumping<\/em><\/span> up of a criminal case \u2014 to describe this as <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>mere \u201covercharging<\/em><\/span>\u201d would be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>woefully insufficient<\/em><\/span> \u2014 Fulton County prosecutor Paul Howard Jr. has charged former police officer Garrett Rolfe with felony murder in connection with the shooting death of Rayshard Brooks.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The killing of Brooks, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>who was violently resisting arrest and attempting to flee<\/em><\/span>, is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>still under investigation<\/em><\/span> by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). <span style=\"color: #333399;\">But in the wake of George Floyd\u2019s recent killing by Minneapolis police officers, the Black Lives Matter demagogues <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>refuse to wait for evidence-based conclusions<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> They will tolerate <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no storyline other than the slanderous fiction<\/em><\/span> that we are all expected not just to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>abide<\/em><\/span> but <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>endorse<\/em><\/span>: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Institutionally racist cops are hunting down black men<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">So, prosecutor Howard <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>did not wait<\/em><\/span> for the GBI to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>finish<\/em><\/span> its probe.<\/span> The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>mob<\/em><\/span> was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>demanding<\/em><\/span> a scalp, so he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>gave<\/em><\/span> them a scalp.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Howard got his\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mdjonline.com\/neighbor_newspapers\/read-the-warrants-for-ex-officer-garrett-rolfe-for-the-felony-murder-of-rayshard-brooks\/article_72bd0898-b0e2-11ea-ab10-ffbdb50c588a.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in-house investigator to sign off on arrest affidavits<\/a><\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Boys and girls, can you say &#8220;Jim Comey and Pete Strzok?!?\u00a0 We KNEW you could!!!<\/em>)<\/span> They charge Rolfe with felony murder, in addition to several other charges. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">In Georgia, felony murder is a death-penalty offense.<\/span> The homicide theory of felony murder is that, while the offender does not specifically <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>intend<\/em><\/span> to cause death, he <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>does intentionally commit a felony<\/em><\/span> from which death <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>results<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>this<\/em><\/span> instance, Howard alleges that the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>underlying felony<\/em><\/span> was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>aggravated assault with a deadly weapon<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>The allegation is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>ludicrous<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>That is why<\/em><\/span> Howard <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>rushed to get it done before any investigative findings could contradict him<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> He is in a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>fight for political survival<\/em><\/span>:\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/dailyreportonline\/2020\/06\/10\/fani-willis-holds-the-lead-over-paul-howard-in-tight-race-for-fulton-da\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trailing in his reelection bid<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>while facing sexual-harassment accusations by two women who worked in his office<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">There are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>also<\/em><\/span> allegations that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>he violated campaign-finance laws<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> The state ethics commission is looking into those.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Under this corruption cloud<\/em><\/span>, he has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>taken stock of our mob moment<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>His<\/em><\/span> best shot, he apparently decided, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is to run against law enforcement<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>That is why<\/em><\/span> he charged Rolfe.<\/span> He has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>also<\/em><\/span> filed charges against Officer Devin Brosnan, Rolfe\u2019s partner during the incident. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Brosnan is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em><\/span> charged with murder.<\/span> Howard\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>main<\/em><\/span> allegation against him is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>aggravated assault<\/em><\/span> \u2014 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>in Atlanta<\/em><\/span>, <em>when a suspect forcibly resists arrest, steals an arresting officer\u2019s taser, and the officer sustains a concussion<\/em>, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>new<\/em><\/span> practice is to charge\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the officer\u00a0with felony interpretation of the U.S. Constitution as <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>antislavery<\/em><\/span> because <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>he recognized<\/em><\/span> that the founding documents of the United States, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>especially<\/em><\/span> the Declaration of Independence, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>provided the moral and political framework for black Americans\u2019 fight for equality<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">As Douglass so clearly emphasizes in his autobiography,\u00a0<em>My Bondage and My Freedom<\/em>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no race of people can achieve equality if they lack agency<\/em><\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>claim<\/em><\/span> of systemic racism is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shameful<\/em><\/span> because <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>it robs the black community of any sense of agency and, thus, accountability<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Peaceful protests in reaction to Mr. Floyd\u2019s death and against police brutality in general are completely justified.<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Though perhaps not <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">as<\/span> justified if the facts <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@gavrilodavid\/why-derek-chauvin-may-get-off-his-murder-charge-2e2ad8d0911\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">set forth herein<\/span><\/span><\/a> are at all accurate!<\/em>)<\/span>\u00a0But <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>why<\/em><\/span> is there <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no<\/em><\/span> vocal outrage, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>no<\/em><\/span> call to action, in the black community <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>over the fact that only 30.8 percent of black children<\/em><\/span>, according to the latest dataset in the 2018 American Community Survey, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>live in a married, two-parent household<\/em><\/span>? <span style=\"color: #800000;\">The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>vast majority<\/em><\/span> of black children are raised in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>single, female-headed households<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Despite the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>valiant effort<\/em><\/span> that single black mothers show in raising their children, they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>can\u2019t<\/em><\/span> be both good mothers <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and<\/em><\/span> good fathers, and they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shouldn\u2019t have to be<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">As W. Bradford Wilcox, the director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia, has documented, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>negative psychological and social effects<\/em><em> of fatherlessness on black boys<\/em><\/span> have been <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>devastating<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> The psychological toll can manifest in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>many destructive ways<\/em><\/span>. Research <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shows<\/em><\/span> that young black boys <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>have more behavioral problems<\/em><\/span> in the early school years and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>more delinquency or criminal behavior<\/em><\/span> as adolescents and adults. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Unfortunately, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>BLM teaches<\/em><\/span> through its writings and conferences on race that the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>idea<\/em><\/span> of a two-parent home, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>need<\/em><\/span> for both fathers and mothers, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>is a racist construct produced by a powerful white majority<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> But would the young black son wishing for his father to show up <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>agree<\/em><\/span>?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>If anything<\/em><\/span> is systemic, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>it is the failure within the black community to see that the breakdown of the black family is the root cause of so many of the social ills that confront the community<\/em><\/span>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>black males<\/em><em> in particular<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">The sad fact is that, while the diverse group of Millennials who marched in the streets with blacks <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>were united by a common cause<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>many<\/em><\/span> of those <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>same<\/em><\/span> Millennials, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>unlike<\/em><\/span> their <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>black<\/em><\/span> counterparts, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>went home to intact families and will return soon to their selective colleges<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Income, health, and education inequality <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>will persist<\/em><em> until black families are made whole mostly by their own efforts<\/em><em> and are able to give their children all the psychological tools needed to be happy and successful<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Success<\/em><\/span> is a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>cumulative process<\/em><\/span>, and the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>once<\/em><\/span> widely agreed-on cultural precepts <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>still hold<\/em><\/span>: that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>you should<\/em><\/span>, for example, get an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>education<\/em><\/span>, get <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>married before you have children<\/em><\/span>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>obey the law<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Community activists and academics who <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>contort themselves<\/em><\/span> to justify ever-new iterations of family formation <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>are only hurting the people they think they\u2019re qualities<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> In an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>unusually balanced<\/em><\/span> analysis, the\u00a0New York Times\u00a0let slip a deep truth: \u201cOther presidents at least maintained <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the notion<\/em><\/span> that there was a difference between presidential duty and campaign imperative, but as Mr. Bolton describes it, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Mr. Trump sees little need for pretense<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Bingo<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Mr. Trump\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>defining quality<\/em><\/span> has been his <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>gargantuan cynicism about the game of politics and the politicians who play it<\/em><\/span>, a cynicism <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>shared by millions of voters<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">But this leaves out something.<\/span> He seeks <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>personal victories<\/em><\/span>, all right, but ones <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>constantly aimed at fulfilling the vision he sold to voters and apparently truly believes in<\/em><\/span>: Our elites are hypocritical and corrupt (Ukraine). <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">We\u2019ve been suckers in trade deals (China).<\/span> Our allies take advantage of us (Angela Merkel). <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Our rivals don\u2019t respect us because we appear weak (Putin).<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>There are multiple ironies, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>as there ought to be<\/em><\/span> when voters embark on an experiment as outr\u00e9 as the Trump presidency. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">After all, which of his supporters <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>didn\u2019t<\/em><\/span> pull the lever thinking \u201cI hope we can go four years without a major crisis.\u201d<\/span> <em>Yet if not for the pandemic wild-card, Mr. Trump would be the greatest economic success in a generation<\/em>, and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>simply by calling off Barack Obama\u2019s reflexive, indiscriminate granting of power to every pro-regulation interest in the Democratic coalition<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Daily and hourly pundits <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>denounce his evangelical supporters as hypocritical<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>as if these experts forget elementary political science<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Our two-party system <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>would cease to exist if voters weren\u2019t ready to make common cause with those they have nothing in common with<\/em><\/span>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>especially<\/em><\/span> if they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>can deliver<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Mr. Trump, it\u2019s important to remember, is a product of the Wharton School, Manhattan\u2019s glittery business circles, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and NBC<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> He is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">both a parody and representative of a media-political elite whose addiction to celebrity may be the deceptively simple sum of its maladies<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Why was Rachel Maddow <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>unable to evince skepticism about the Steele dossier<\/em><\/span>?<\/span> Because it would have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>spoiled the show on which her entire prominence was founded<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>No other explanation is necessary<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Nor is any other sufficient<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">And yet some <span bait\u201d in Chipley, Florida. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u201cThe infants are allowed to play in the shallow water while expert riflemen watch from concealment nearby,&#8221; the article said.<\/span> &#8220;When a saurian (alligator) approaches this prey, he is shot by the riflemen.\u201d <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The Chipley Chamber of Commerce responded to the Time article by calling it a \u201csilly lie, false and absurd.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wow, an article from a 1923 edition of <em>Time<\/em>, the contents of which were termed
