and combat the Wuhan virus&#8230;and <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">absolutely critical<\/span><\/em>, we were told, to the health and safety of the country&#8230;have been routinely ignored by those who enacted them.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In an item featured in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/?p=85139\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">last Friday&#8217;s edition<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, Jim Geraghty highlighted some of more egregious lowlights brought to us by Liberal lowlifes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Her [Pelosi] experience in the salon can be put alongside Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot similarly<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/nbcblk\/chicago-mayor-defends-hairstylist-visit-amid-coronavirus-outbreak-n1181546\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">getting a visit from a stylist during quarantine<\/span><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #333399;\">,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #333399;\">\u00a0while telling Chicagoans, \u201cgetting your roots done is not essential\u201d;<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800080;\">Virginia governor Ralph Northam<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2020\/04\/08\/illinois-mayor-wife-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"broken_link\">ordering a crackdown on open bars and learning that his wife was at one of them<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #333399;\">&#8230;and I\u2019m sure there are other examples of lawmakers and their families breaking their own rules and restrictions during this pandemic.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800080;\">You can throw in other cases of not-quite-rule-breaking, such as bad judgment on the part of Senator Rand Paul, who<\/span>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcbayarea.com\/news\/coronavirus\/sen-rand-paul-kept-working-for-six-days-after-virus-test\/2260016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>decided to keep working at the U.S. Capito<\/em><\/span>l<\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800080;\">while he was waiting for results from his coronavirus test.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">(And this isn\u2019t even getting into the<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/04\/18\/no-ones-more-entitled-than-a-coronavirus-positive-celebrity-in-hamptons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN prime-time anchors and ABC News anchors<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #333399;\">who broke quarantines as well.)<\/span><\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s worse than their lies and hypocrisy are the lives and businesses snuffed out by their single-minded pursuit of political power and personal wealth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>BTW, in yesterday&#8217;s <em>Morning Jolt<\/em>, what Bob Woodward represents as news, Geraghty terms&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"article-header__title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/the-morning-jolt\/nothing-new-under-the-sun\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;
