text-decoration: underline;\">One former cop charged with endangerment, as the mob touts brutality narrative in lieu of looking at the evidence<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #003300;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2-kfAD9H1Lc\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>In similar cases around the country over the last several years, prosecutors have prioritized the mob over the evidence. <span style=\"color: #003300;\">To his great credit, Attorney General Cameron <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">did not<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> As an African-American law enforcement official who has dealt extensively with the Taylor family, the strain of the case on him and his office was obvious at his press conference, and he spoke eloquently about that. <span style=\"color: #003300;\">No one can quarrel with the grand jury\u2019s conclusion that Hankison deserved to be charged because of his life-threatening recklessness.<\/span> In another case, since he did not actually injure anyone, the state <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">might<\/span><\/em> have been content with firing Hankison. <span style=\"color: #003300;\">But the enormity of Ms. Taylor\u2019s death made such leniency impossible to rationalize.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>So the attorney general <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">filed charges<\/span><\/em>&#8230;but there is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">rioting <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a<\/em>nyway<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Much<\/span><\/em> of what we\u2019ve been told about the case turns out <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not to be true<\/span><\/em> \u2014 <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">another \u201cHands Up, Don\u2019t Shoot\u201d urban legend of police brutality<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> Most prominently, Attorney General Cameron explained that the police <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">did not<\/span><\/em> execute a \u201cno knock\u201d warrant before entering Ms. Taylor\u2019s apartment. <span style=\"color: #003300;\">They <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">knocked and announced themselves as police<\/span><\/em> before forcing entry shortly after midnight.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How<\/span><\/em> they came to be at Ms. Taylor\u2019s home, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">with a search warrant based on probable cause that evidence of narcotics crimes would be found<\/span><\/em>, is the part of the story <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the social-justice warriors would have us omit<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #003300;\">It <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">needs telling<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which Andy proceeds to do, along with Candace Owens in the video clip above courtesy of James Nichols.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In the meantime, though Nancy the Red rivals Groper Joe for their respective levels of senility&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Qg8Y5bHlbOg\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; color: #ff6600;\">Princeton&#8217;s cheap, empty virtue-signaling may prove very expensive<\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/4g6uvi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-85718\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/4g6uvi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/4g6uvi.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/4g6uvi-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber has gotten himself into a bit of a bind,\u00a0<em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/exclusive-education-department-opens-investigation-into-princeton-university-after-president-deems-racism-embedded-in-the-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as the\u00a0Washington Examiner&#8217;s\u00a0Tiana Lowe first reported<\/a><\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Earlier this month, he released an open letter filled with <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">unsubstantiated<\/span><\/em> claims that he runs an institution imbued with systemic racism.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Eisgruber wrote that &#8220;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">racism<\/span><\/em> and the damage it does to people of color <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">persist<\/span><\/em> at Princeton.&#8221; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">He <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">further asserted<\/span><\/em> that &#8220;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">racist assumptions<\/span><\/em>&#8221; are &#8220;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">embedded in structures of the University itself<\/span><\/em>.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The reader will likely recognize such claptrap for what it is \u2014 the completely insincere words of a cowardly, mediocre university administrator, fearful of the damage that social justice agitators could do to his school\u2019s reputation were he ever to fail to act in a sufficiently obsequious manner.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Fortunately, the U.S. Education Department is taking a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">more rigorous view<\/span><\/em> of his comments. Eisgruber\u2019s <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">admission<\/span><\/em> that he runs a racist university <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">puts his school\u2019s federal funding in jeopardy<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> The Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that &#8220;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no person<\/span><\/em> in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance<\/span><\/em>.&#8221; <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">This means that Eisgruber\u2019s admission, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">along with an earlier public statement by hundreds of Princeton faculty that \u201canti-Black racism has a visible bearing upon Princeton\u2019s campus makeup<\/span><\/em>,&#8221; constitute <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">open confessions<\/span><\/em> that the university <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">is in violation of civil rights law and should be stripped of its federal funding<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>The Department of Education replied to Eisgruber\u2019s silly groveling with a letter announcing a new investigation of the school and requesting relevant documents. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8220;Based on its admitted racism,\u201d the letter reads, \u201cthe U.S. Department of Education&#8230;is concerned Princeton\u2019s nondiscrimination and equal opportunity assurances in its Program Participation Agreements from at least 2013 to the present <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">may have been false<\/span><\/em>\u201d and that \u201cPrinceton\u2019s <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">many nondiscrimination and equal opportunity claims to students, parents, and consumers<\/span><\/em> in the market for education certificates <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">may have been false<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">, misleading, and actionable substantial misrepresentations\u201d under federal law<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>Eisgruber <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">now<\/span><\/em> faces a dilemma. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">One option is to level with everyone and <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">admit<\/span><\/em> that <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no<\/span><\/em>, Princeton <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">is not a racist institution<\/span><\/em>; that <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no<\/span><\/em>, he was <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">never sincere about what he was saying<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> This option would allow him to argue that Princeton\u2019s representations of being an inclusive university were indeed accurate all along.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">But if Eisgruber <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">admits that he was merely fudging it<\/span><\/em> \u2014 offering a calculated, guileful admission of guilt, he would <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">enrage the social justice crowd<\/span><\/em>, whose dogma holds that America <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and<\/span><\/em> her institutions <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">are not just racist<\/span><\/em>, but <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">incurably so<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> In reversing himself and claiming that Princeton is a nonracist institution, Eisgruber would make himself a heretic and set up himself and his school as a target for future hostile activism.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Eisgruber\u2019s <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">other option<\/span><\/em> is to risk going down with the woke ship.<\/span> Yes, he <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">can maintain<\/span><\/em> that Princeton is a hotbed of systemic institutional racism, but that position could <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">potentially cost the school billions in federal funding<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #008000;\">(<em>Though why a school with billions of dollars in endowments need our tax dollars is beyond us!<\/em>)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Until now<\/span><\/em>, virtue-signaling was so <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">cheap and easy<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Anyone<\/span><\/em> could do it <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and<\/span><\/em>
