New U.S. Covid-19 Cases Top 80,000 to Reach a Single-Day Record<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n

Cases spreading in remote areas as well as cities that have already battled virus; hospitalizations also rising<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h3>\n

“The number of new coronavirus cases reported in the U.S.\u00a0hit a single-day record, as cases spread across communities in every region of the country including remote areas that hadn\u2019t yet been hard hit.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>The U.S. reported 83,757 new cases Friday, surpassing the previous high of 77,362 reported July 16, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.<\/span> Daily new-case totals have risen<\/span><\/em> for five straight days<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Since the pandemic began, more than 8.49 million infections have been reported in the U.S<\/span><\/em>. and more than 223,900 Americans have died<\/em><\/span>, according to Johns Hopkins data.<\/span> World-wide, more than 42.2 million cases have been reported<\/span><\/em>, and more than 1.14 million people have died<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are at a critical juncture in this pandemic, particularly in the northern hemisphere,\u201d World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a news conference Friday.<\/span> \u201cThe next few months are going to be very tough and some countries are on a dangerous track.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Tedros warned that \u201ctoo many countries are seeing an exponential increase in cases,\u201d bringing hospitals close to their operational capacity or even above it.<\/span> \u201cWe urge leaders to take immediate action, to prevent further unnecessary deaths, essential health services from collapsing and schools shutting again,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Epidemiologists and public-health researchers have said\u00a0a number of factors, from pandemic fatigue to the return of college students to campuses and more social gatherings, are contributing to the latest rise in cases<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> The recent increases are affecting broader swaths of the U.S. than the spring and summer surges, when outbreaks were heavily concentrated in a handful of states<\/strong><\/span>…”<\/p>\n

…then ponder these little factoids:<\/strong><\/p>\n

(1). There’s never<\/span><\/em> been a realistic chance the Wuhan virus was ever<\/span><\/em> to going to stop spreading until (a) the country achieved herd immunity or, (b) an effective vaccine was developed and distributed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(2). The initial two-week<\/span><\/em> lockdown, a terrible<\/span><\/em> idea to begin with (but what could one expect from a policy based upon a 14-year-old girl’s high school science project<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>!), was intended only to flatten<\/span><\/em> the curve, not reduce the ultimate number of people infected<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(3). The concern should NOT be the sheer number<\/span><\/em> of cases, which MUST increase, but rather the mortality rate<\/span><\/em>, which has drastically decreased<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(4).\u00a0 61 million<\/span><\/em> Americans contracted the Swine flu in 2009 during an Obama-Biden administration which did NOTHING to combat the H1N1 virus.<\/strong><\/p>\n

(5). A minority<\/span><\/em> of those listed as victims died solely<\/span><\/em> as a result of the virus, with the vast majority<\/span><\/em> of victims having at least one<\/span><\/em>, and often two<\/span><\/em>\u00a0comorbidities.\u00a0 Not to mention hospitals and nursing home facilities had a financial incentive to record COVID-19 as a patient’s cause of death.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And need we mention, at this point, like Dr. Faux Chi, does anyone believe or care about<\/span><\/em>\u00a0a single thing<\/span><\/em> Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus…or anyone else on the ChiCom payroll…says<\/span><\/em>?!?<\/strong><\/p>\n
