<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">anyone<\/span><\/em>, be they skywatchers, skygazers or, for that matter&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/download-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-86896\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/download-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"284\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/download-1.jpeg 284w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/download-1-203x300.jpeg 203w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 284px) 100vw, 284px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;Skywalkers.\u00a0 Rather we&#8217;re of the opinion an\u00a0event indistinguishable from any other full moon, and which happens every two to three years, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>really<\/em><\/span>\u00a0didn&#8217;t &#8220;thrill&#8221; a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">single soul<\/span><\/em>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I_gwYTHbCCM?start=12\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; interviewed for the article.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Unfortunately, sensationalism sells: Thus do common occurrences &#8220;thrill&#8221;, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/super-typhoon-batters-philippines-1-million-in-shelters\" class=\"broken_link\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">storms become &#8220;super typhoons<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/span>&#8220;, models morph into &#8220;supermodels&#8221;, any actor or actress who ever appeared on television is cited as a &#8220;star&#8221;.\u00a0 Oh, and <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">everybody<\/span><\/em> gets a trophy!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>And where the heck would we be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>without NASA<\/em><\/span>?!?\u00a0 We certainly know<\/strong><strong>\u00a0where the crews of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/science\/2003\/jun\/22\/spaceexploration.columbia#:~:text=On%201%20February%202003%2C%20investigators,time%2C%20Nasa's%20luck%20ran%20out.&amp;text=Former%20top%20Nasa%20engineering%20and,say%20the%20accident%20was%20preventable.\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; They are presented <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">without the obsession of \u201cBut Trump&#8230;\u201d rhetoric<\/span><\/em> \u2014 look elsewhere (the places are plenty) if that is what floats your boat. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">This is done with an understanding, maybe delusional but likely not, that <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">#NeverBiden<\/span><\/em> is a status that applies to <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">many<\/span><\/em> Americans<\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What follows is too lengthy to cover in one column, but <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">well<\/span><\/em> worth your time to read <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">before<\/span><\/em> heading to the polls&#8230;and passing on to everyone you know before <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">they<\/span><\/em> do.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The author concludes with this sage observation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>God, Bismarck is alleged to have said, protects fools, drunks, and the United States of America. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">On Election Day, this #NeverBiden voter will vote, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and will pray the Almighty protects the latter<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> We sure as h*** <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">won\u2019t survive the former<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Absent<\/span><\/em> the direct intercession of the Almighty Himself, we <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">agree<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0 Which is why we&#8217;ll continue to pray <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">even if<\/span><\/em> the election <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">doesn&#8217;t<\/span><\/em> go the way <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">we<\/span><\/em> perceive to be&#8230;&#8221;right&#8217;!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>But if you don&#8217;t believe either Jack Fowler <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">or<\/span><\/em> us, perhaps you&#8217;ll trust <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/-978MiDt_Ww\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>the great Thomas Sowell<\/em><\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Next, courtesy of <em>Substack<\/em> via G. When editors abandoned those principles, spiking a controversial story, he was forced to quit<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l8pkCZBjgrk\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Pulitzer Prize-winning\u00a0journalist Glenn Greenwald quit his job this morning. <span style=\"color: #800080;\">In a bizarre, <em>ironic<\/em>, and <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">disturbing<\/span><\/em> commentary on trends in modern media, the celebrated reporter was forced to resign after writing a story criticizing <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">both<\/span><\/em> the Biden campaign <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and<\/span><\/em> intelligence community \u2014 only to have it spiked by the editors of\u00a0<em>The Intercept,\u00a0<\/em>the news outlet he co-founded six years ago <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">with the aim of preventing pretty much this exact situation<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cThe irony,\u201d Greenwald says, \u201cis that a media outlet I co-founded, and which was built on my name and my accomplishments, with the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">purpose of guaranteeing editorial independence<\/span><\/em>, is now <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">censoring me in the most egregious way<\/span><\/em> \u2014 about the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">leading<\/span><\/em> presidential candidate, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">a week before the election<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Greenwald becomes the latest high-profile journalist to leave a well-known legacy media organization to join Substack. You\u2019ll be able to read the piece rebuffed by\u00a0<em>The Intercept<\/em><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/greenwald.substack.com\/p\/article-on-joe-and-hunter-biden-censored\">at his new site here<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #800080;\">.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>In a nutshell, the fatal sequence of events went <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">as follows<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Liberals: they only hurt the ones they love&#8230;particularly when they stray from the Socialist reservation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a related item, as Keith Koffler noted of the following exchange, if the answer to the question is &#8220;no&#8221;, wouldn&#8217;t it be simpler to just\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">say<\/span><\/em> &#8220;no&#8221;?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YVy3M-aCSU4\" width=\"420\" height=\"235\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Which, of course, means the answer is &#8220;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">yes<\/span><\/em>&#8220;!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaking of the truth-challenged, as\u00a0<em>FOX News\u00a0<\/em>reports&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"headline\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/virginia-northam-no-knock-warrants-breonna-taylor-police-reform\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #800080; text-decoration: underline;\">Virginia bans no-knock warrants as Gov. Northam signs sweeping police reform legislation<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/4kejit.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-86852\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/4kejit.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/4kejit.jpg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/4kejit-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Besides banning no-knock warrants, it creates a statewide minimum training for law enforcement officers <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">on racism<\/span><\/em>, biased profiling and de-escalation techniques.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The law also seeks to reduce the militarization of police by <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">prohibiting<\/span><\/em> law enforcement from obtaining or using specified equipment, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">including grenades, weaponized aircraft\u00a0and high-caliber firearms<\/span><\/em>. <\/span>Northam amended the house bill to clarify that law enforcement agencies <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">can seek a waiver<\/span><\/em> to use restricted equipment <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">for search-and-rescue missions<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>\u201cToo many families, in Virginia and across our nation, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">live in fear of being hurt or killed by police<\/span><\/em>,\u201d Northam said in a\u00a0statement<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>So many thoughts and questions, so little time; but here are the first three which came to mind:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(1).
