Daily Gouge Archive, Friday, January 29th, 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>It&#8217;s Friday, January 29th, 2021&#8230;but before beginning, we offer three brief random thoughts on the passing scene, the first occasioned by a point Jim Geraghty made in a recent installment of his <em>Morning Jolt<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u00a0regarding the continued presence of National Guard troops around the Capitol:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #008080;\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">All<\/span><\/em> members of Congress, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">their staffs<\/span><\/em>, and <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">anyone<\/span><\/em> who works in the U.S. Capitol complex should be able to work in a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">safe and secure environment<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shouldn&#8217;t <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>everyone<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">everywhere<\/span><\/em>&#8230;have the right to work, operate a business or exercise their First Amendment rights in a safe and secure environment, shielded from the violent acts and intentions of\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>true<\/em><\/span> domestic terrorists and insurrectionists?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/4vkhu9.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" underline;\">Biden DHS assessment<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a> boobs like these&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a occurred to us while reading Stilton&#8217;s words featured as our <em>Quote of the Day<\/em>.\u00a0 Joe Biden hasn&#8217;t had an <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">original<\/span><\/em> thought <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in his life<\/span><\/em>&#8230;outside of new and innovative ways he can use his office to feather the beds of his family&#8230;with the customary 10% going to the Big Guy.\u00a0 He&#8217;s a mere puppet, and, like the legendary dimwit Governor William J. Le Petomane, he&#8217;ll <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">quite literally<\/span><\/em> sign <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>anything put in front of him<\/em><\/span>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NzbhbetwYFU?start=34&amp;end=47&amp;\" width=\"420\" control.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Third, while Trump certainly had his flaws&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/4vro1d.jpg\"><img China or \u201cparasitic capitalist\u201d did in the Third Reich<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/imrs-copy.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-89877\" style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">how<\/span><\/em> blacks and Latinos <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">could vote<\/span><\/em> for Donald Trump and in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>some<\/em><\/span> cases <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>enthusiastically<\/em><\/span> join demonstrations for him, given the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">supposedly obvious fact<\/span><\/em> that that Trump is a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">white supremacist<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">According to Myers, New York University professor Cristina Beltr\u00e1n answered this troubling question in the\u00a0<i>Washington Post<\/i>\u00a0in a memorable gloss on \u201cwhiteness\u201d:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Whiteness<\/span> is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">politics of aggression, exclusion, and domination<\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">And\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">multiracial\u00a0whiteness<\/span> reflects an understanding of whiteness as a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">political colour<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not simply a racial identity<\/span>.<\/span> It is a \u2018<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">discriminatory worldview<\/span> in which <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">feelings of freedom and belonging<\/span> are produced through <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the persecution and dehumanisation of others<\/span>.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">And so <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">now<\/span><\/em> we understand.<\/span> \u201c<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Whiteness<\/span><\/em>,\u201d or what Beltr\u00e1n elsewhere designates as \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>multiracial whiteness<\/em><\/span>,\u201d <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">does not refer exclusively<\/span><\/em> to Caucasians as opposed to black people or to some other race. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">It is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">holding a \u201cdiscriminatory worldview<\/span><\/em>\u201d that causes someone to engage in the \u201cdehumanization\u201d of others.<\/span> This <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">may be<\/span><\/em> what President Biden (or his speechwriter) had in mind <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">when he went after \u201cwhite nationalists\u201d but conveniently forgot to mention Black Lives Matter and Antifa as persistent hellraisers<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">And <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">white supremacists<\/span><\/em> are people we should <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ostracize and strip of their rights<\/span><\/em> <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">because<\/span><\/em> they practice dehumanization.<\/span> Moreover, the <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">disease of \u201cwhiteness<\/span><\/em>\u201d has befallen <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">nonwhites as well as biological whites<\/span><\/em>, and we would do well to <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">reeducate<\/span><\/em> these bigoted nonwhites, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">particularly<\/span><\/em> the ones who wore MAGA hats and voted for Trump.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Allow me to make another point that may strike some readers as strange.<\/span> The main struggle in which we are now engaged as a society and civilization <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>has little to do with race<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Blacks<\/span><\/em>, like Muslims in Europe, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">have an assigned function that comes from those higher up in the food chain<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Their job is to aid the cultural Left as an auxiliary force<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">They are there <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">to help predominantly white elites crush and humiliate other whites<\/span><\/em>, a.k.a. the Deplorables or\u00a0<i>les Ploucs<\/i>\u00a0in France.<\/span> Therefore, minority members who misbehave should be <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">severely disciplined<\/span><\/em>, lest <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">others<\/span><\/em> in their ranks insist on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>their<\/em><\/span> own thoughts.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">The cat is finally out of the bag about the identity of supposed \u201cwhite supremacists.\u201d<\/span> We are <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not speaking here<\/span><\/em> about <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>white people<\/em><\/span> who set out to do harm to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>nonwhites<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">We are describing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>those whom financially secure leftists are out to debase and ruin<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> And they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>don\u2019t have to be white to become targets<\/em><\/span> of these leftists, since \u201c<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">whiteness\u201d is not primarily about skin color<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">It refers to <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">those whom the powerful classify as \u201cdehumanizers<\/span><\/em>,\u201d and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>therefore<\/em><\/span> set out <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>to
