New York has a higher coronavirus fatality rate<\/span><\/em> than any country in the Western world<\/em><\/span>. It is a place low in civil liberties<\/span><\/em> and high in death toll<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> A Faucian centralized plan<\/span><\/em> would have entailed strict lockdowns of the economy and the implementation of policies that compelled nursing homes in states such as Florida<\/span><\/em>, with a high number of vulnerable elderly, to accept thousands of infected people<\/em><\/span>. As it stands now, Florida\u2019s fatality rate is\u00a0nearly half<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0of that in New Jersey or in Fauci\u2019s exemplar, New York.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…I\u2019m sorry the Constitution<\/span><\/em> is inhibiting Fauci\u2019s work, but he<\/span><\/em> is a public-health official<\/span><\/em>. His job<\/span><\/em> is to relay information to the public<\/span><\/em>, not<\/span><\/em> to threaten doom<\/span><\/em>, or coax or trick us into doing things<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> Yet even now<\/span><\/em>, despite the immensely promising results of the vaccination program<\/span><\/em> (the United States, incidentally,\u00a0easily<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0outperforms the European Union\u2019s \u201cunified approach\u201d), Fauci is underplaying the effectiveness of the vaccine for the same reasons, one suspects, that he misled us about herd immunity<\/span><\/em>. Even when most American are immunized<\/span><\/em>, Fauci\u00a0says<\/a><\/em><\/span>, we won\u2019t be back to \u201cnormal\u201d until new infections drop \u201cto a baseline that\u2019s so low, it is virtually no threat<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This<\/span><\/em> is a disqualifying statement<\/span><\/em> \u2014 an insane standard that no free society would ever indulge<\/span><\/em>. For Fauci<\/span><\/em>, herd immunity is effectively 99 percent<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps it\u2019s understandable that an immunologist such as Fauci, who will continue<\/em><\/span> to\u00a0make more money<\/a><\/span><\/em>\u00a0than any other official in the United States government through all of this<\/em><\/span>, isn\u2019t very alarmed about the economic, social, and constitutional tradeoffs that accompany his approach<\/em><\/span>. For a year, any criticism<\/span><\/em> of Fauci was immediately slotted into the alleged debate between Donald Trump vs. \u201cscience<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> But it\u2019s Fauci\u2019s technocratic<\/em> instincts<\/em><\/span>, not science<\/em><\/span>, that makes him more likely to praise Chicom\u2019s lackeys at the World Health Organization than the resilience of the United States<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…Which is one reason<\/span><\/em> why the press should never<\/em><\/span> have canonized Fauci in the first place; but his preening, deceptive performance<\/span><\/em> is another great reason<\/em><\/span> America should avoid<\/span><\/em> a \u201cunified approach\u201d to policy.<\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

(4).\u00a0ABC 7 News <\/em>reports an unidentified East Bay teacher discouraged her students from in-person learning<\/a><\/em><\/span>, warning them:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>“I’ll have my desk taped off in an area and I can’t really leave that area.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/strong>If you want to go to school for social reasons<\/span>, recognize that you absolutely will not have that<\/span>. There’s no question<\/span> that you will not<\/span> be allowed to interact in any fashion<\/span>. You cannot<\/span> work with a partner.
