It’s Monday, March 8th, 2021…but before beginning, we present another bit of U.S. Navy history worth remembering, in this case…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cat on a Cold Steel Dive Plane<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n

With morale on board his nuclear-powered submarine way down, the skipper of the Finback came up with a novel-but risque-solution. The ten minutes of gyrating that followed has gone down in modern U.S. Navy infamy<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0(?!?)<\/span>.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Holloway III,\u00a0Chief of Naval Operations, on 2 October 1975, found the former commander of\u00a0Finback<\/i>\u00a0“guilty of permitting an action, which could<\/span><\/em> have distracted the attention of those responsible for the safe navigation of the nuclear-powered submarine maneuvering in restricted waters.” Holloway agreed with subordinates that Stevenson had failed to exercise good judgement<\/span><\/em> and did not follow regulations governing civilian visitors to naval vessels<\/span><\/em>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>“<\/p>\n

“Infamy”?\u00a0 Hardly!\u00a0 The Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor was infamous<\/span><\/em>; this<\/em><\/span> was merely…”entertaining”…particularly as no one was harmed, and the ship suffered no adverse impact to her safe navigation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s the juice: We’re left wondering what’s worse: a Navy in which topless civilian women COULD have distracted those responsible for safe navigation in restricted waters…<\/strong><\/p>\n

…or fully-clad,\u00a0 commissioned female officers whose ineptitude and misconduct constituted a definite and deadly hazard to their vessel and crew<\/em><\/span><\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We’ll take the former over the latter any day of the week.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, here’s The Gouge<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We lead off the second week of March with one of our favorite topics of debate with Dimocrats: gun control and the 2nd Amendment.\u00a0 First, consider the following observations forwarded by Balls Cotton:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– When JFK was killed, nobody<\/em><\/span> blamed the rifle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– The NRA<\/em><\/span> has never murdered anyone<\/em><\/span>, nor ever received a dime<\/span><\/em> of taxpayer funds. Planned Parenthood kills 350,000 babies every year<\/span><\/em>\u00a0and receives $500,000,000 in tax dollars annually<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– I have no problem<\/em><\/span> with vigorous background checks when it comes to firearms. But while we’re at it, let’s do the same when it comes to immigration, voter I.D., and candidates running for office<\/span><\/em>. (Especially elected officials assigned to House or Senate Intel or Armed Services Committees! Currently there are no background checks whatsoever<\/span><\/em> to include those sleeping with CCP spies<\/span><\/em> or having CCP drivers<\/span>.<\/em>)<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Folks keep talking about another<\/span><\/em> Civil War. One side knows how to shoot and is armed to the teeth. The other side has crying closets and is confused about which bathroom to use. Now tell me, how do you think that<\/span><\/em> will end?<\/strong><\/p>\n
