text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900; text-decoration: underline;\">And other observations<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lieawatha.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-91833\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lieawatha.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"323\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lieawatha.png 323w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/lieawatha-231x300.png 231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 323px) 100vw, 323px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">Here in the United States, we have a nifty thing called the Bill of Rights, which means that everybody \u2014\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>everybody<\/em><\/span>\u00a0\u2014 is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">powerful enough to heckle a senator<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> It <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">goes with the job<\/span><\/em> you <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">effin\u2019 dolt<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">(See? <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Heckling<\/span><\/em> is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>easy<\/em><\/span>!)<\/span> This <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>isn\u2019t<\/em><\/span> North Korea or Venezuela or East Germany \u2014 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not yet<\/em><\/span>! \u2014 where people have to be afraid of criticizing those who hold government office. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">The fact that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Senator Warren so obviously wishes that it were so<\/em><\/span> is a real good reason to retire her pronto.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Heckling pissant politicians is our national pastime. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">It\u2019s what we do.<\/span> We have a word for the kind of society in which <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>those without power are too terrified of those with power to criticize them<\/em><\/span>:\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">tyranny<\/span><\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">And tyranny is what Senator Warren <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">plainly desires<\/span><\/em> \u2014 if we take her at her own word.<\/span> Of course, there are lots of reasons <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not<\/em><\/span> to take her at her own word, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>beginning with the fact that she is a habitual liar<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">If Senator Warren weren\u2019t dumber than nine chickens and as useless as teats on a boar hog, it would be genuinely surprising that she would put this political extortion threat into writing <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and<\/span><\/em> publish it.<\/span> Because that is what she is doing and what must be understood: <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Senator Warren is threatening to use the power of her office to impose economic sanctions on Americans to keep them from publicly criticizing her<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">I don\u2019t have any particular sympathy for the recreant techno-bullies over in Jeff Bezos\u2019s shop \u2014 I think it is just damned weird that our nation\u2019s biggest bookseller is also our premier book-banner \u2014 but once you accept this kind of abuse of political power, it\u2019s a<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;
