it isn\u2019t. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">After last year\u2019s killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, angry demonstrators in Britain, emulating Black Lives Matter protests in the U.S., took to city streets.<\/span> Some committed acts of vandalism. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">In the port city of Bristol, a statue of a local 17th-century philanthropist was toppled because he also traded in slaves.<\/span> In London\u2019s Parliament Square, the words \u201cWas a Racist\u201d were daubed on the plinth of Winston Churchill\u2019s statue.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">In July the government of Prime Minister\u00a0Boris Johnson\u00a0responded by impaneling the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities.<\/span> \u201cWe decided to step away from the heat and all that vitriol,\u201d says its chairman, Tony Sewell, \u201cand just take a cold look at the data on racism.\u201d <span style=\"color: #333399;\">In doing so, \u201cwe examined ideas that weren\u2019t to be questioned,\u201d namely \u201cthe race industry\u2019s articles of faith.\u201d<\/span> In its March 31\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\"><a class=\"icon none\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/government\/uploads\/system\/uploads\/attachment_data\/file\/974507\/20210331_-_CRED_Report_-_FINAL_-_Web_Accessible.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/em>, the commission concluded that while Britain isn\u2019t yet \u201ca post-racial society,\u201d <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>neither is it any longer a place where \u201cthe system\u201d is \u201cdeliberately rigged against ethnic minorities<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">As a result, Mr. Sewell, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">who is black<\/span><\/em>\u2014<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">only one of the 10 other commissioners is white<\/span><\/em>\u2014has come under <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">blistering attack<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> It ranges from the achingly predictable (a profusion of \u201cUncle Tom\u201d accusations on\u00a0Twitter\u00a0) to the grotesque. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">A Cambridge professor of postcolonial studies likened Mr. Sewell to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.<\/span> A Labour member of Parliament suggested that he belonged in the Ku Klux Klan. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">Add in put-downs like \u201chouse Negro,\u201d \u201ctoken\u201d and \u201crace traitor,\u201d and you have a picture of the liberal rage ignited by the commission\u2019s refusal to endorse the belief that Britain is irremediably racist.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Mr. Sewell, 62, <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">runs a charity that coaches black schoolchildren in science and math<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">\u201cIt\u2019s a STEM pipeline program,\u201d he says via Zoom from the study of his house in London.<\/span> \u201cIt starts when they\u2019re young and takes them up to university, using summer schools.\u201d <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Thousands<\/span><\/em> of black kids have been given a college opportunity they \u201cdidn\u2019t have in the first place.\u201d<\/span> <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Yet he\u2019s called an \u201cUncle Tom<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">He characterizes the abuse as \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>a sort of antiracism that borders on racism<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/span> He also detects <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">some desperation<\/span><\/em>, \u201cnot only in black lobby groups <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">but on the white left<\/span><\/em>\u201d: \u201cthey\u2019re <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>frightened of the report<\/em><\/span>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>After all, what would the Race Lobby and its hucksters, both in Britain and the States,\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">do<\/span> <\/em>if everyone realized <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">racism <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>do<\/em>esn&#8217;t really exist<\/span><\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/download-7.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" underline;\">certain<\/span><\/em>: As Walt Meisen noted in a follow-up to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dirt.com\/gallery\/more-dirt\/politicians\/black-lives-matter-co-founder-patrisse-khan-cullors-lands-topanga-canyon-compound-1203374803\/patrissecullors_tc1\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">earlier item<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, they couldn&#8217;t afford\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/04\/11\/report-marxist-black-lives-matter-co-founder-buys-four-homes\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">to purchase four homes in less than five years<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, including Commie Khan&#8217;s Georgia property, which includes an aircraft hangar.\u00a0 As contributor Meisen observed, &#8220;How ironic you can own 4 homes and still maintain your Marxist credentials.\u00a0 BLM collected $90 million last year and I guarantee, due to her &#8220;privilege&#8221;, neither Patrisse nor her organization will be audited to verify proper use of the money. THAT would be RACIST!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In yet another related item of which inquiring minds are already aware, <em>NRO<\/em>\u00a0details how the&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>The police officer who fatally shot\u00a0Daunte Wright, a black man, during a traffic stop in a Minneapolis suburb on Sunday had intended to discharge a taser and instead fired a single shot at the man, according to a Minnesota police chief.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Police Chief Tim Gannon of the Brooklyn Center Police Department described the shooting as \u201can accidental discharge.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Gannon\u00a0said\u00a0officers pulled the 20-year-old over for a traffic violation <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and tried to detain him after learning he had an outstanding warrant<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The man <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">then reentered his car<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>and an officer shot him<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230;<span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Wright had a warrant out for his arrest after he <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">failed to appear in court<\/span><\/em> on charges that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>he fled from officers and possessed a gun without a permit during a run-in with Minneapolis police in June<\/em><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soooo&#8230;instead of <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">simply surrendering<\/span><\/em>, he attempted to <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">flee the police<\/span><\/em>&#8230;<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">again<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0 Since one should never speak ill of the dead, we won&#8217;t comment on the departed&#8217;s abysmal judgement, and instead laud him for his consistency.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Though we tire of having to repeat ourselves, this is <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span><\/em> to say Duante Wright deserved to be shot, let alone killed.\u00a0 But had <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">he not attempted to evade arrest<\/span><\/em>&#8230;for a <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">second<\/span><\/em> time&#8230;he&#8217;d be <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">alive<\/span><\/em>\u00a0today, either in jail or more likely out on bail, a conclusion shared <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/3SKivqzLois\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">here<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a> by Brandon Tatum.\u00a0 Brandon&#8217;s analysis is well worth watching, as he questions not only the procedures used by all three officers in general, but the skills and competence of the female officer, Kimberly Potter, in particular.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">EDITOR&#8217;S NOTE<\/span>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/reaganmccarthy\/2021\/04\/13\/police-officer-resigns-n2587853\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">According to Townhall.com<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, Potter, a 26-year veteran of the Brooklyn Center PD, and chief Tim Gannon have <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">both<\/span><\/em> resigned, while the <em>New York Post<\/em>\u00a0is reporting <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/04\/13\/officer-who-fatally-shot-daunte-wright-was-training-a-rookie\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Potter was training a rookie officer<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>, which jives with Tatum&#8217;s assessment of the skills evidenced during the encounter with Wright.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We found this assessment by Wright&#8217;s father Aubrey in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2021\/04\/12\/daunte-wright-police-shooting-near-minneapolis-protest-what-to-know\/7185768002\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">USA Today account<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>\u00a0worth special mention:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cI know my son.<span style=\"color: #333399;\"> He was scared.<\/span> <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">He still (had)\u00a0the mind of a 17-year-old because we babied him<\/span><\/em>. <span style=\"color: #333399;\">He was a great kid.<\/span> He was a normal kid. <span style=\"color: #333399;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">He was never in serious trouble<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>In light of his son having had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear on charges of fleeing police and illegal gun possession, &#8220;serious trouble&#8221; is evidently a relative term in the elder Wright&#8217;s mind.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>In any event, this will be&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/55cpzf.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-92324\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/55cpzf.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"372\" (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile, consider the statements from Dimocratic &#8220;leaders&#8221; in response to what was undoubtedly an accident:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>46*&#8217;s mouthpiece Jen &#8220;Little Goebbels&#8221; Psaki: \u201c<em>We were incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of life <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">at the hands of law enforcement<\/span> in Minnesota yesterday<\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Minnesota misgovernor Tim Walz:\u00a0&#8220;<em>I am closely monitoring the situation in Brooklyn Center. Gwen and I are praying for Daunte Wright\u2019s family as our state mourns <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">another life of a Black man taken by law enforcement<\/span><\/em>.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Two thoughts immediately came to mind: First, nothing like letting the dust settle and await the results of a thorough investigation.\u00a0 Second, were 46* and Minnesota&#8217;s worthless governor to express similar schmaltz at the demise of <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">every Black man killed by another Black man<\/span><\/em>, they&#8217;d be issuing such statements 24\/7.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In a politically-correct overreaction, Minnesota&#8217;s <em>Bring Me The News<\/em> reports how&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bringmethenews.com\/minnesota-news\/brooklyn-center-fires-city-manager-following-daunte-wright-killing\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\">Brooklyn Center mayor fires city manager following Daunte Wright killing<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/55e9r4.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-92350\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/55e9r4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/55e9r4.jpeg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/55e9r4-300x151.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The City Manager&#8217;s crime?\u00a0 He said talk of firing the officer was <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">premature<\/span><\/em> and that &#8220;employees are entitled to due process.&#8221;\u00a0 So the female officer and police chief have resigned, and the city manager fired.\u00a0 Guess the mayor and city council bear no responsibility for Wright&#8217;s death whatsoever!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Moving on,\u00a0<em>NRO<\/em>&#8216;s Charles W.
