<span style=\"color: #008080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>By contributors to these pages<\/em><\/span>, sure. <\/span>But <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not<\/span><\/em> by the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>White House budget office<\/em><\/span>, which forecast inflation of 2.1% in 2021 and 2022 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>in its recent budget proposal<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #008080;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Not<\/em><\/span> by the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>Federal Reserve<\/em><\/span>, which has <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>underestimated inflation at each of its meetings this year<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> At its <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>June<\/em><\/span> monetary policy meeting the median forecast among Fed officials for 2021 was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>3%<\/em><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #008080;\">In <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>March<\/em><\/span> their forecast was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>2.2%<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> In June the<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a class=\"icon none\" style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/powell-gets-his-inflation-11626215534?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACTUAL consumer-price increase over a year ago was 5.4%<\/a><\/em><\/span><span style=\"color: #800080;\">.<\/span><\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remember, increases in the cost of food and fuel, two of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>the biggest<\/em><\/span> line items in the average American&#8217;s household budget, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>AREN&#8217;T INCLUDED<\/em><\/span> in the government&#8217;s inflation calculation.\u00a0 Go figure, though the logic is akin to not including those who&#8217;ve stopped looking for work in the unemployment numbers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>But if the graphics contained in the following item from <em>Gun Free Zone<\/em> via Balls Cotton are accurate, while 46*&#8217;s brain trust may not understand ECON101, John Q. In a forward from Jeff Foutch, <em>The Washington Free Beacon<\/em>\u00a0again informs us\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/biden-administration\/report-philadelphias-proterra-fleet-in-complete-shambles\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em>more than two dozen electric Proterra buses first unveiled by the city of Philadelphia in 2016 are already out of operation<\/em><\/span><\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><strong>&#8220;<em>Turns out the<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">entire fleet<\/span> of Proterra buses was removed from the roads by SEPTA, the city&#8217;s transit authority, in February 2020 due to both structural and logistical problems\u2014the weight of the powerful battery was cracking the vehicles&#8217; chassis, and the battery life was insufficient for the city&#8217;s bus routes.
