We found the headline of interest only because we couldn’t remember a Mike Mitchell in either film, let alone appearing as a star, and a quick search of IMDB showed why.\u00a0 In Gladiator<\/em><\/span><\/a>, Mitchell’s name can be found in the “Rest of cast listed alphabetically” section in an uncredited role, while in Braveheart<\/em><\/span><\/a> he isn’t listed as a member of the cast at all, though his name appears a ways down the page as an uncredited stunt player.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So what would lead FOX<\/em> to describe Mr. Mitchell so inaccurately?\u00a0 The 24\/7 news cycle, and the constant battle for viewers and readers its created, has ushered in the Age of Superhyperbole, in which the localized outbreak of a contagion is a “superspreader”, average storms become “superstorms”, mere models “supermodels” and common stars in every vocation elevated to the status of “superstars”.\u00a0 Such exaggeration cheapens not only our language but dulls our sense and appreciation of the truly<\/em><\/span> great and momentous.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

With no offense whatsoever intended towards the departed, thus does Mike Mitchell, who barely rated mention in the two films for which he was best known in life, become a “star” in death.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is all about the fear<\/em> necessary to compel the masses to self-suppress their rights, accept whatever \u201cguidance\u201d is given to them by government, and pressure their friends, family, and even strangers to get injected<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…<\/span>Is<\/em><\/span> the Delta Variant truly<\/em><\/span> much more dangerous than previous ones? The numbers do not back it as cases<\/em> are going up<\/em><\/span> but deaths are not<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> This indicates what we stipulated earlier, that the new variant is more transmissible<\/em><\/span> but less deadly<\/em><\/span>. But as the old saying goes, if you torture the numbers long enough you can make them say anything.<\/span> According to an article from\u00a0Global Research<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>, mainstream media is torturing the numbers in one of the most egregious scare propaganda campaigns we\u2019ve seen throughout the Covid-19 ordeal<\/em><\/span>, and that\u2019s<\/em><\/span> saying a lot<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
