In the name of God, go!<\/em>\u201d<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<p><strong>Next, writing at <em>The Hill<\/em>, Rebecca Beitsch reports the&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 id=\"page-title\" class=\"title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/national-security\/569017-capitol-police-officer-who-shot-ashli-babbitt-formally-exonerated\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Capitol Police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt is formally exonerated<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/210107-ashli-babbitt-video.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-96272\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/210107-ashli-babbitt-video.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/210107-ashli-babbitt-video.jpeg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/210107-ashli-babbitt-video-300x200.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;&#8230;<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Their actions \u201cpotentially saved Members and staff from serious injury and possible death from a large crowd of rioters who forced their way into the U.S. Capitol and to the House Chamber where Members and staff were steps away,\u201d Capitol Police said in the release.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>\u201cIf the doors were breached, the rioters would have immediate access to the House Chambers. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">The officer\u2019s actions were consistent with the officer\u2019s training and USCP policies and procedures,\u201d the agency continued.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>Babbitt was shot as she tried to enter the Speaker&#8217;s gallery just off the House floor in the Capitol on Jan. 6. <span style=\"color: #800000;\">A group of people who had stormed the building had slammed through a window to the gallery, and Babbitt was climbing through that space.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>The officer fired one shot, hitting Babbitt in the left shoulder.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Federal prosecutors announced in April that they would not be pursuing charges against the officer, saying in a statement that officials determined there was \u201cinsufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>\u201cSpecifically, the investigation revealed no evidence to establish that, at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber,\u201d the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office said in a statement at the time<\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>We<\/em><\/span> report, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>you<\/em><\/span> decide: Watch this video of the event&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\" charset=\"UTF-8\" src=\"https:\/\/nbcboston.com\/portableplayer\/?CID=1:5:2276430&#038;videoID=1842121283561&#038;origin=nbcboston.com&#038;fullWidth=y\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8230;then tell us: (1). If Ashli Babbitt and the SMALL crowd of trespassers present outside the entrance to the gallery posed an imminent threat of &#8220;serious injury or possible death&#8221; to &#8220;Members and staff&#8221;, why did the officers standing between the rioters and the entrance to the gallery vacate their posts immediately prior to the shooting and continue to look on as Babbit was shot?; (2). If Babbitt and the SMALL crowd of trespassers posed an imminent threat of &#8220;serious injury or possible death&#8221; to &#8220;Members and staff&#8221;, why was a &#8220;Member or staff&#8221; sporting a suit and tie calmly striding the halls behind the entrance to the gallery immediately prior to the shooting?; and, (3). If the officer reasonably believed the unarmed Ashli posed an\u00a0imminent threat of &#8220;serious injury or possible death&#8221; to &#8220;Members and staff&#8221; or himself, why did he not place himself between Bobbitt and the gallery?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>No, Ashli shouldn&#8217;t have been there.\u00a0 But sorry, but this was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>murder<\/em><\/span>, pure and simple, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>sanctioned and legalized<\/em><\/span> at the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>highest levels of government<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Moving on, ICYMI,\u00a0<em>NRO<\/em>\u00a0recently revealed a&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"article-header__title\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/house-report-names-public-face-of-chinas-disinformation-campaign-on-covid-origin\/?utm_source=email&amp;utm_medium=breaking&amp;utm_campaign=newstrack&amp;utm_term=24623270\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;
