Haqqani went on.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> &#8220;You\u2019re all welcome back in Afghanistan.&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>He\u2019s lying, of course. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lying<\/span><\/em> is what terrorists <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">do<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> Haqqani\u2019s forces can\u2019t protect the Afghan people from ISIS, or, apparently, from the Taliban itself. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The Islamic militia is executing civilians and former members of the Afghan National Army,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.euronews.com\/2021\/08\/24\/un-has-credible-reports-of-summary-executions-of-civilians-by-taliban\">according<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0to the United Nations.<\/span> And Haqqani\u2019s colleague, spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid,\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/08\/24\/world\/asia\/taliban-women-afghanistan.html\" class=\"broken_link\">warned<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0Afghan women and girls the other day that they should avoid the outdoors and public spaces, since Taliban soldiers &#8220;have not been yet trained very well.&#8221; color: #0000ff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/afghanistan-kabul-airport-explosion-11629976397\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">murdered<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0by suicide bombers at the Kabul airport,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; color: #0000ff;\"><em>lifted the latest federal ban on evictions<\/em><\/span><\/a> during the\u00a0Covid-19 pandemic, siding with landlords against a moratorium the Biden administration\u00a0<a class=\"icon none\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-administration-set-to-issue-new-eviction-moratorium-11628022282?mod=article_inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">imposed this month<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/a>\u00a0despite questions about its legality.
