NRO<\/em> featured the thoughts and comments of a r<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/strong>etired mounted Border Patrol supervisor<\/em><\/span> who completely debunked the Dimocrats’ “whipping” narrative:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“…George Syer, a retired horse patrol coordinator in the Rio Grande Valley and Border Patrol supervisor told\u00a0National Review<\/span>\u00a0that the mounted agents were acting according to standard procedure \u2014 a fact he said would be obvious to anyone with even a passing familiarity with horses<\/span><\/em>. (Which leaves Joe Biden out; guess there weren’t any horses in that Scranton coal mine or the pool where he met Corn Pop!)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSpinning the rein is what we do and any horse person that trains horses and has to deal with them, you will find out that they normally spin the end of the rope, and that gets the horse moving,\u201d Syer said.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a training tool, and it\u2019s a training aid if a horse does not want to cooperate with its rider,\u201d explained Syer, and an especially useful one if \u201cyou have people in front of the horse and they\u2019re 10 to 15 feet away and they\u2019re raising their arms, they have bags, they\u2019re trying to be aggressive in their body language \u2014 this horse does not want to go over there. If you need to apply additional pressure to that horse in order to make him go, you can spin the two-feet tail of your rein and the horse is gonna go away from the sound of that spinning rein and also the visual of it, because he can see it on the one eye that you\u2019re spinning, that same side.<\/span> Remember, a horse\u2019s eyes are on the sides of its head.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Syer added that the primary safety priority of riders is to prevent a collision between human and horse, emphasizing that \u201ceverything<\/em><\/span> is to prevent that horse from making contact with a human being \u2014 everything<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

It follows then that in Syer\u2019s estimation, the White House has erred not just in its diagnosis of what\u2019s happening on the ground<\/span><\/em>, but in its treatment plan<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a bunch of cities all across America that deploy horses in a crowd control capacity,\u201d he noted, arguing that that\u2019s because the animals provide certain strategic advantages and act as a \u201cforce multiplier\u201d when the Border Patrol is overwhelmed, as it right now<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> The Bureau of Land Management\u2019s website observes that horses are \u201cideal\u201d for traversing \u201cthe rugged and remote terrain, the Border Patrol is responsible for securing\u201d as a result of their inherent \u201cstrength, endurance, agility, and intelligence.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, Syer observed, every mounted agent receives \u201csome of the most rigorous mounted horse training in the world\u201d during an intensive six-week program.<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\u201cI would want to have all of the horses in the entire Border Patrol there just to make a perimeter around those camps,\u201d said Syer.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Instead of stripping tools from<\/em><\/span> Border Patrol, the administration should be working to ameliorate the crisis that forced them to use those tools in the first place<\/em><\/span>, a former senior Border Patrol official told\u00a0National Review<\/span>.<\/span> Under the Trump administration, cooperation from the Mexican government had, alongside tougher enforcement mechanisms, stemmed the flow<\/em><\/span> of illegal entries.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is all borne by the rescission of those policies<\/em><\/span>, a definite signal<\/em><\/span> that\u2019s been sent out to the globe that we\u2019re going soft at the border<\/em><\/span>, and then a domestic message that says we are not concerned about immigration enforcement<\/em><\/span>,\u201d he argued<\/strong><\/span>…”<\/p>\n

Message received and clearly<\/em><\/span> understood…on both sides<\/em><\/span> of the border.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“A<\/strong><\/span><\/span>fter<\/span>\u00a0saying nary a discouraging word about the Taliban as they chased us from Afghanistan and held us to an exit deadline that meant abandoning American citizens, green-card holders, and Afghan allies behind enemy lines, Joe Biden has finally found a focus for his moral indignation \u2014 Border Patrol agents on horseback.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Friday morning at a press conference,\u00a0the president of the United States joined the pile-on<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0against a few agents falsely accused of whipping migrants, in one of the more disgraceful moments in a presidency already full of them.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The first thing to say about this is that the underlying charge is\u00a0a complete fantasy<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0concocted on social media and amplified by a lazy or complicit media. The agents didn\u2019t have whips, they had reins, and they didn\u2019t strike anyone with them, despite Biden\u2019s saying that he was outraged at seeing \u201cpeople being strapped.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

One premise of Biden\u2019s primary campaign was that Twitter isn\u2019t real life, but now he\u2019s letting Twitter \u2014 and the activist Left \u2014 dictate his stances as president<\/strong><\/span>…”<\/p>\n

We used the color yellow for this headline, as 46* joining in the unreasoned, unfounded condemnation of the Border Patrol is as big an act of cowardice, political or otherwise, as we’ve ever witnessed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through the incredible ineptitude evidenced in both its Afghanistan and Del Rio debacles, every single American, regardless of their race, religion, color, creed, national origin or sexual identity on any given day has been served notice: This Administration<\/em><\/span>, along with the entire Progressive movement<\/em><\/span>, wants one thing<\/em><\/span> and one thing only<\/em><\/span>, and that’s power<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0 And there’s no one<\/em><\/span>\u00a0or no thing<\/em> <\/span>they won’t sacrifice in their pursuit thereof, be it generations of inner-city ethnics, Afghan allies, members of our Military or America’s national sovereignty itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The media have the whip hand over Democrats, and the results are a horror<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

N<\/span>ot\u00a0<\/span>long ago the Democrats flattered themselves as \u201cthe party of government.\u201d The implication was that Democrats, because they believed in using the government, were naturally more capable of manning the actual beast itself. Although it was never implied directly, you could add the fact that because most of the many millions who work for the executive branch are themselves Democrats in sentiment and orientation, Democrats would be more natural leaders.<\/span> And, to be perfectly honest, there was at least a little credibility to the claim, once we saw Donald Trump in office and saw how elected and unelected Democrats were able to work with their friends in the intelligence community and other parts of the government to frustrate and even outright block Trump. His secretary of energy, for instance, once vowed to abolish the Department of Energy.<\/span> Or, at least\u00a0he tried<\/a><\/em><\/span>\u00a0to vow as much.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So now that Democrats are in charge, are things running smoothly?<\/span> Well, not exactly<\/em><\/span>. Let\u2019s consider Afghanistan and our southern border.<\/span> It\u2019s here that we begin to understand what they mean by government.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Having taken whichever Afghan was closest to the departing plane<\/em><\/span> \u2014 no need to vet them, or check to see whether they had, in fact, offered help and were interpreters<\/em><\/span> \u2014 we have now brought a few obvious criminals<\/em><\/span> to America. Very few<\/em><\/span> of the 124,000 Afghan evacuees we got were on the priority list<\/em><\/span>, and Bloomberg immediately reported that a number<\/em><\/span> of them seemed to be\u00a0coming with child brides<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Now<\/em><\/span> we are getting more specific info<\/em><\/span> about one<\/em><\/span> evacuee who is alleged by the FBI to have\u00a0sexually assaulted two children at Fort McHenry<\/a><\/em><\/span>. At Fort Bliss, a female U.S. soldier has also reported a\u00a0sexual assault by Afghan evacuees<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Hadn\u2019t these new Americans read the news the past five years? You don\u2019t<\/em><\/span> commit your sex crime at a military fort right away<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> You wait until\u00a0New Year\u2019s parties<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

While it was ongoing, this evacuation was deemed a massively enormous success by part of government, which bragged about \u201cthe largest airlift in U.S. history.\u201d<\/span> I guess that\u2019s one way of trying to shine up the worst military humiliation in most of our lives<\/em><\/span>, one in which Joe Biden extended the deadline for our withdrawal several months, allowing the Afghan national government more time to collapse and the Taliban more time to advance and make the whole thing look worse and create what is virtually a hostage situation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Not a single planner at the Pentagon or senior military person has been fired or disgraced about the foul-ups at the airport, or the 20-year failed mission.<\/span> Not one<\/em><\/span>!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Now let\u2019s look at another<\/em><\/span> panicked exit.<\/span> The migrant encampment at the bridge in Del Rio, Texas, has been cleared. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has admitted that the government has transferred to the interior of the country more than 12,000 Haitians<\/em><\/span> who have arrived in a human wave at Del Rio.<\/span> Think they<\/em><\/span> all have court dates? Think again<\/em><\/span>. HHS is too backed up with the child brides to follow up.<\/span> About 2,000 others were deported. This is a strong signal<\/em><\/span> to tens of thousands of other Haitians<\/em><\/span> who may want to move forward with their\u00a0plans to emigrate to the U.S. on foot from Panama, Peru, and Columbia<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

So has anyone<\/em><\/span> at Border Patrol or HHS been fired<\/em><\/span> for releasing well over 10,000 illegal aliens into the country without court dates or follow-ups? Without even the COVID testing<\/span><\/em> that will be required of every American or visa holder who enters this country\u00a0legally<\/em>?<\/span> No<\/em><\/span>, of course not<\/em><\/span>. Instead<\/em><\/span>, they are investigating and disgracing the Border Patrol agents whom we have paid to enforce<\/em><\/span> our laws.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Department of Homeland Security has launched an investigation of the few Border Patrol agents who were photographed while they were on horseback and holding the reins. Coastal media falsely declared<\/em><\/span> that the reins were whips.<\/span> And even though they were not<\/em><\/span> \u2014 even though the video<\/em><\/span> of these events never showed<\/em><\/span> a Border Patrol officer using the reins as whips, President Biden vowed, \u201cI promise you those people will pay,\u201d adding that there would be \u201can investigation under way now, and there will be consequences.\u201d How could he possibly know<\/em><\/span> that there will be consequences before<\/em><\/span> an investigation has gathered the facts \u2014 the facts that are apparent to anyone who watched the whole video<\/em><\/span>?<\/span> Who needs them? The vice president already has said that the incident evoked \u201ctimes of slavery.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Bringing criminals into<\/em><\/span> the country \u2014 that\u2019s<\/em><\/span> commendable. Trying to keep any out<\/em><\/span>, according to our laws<\/span><\/em> \u2014 that\u2019s<\/em><\/span> something for which you\u2019ll pay.<\/span> Now wouldn\u2019t a party of government understand that there might be recruitment problems when Border Patrol agents are publicly tongue-lashed by the president, based on a lie? Wouldn\u2019t a party of government understand that failing to investigate and disgrace the military personnel overseeing the spectacularly failed Afghanistan withdrawal would disincentivize competent leadership in the future?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

My worry is that our leaders do<\/em><\/span> know this and don\u2019t care<\/em><\/span>. My worry is that the real party of government is the media.<\/span> The media wanted to cheerlead<\/em><\/span> the airlift and the evacuees, so criticism of the Biden admin\u2019s botch of a withdrawal has now been muted. And the media are against the idea of borders<\/em><\/span>, so they can\u2019t get too honest about the human wreckage resulting from their campaign to dissolve them.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Dougherty’s not completely<\/em> correct, for as the Morning Jolt notes<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The Pentagon is indeed<\/em><\/span> holding someone<\/em><\/span> accountable in connection to the national humiliation in Afghanistan and abandonment of U.S. citizens, green-card holders, and Afghan allies to the Taliban. Unfortunately, that person is…a Marine who demanded someone be held accountable for our national humiliation in Afghanistan<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong>…”<\/p>\n

Here’s the juice: We believe our “leaders” not only know<\/span><\/em>, but that their actions are all part of a Progressive plan to bring about a Socialist Amerika in which everyone<\/em><\/span> will be equal…equally miserable.\u00a0 With the Liberal elites just a tad bit<\/em><\/span> less miserable and a\u00a0wee bit<\/em><\/span> more equal than others.\u00a0 And those Liberal elites now include the senior members of our Military.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teachers at a Washington High School Are Force-Fed a Slice of \u2018Privilege Pie<\/span><\/a>\u2019<\/span><\/h1>\n

“It\u2019s still two months until Thanksgiving, and already one school district in Washington is serving up pie to its staff. Not pumpkin pie.<\/span> Not apple or cherry. Rather, teachers at Tumwater High School recently were force-fed a big slice of \u201cprivilege pie.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to one employee, teachers in the district were required to attend diversity training where they were asked to examine their privilege. As part of the training, the teachers were instructed to color in a \u201cprivilege pie\u201d \u2013 a pie chart with several so-called privileges, including being white, cisgender male, Christian, heterosexual, and U.S. born.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe more we colored in, the more privileged we were,\u201d the teacher, whose name was not released, told\u00a0Parents Defending Education<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>, a nonprofit that fights classroom indoctrination and activist-driven agendas in U.S. schools.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
