text-decoration: underline;\">Colorado Hospital Refuses Kidney Transplant to Woman Over COVID-19 Vaccine Refusal<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/5pyp6a.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-97204\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/5pyp6a.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"420\" height=\"236\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/5pyp6a.jpeg 420w, https:\/\/www.thedailygouge.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/5pyp6a-300x169.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8220;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>A hospital in\u00a0Colorado\u00a0rejected a woman for a kidney transplant after she refused to get a COVID-19 vaccine, officials have confirmed.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Leilani Lutali received a letter on Sept. 28 informing her that the transplant team at the University of Colorado Hospital <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>decided to designate her inactive<\/em><\/span> on the waiting list for transplants.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>\u201cYou will be inactivated on the list for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>non-compliance<\/em><\/span> by not receiving the COVID vaccine,\u201d the letter states.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>If Lutali <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>continues<\/em><\/span> to refuse to get a vaccine, she \u201cwill be <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>removed<\/em><\/span> from the kidney transplant list,\u201d it added.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Neither Lutali nor her designated donor, Jaimee Fougner, have received a COVID-19 vaccine. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Fougner hasn\u2019t for religious reasons, while Lutali believes there isn\u2019t enough known about the vaccines,\u00a0they told\u00a0KCNC-TV.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>According to Lutali, hospital officials <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>previously<\/em><\/span> said vaccination <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>wasn\u2019t required<\/em><\/span> to get a transplant.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cHere I am, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>willing<\/em><\/span> to be a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>direct donor<\/em><\/span> to her.<\/span> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>It does not affect any other patient on the transplant list<\/em><\/span>,\u201d said Fougner. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cHow can I sit here and allow them to murder my friend when I\u2019ve got a perfectly good kidney and can save her life?\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The hospital <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment<\/em><\/span>.<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> It told news outlets in a statement that there are many requirements in place at transplant centers, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>such as requiring patients to avoid alcohol<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span>&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>In less than eighteen months, we&#8217;ve gone from &#8220;Do no harm&#8221; to &#8220;Do not help&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the juice: What possible threat could an unvaccinated transplant patient and donor pose to a robed, masked, vaccinated surgical team?\u00a0 We&#8217;ll let our personal physician answer that question: ZERO&#8230;ZIP&#8230;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>NADA<\/em><\/span>!!!\u00a0 The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>only threat<\/em><\/span> Ms. Lutali poses is to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>herself<\/em><\/span>, as she&#8217;d be on immunosuppressants for some time immediately following surgery.\u00a0 And as she has a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>designated donor<\/em><\/span>, it&#8217;s not like she&#8217;s <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>taking<\/em><\/span> a kidney from <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>someone else<\/em><\/span> awaiting a transplant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>So why not just test both the donor <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>and<\/em><\/span> recipient for the Wuhan virus immediately prior to the surgery; text-decoration: underline;\">Chinese president insists on Taiwan &#8216;reunification,&#8217; avoids threat of force<\/span><\/span><\/a><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><\/em><\/h1>\n<h3 class=\"sub-headline speakable\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><a style=\"color: #ff9900;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/chinese-president-insists-taiwan-reunification\" class=\"broken_link\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">President Xi Jinping in July promised China would &#8216;smash&#8217; color: #0000ff;\"><em><strong>China\u2019s People\u2019s Liberation Army\u00a0flying 56 planes off the southwest coast of Taiwan last Monday<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a><strong>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong> &#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>setting a new record and capping four days of sustained pressure involving 149 flights. <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">All were in international airspace, but prompted Taiwanese defense forces to scramble in response and raised fears that any misstep could provoke an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">unintended<\/span> escalation<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">.<\/span><\/span>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>perhaps<\/em><\/span>, provoking an <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>intended<\/em><\/span> escalation, or at least a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>convenient excuse<\/em><\/span> for an escalation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Meanwhile&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8220;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>The U.S. called China\u2019s latest actions &#8220;risky&#8221; and &#8220;destabilizing,&#8221; while China responded that the U.S. selling weapons to Taiwan and its ships navigating the Taiwan Strait were provocative.<\/em><\/span>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Both of which have been happening with regularity since 1949 when the Nationalist Chinese retreated to and established a democracy on the island refuge.\u00a0 Fact is, the only &#8220;destabilizing&#8221; resulted in the release of some 12,000,000 gallons, or 285,000 barrels of crude, creating an oil slick which covered 3,000 square miles and impacted some 1,300 miles of coastline, making &#8220;catastrophic&#8221; in this case a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>very<\/em><\/span> relative term.\u00a0 It&#8217;s also worth noting, at the time of the <em>Exxon
