So far in 2021<\/span>, Dr. Hancock has seen more than three times<\/span> as many deaths among her patients as she did in all of 2020<\/span>, and none<\/span> have been from Covid-19<\/strong><\/em><\/span>…”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“If Biden administration officials find themselves in a morose mood as 2021 comes to a close, the holiday season will hopefully give them ample time to<\/span>\u00a0stare out the window<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0and contemplate how so much<\/span><\/em> went so wrong<\/span><\/em> and what to do about it<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> Hopefully<\/span><\/em>, they will come to accept<\/span><\/em> that their system of beliefs about how the world operates proved to be inaccurate in many essential ways<\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This happens, to varying degrees, to just about every<\/span><\/em> elected official.<\/span> They step into office thinking that the country and their state, district, city, or town works a certain way, then eventually reality intrudes<\/em><\/span>, demonstrating that the world and society operate in a much more complicated, interconnected system than they expected<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0F. A. Hayek summarized it succinctly<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0when he said that, \u201cThe curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know<\/span><\/em> about what they imagine they can design.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But this phenomenon extends far beyond<\/em><\/span> economics.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…<\/span>For the totality of his public career, Joe Biden has \u201cknown<\/em><\/span>\u201d that problems are solved by spending money<\/em><\/span>.<\/span> He has been quite explicit about this, repeatedly asserting<\/em><\/span> that caring<\/em><\/span> about an issue or problem is demonstrated by a willingness to spend money<\/em><\/span>; those who do not<\/em><\/span> want to spend more money on a particular issue or problem do not really care about it<\/em><\/span>. He has often cited his father telling him, \u201cDon\u2019t tell me what you value.<\/span> Show me your budget, and I\u2019ll tell you what you value.\u201d (By that<\/em><\/span> standard, if you aren\u2019t spending a lot<\/em><\/span> on your spouse\u2019s Christmas present, you don\u2019t value your spouse<\/em><\/span>.) (Or, by extension, your daughter if you don’t take out a second mortgage to pay for her wedding!<\/em>)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

…<\/span>It\u2019s as if Biden has never\u00a0watched the episode of\u00a0Duck Tales<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>\u00a0(featured at the top of the page in link #2 as our Video of the Day<\/em>)<\/span> where Huey, Dewey, and Louie stumble onto an invention that easily duplicates money \u2014 which turns everyone in town into a millionaire. \u201cIf it keeps duplicating, it could ruin the economy!\u201d Scrooge McDuck warns.<\/span> \u201cDon\u2019t you see<\/em><\/span>? If everyone<\/em><\/span> has it, it loses value<\/span><\/em>.<\/span> Prices will go up<\/em><\/span>, then everyone<\/em><\/span> will have to have more and more money! It will be chaos<\/span><\/em>!\u201d (Which is Socialists\/Communists CRAVE!!!<\/em>)<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Before long, a newspaper is $200 in Duckburg, a lollipop is $5,000, and bus fare is $10,000.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Joe Biden stepped into office with a whole slew<\/em><\/span> of erroneous assumptions.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

  • He assumed<\/em><\/span> that he had much more persuasiveness and charm on Capitol Hill than he actually had: \u201cThe talks between<\/span> [Biden] and Manchin have been going very poorly. They are far apart,\u201d\u00a0a source briefed on the conversations told\u00a0Politico<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/em><\/span> that there was one, unified \u201cscience\u201d for him to follow in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic \u2014 instead of realizing that\u00a0bright and well-meaning doctors and public-health officials sometimes disagree with one another<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/span><\/em> that\u00a0enforcing vaccine mandates would be easy and constitutional<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/span><\/em> that\u00a0passing an infrastructure bill would make Americans feel better about the state of the economy<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/span><\/em> that talking up amnesty would not<\/span><\/em> attract new waves of migrants to the southern border.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/span><\/em> that there was nothing significant about a sudden surge of more migrants in the late winter, after he took office. \u201cIt happens every single, solitary year<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>: There is a significant increase in the number of people coming to the border in the winter months of January, February, March. That happens every year<\/span><\/em>.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/em><\/span> that the Afghan government was stronger and more stable than it was: \u201cI trust the capacity of the Afghan military, who is better trained, better equipped<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>, and more re- \u2014 more competent in terms of conducting war.\u201d \u201c<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He assumed<\/em><\/span> the Taliban was weaker than they were: \u201cThe Taliban is not the south \u2014 the North Vietnamese army<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/span>. They\u2019re not<\/span><\/em> \u2014 they\u2019re not remotely comparable<\/span><\/em> in terms of capability. There\u2019s going to be no circumstance<\/span><\/em> where you see people being lifted off the roof of a embassy in the \u2014 of the United States from Afghanistan.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Biden assumed<\/em><\/span> the Iranians would be eager and serious to get back to the negotiating table about their country\u2019s nuclear program<\/strong><\/span>…”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Need we remind you, “assume” makes an “ass” out of “u” and “me”.\u00a0 And Joe Biden is nothing<\/em><\/span> if not an absolute ass<\/em><\/span>!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Is it any wonder a recent poll shows nearly two-thirds of Americans doubt they can trust Biden<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 We can’t imagine<\/em><\/span>…<\/strong><\/p>\n
